Away from all this 2 souls were enjoying the momentary bliss. Monsoon was in full swing in Mumbai.
Riya didnt bring her car to ETF office that day, so Arjun offered to drop her home.
They sat quietly watching the rain drops falling on the windscreen of the car and being wiped away by the wiper making the view clearer. Somewhere these drops were washing the dust from old memories & bringing forth the beautiful moments spent with HER in the same Rains...somewhere love was blooming...Somewhere love was being cherished

Both were lost in their thoughts.
Riya always loved the rains. She loved dancing in the rain, to feel the water droplets on her face, the slight shiver... all this thrilled her... Of course all this came with a bonus of sneezes and glares from her elder sister. But this time her Annu di was not with her. She felt a bit sad missing her but very soon the thought of Annu being happy and safe with Sameer made her happy and she smiled to herself.

Arjun had the best time of his courtship period with Roshni during the monsoon. He remembered how they used to have cutting chai in a road side tea stall and shared roasted corn simmered with lemon, salt and pepper. Roshni's smiling face flashed in front of his eyes. And suddenly he noticed Riya smiling and he too felts his lips curling into smile.
Kuch aise hi din teh woh jab hum miley teh
chaman mein nahin phool dil mein khiley teh
wohi toh hai mausam magar rut nahin woh
mere sath barsat bhi roh padi hai
lagi aaj sawan ki phir woh jhadi hai
He was still scared to aknowledge his feelings for Riya and what added to it was Sameer's concern for Riya. Sameer and Annu were planning to look for a suitable match for Riya and he knew Sameer would never trust him after what happened to Roshni. Somewhere deep down his heart he too believed that Roshni was killed because of him.
Koi kash dil pe jara hath rakh le
mere dil ke tukdoh ko ik sath kar le
magar yeh hai khwabon khayalon ki baatein
kabhi toot kar cheez koi judi hai

Riya while thinking about Sameer and Annu wished to have someone besides her too. Someone with whom she can share little joys of her life just like Sameer and Annu did. She longed for that feeling of love. She stole a glance at Arjun but was disappointed realising that it was impossible to imagine all this with him. After he lost Roshni, things were changed for him and they will never be same. Looking at his gloomy face she felt an urge to hold him in arms hiding him from the world and assure him that everything will be fine. But she knew that was not possible, at least for now.
They stopped at a road side tea stall for tea and Arjun orders for tea for himself. Riya makes a funny face when that tea stall guy brings tea for Arjun in glass.
Riya: Sir aapko chai hi peeni thi to... wo to mere ghar pe bhi pee saktey they ... ek to ye baarish aur ye yaha ki chai... is glass mein... i mean... it's so
unhygienic .. aap beemar pad gaye to ?
By now Arjun was used to Riya's hygiene obsession. As usual, he glared back at her sipping tea and she understood it was a signal for her to keep quiet and lowered her gaze. Arjun was actually amused by her hygiene obsession and was really touched by her concern for her, but he could not express it.
They started off again after Arjun finished tea. There was a huge traffic jam because of rains. They had to take an alternative route which passed from Sameer's place.
It was almost 8:00 PM. Riya couldnt control her urge to meet Annu. She pleaded Arjun to drop her at Sameer's place and he agreed.
When they entered the society gate, Arjun too felt like going inside. Both of them reached upstairs. Everyone is happy to see them. And Suman starts complaining to Riya and Arjun about Sameer's cancelled plan and Annu's timid behaviour. Sameer and Annu were helplessly looking at Arjun and Riya and they were amused at this scene.
Suman asks them to stay back for dinner and goes to prepare for it. Riya and Annu follow her, but Suman is still taunting Annu and these girls were amused at Suman's "love wala gussa" and "gusse wala love".
Sameer was scared that now Arjun might ask him about the important case for which he cancelled his honeymoon and he knew he wont be able to lie to Arjun. But before Arjun could ask anything, his eyes fall on a bunch of keys hanging on a keyring holder. He realised that his mom left the keys of his flat at Sameer's place.
With last few days spent happily at Sameer's wedding and today's weather reminding him of Roshni, he felt like going back to the flat. He wished to feel the place again where he had spent the most beautiful moments of his life. He wanted to feel the presence of Roshni around himself. He got up and walked towards the key holder.
He extended his hand to pick up the key with hesitation but quickly withdrew it back. Sameer and his father noticed all this.
DSR: kab tak bhaagoge beta ... (Arjun turns to look at him) ... wo tumhare andar hai ... us ghar se door reh ke kya tum purani yaado ko bhula paaye ho ab tak? Nahi na ...
Arjun knew what Mr Rathore said was true. He stayed away from that house because Roshni's memories haunted him, but even after living in the lodge, he couldnt shrug off her thoughts. So what was there to be scared of?
Nothing ... and in fact by staying away from the home that Roshni herself he was hurting her more. He decides to go back to that flat once again to feel his love back.
Arjun: aap sahi bol rahey hain Papa... wo meri zindagi ka atoot hissa hai ... nahi alag kar sakta ussey... aur karna bhi nahi chahta ... to fir kyun door bhaagu ussey...
Mr Rathore smiles and Sameer puts his palm on Arjun's shoulder and lightly presses it.
Arjun picks up the keys and goes to his flat. He glides his fingers on the nameplate and looks at it for a few seconds. He opens the lock and switches on the light. He realised that everything was clean and guessed that Suman was regularly taking care of his house after Savita and Suryakant left.
He saw that a small Diya was still lit up in front of Roshni's photo. He was touched to see that Suman still did this. Roshni's face in the photo was glowing with the aura of light of Diya.
He glided his fungers on her photo. It hurt him and a lone tear escaped his eye. He turned and went to their bedroom. Everything was still same. He lied on the bed lost in the memories of Roshni.
He got up after a while and went outside and saw Riya looking at Roshni's photo. He walked towards her.

A little while back
Riya came out of the kitchen and saw Arjun was not with Sameer and Mr Rathore. She enquired about him and Sameer told her that he had gone to the neighbouring flat which was owned by him. Riya was surprised to know this. She excuses herself and out of curiosity goes to Arjun's flat. The door was ajar.
She entered the flat and stood there observing the place. It was beautifully decorated. The furniture, curtains, colour of the walls was tastefully chosen. Her eyes fall on Roshni's photo and she is mesmerised looking at her beauty. She walked towards it as if in a trance and stood in front of it. She was watching Roshni's photo for the first time. She felt sad that such an angel lost her life for no mistake of hers. She stood there for a while when she sense Arjun's presence behind her.

Arjun came close to Riya but before he could say anything a breeze of air entered the room from the window and the flame of the diya flutters a little. Riya is faster and Cups her hand covering the flame of diya, protecting it and Arjun cups his hands cupping Riya's cupped hands and their eyes lock and they seemed to be lost in each other's eyes. All this in fromt of Roshni's smiling photo.
As if Roshni is happy to see Arjun with Riya, the girl who is slowly changing her Arjun and bringing him back to the normal and happy world and being with him in all circumstances.
Arjun snaps out after a few seconds and moves to the window to close it and Riya removes her hand after the window is closed. Riya quickly leaves and Arjun stood there for a while looking at her retreating back.
Riya(thinking while rushing out): hey bhagwan ye kya ho gaya?... Akdu Rawte ko pasand nahi hai ki uski personal life ke barey mein koi kuch bhi kahey...humesha kehtey hain ki "mujhe kisi ki help ya sahare ki zarurat nahi hai"... aur aaj to mai uske ghar ke andar... usi ki wife ke photo ke saamne... diye ke paas jakar ... usey sambhalne ki koshish kar rahi thi... in short... wo bhi to ek tarah ki "help" huyi na... Riya Mukherjee!!!! be prepared for a dhamaka... tune to diye ko bujhne se bacha liya...par tuje ko nahi bacha sakta is toofan se...
Arjun was earlier lost in Roshni's thoughts but when he tried to save the flame of Diya, his hands instead of covering the flame, touched Riya's hands.
He looked up into his eyes and was completely lost into them. He couldn't think of anything else. He looked at Roshni's photo after Riya left.
Roshni: kya soch rahe ho ACP Rawte? fir se us bechari ladki ko daantoge? kyunki wo ye diya bachane ki koshish kar rahi thi?
Arjun is quiet.
Roshni: kyun Arjun? agar wo diya bachane nahi aati to tum usey insensitive samajhtey... ki wo help karne nahi aayi... ab aayi hai to bhi tum usey galat samajh rahey ho... kyun kartey ho tum us bechari ke saath aisa? dekho... ab wo sirf tumhari team member nahi hai ... kuch aur bhi hai ...
Arjun: Kuch aur?
Roshni: haan... wo tumhari Annu bhabhi ki behen hai ... aur tum uski "Didi ke dewar"
Arjun's lips curve into a smile at this "Didi ke dewar" thought.
Roshni: chalo jao ab... Sam intezar kar raha hoga... aur haan... please ye smile banaye rakho... meri baat yaad rakhna?
He looks at the photo one last time and leaves the flat. He locks it and comes back to Sameer's place.
They have dinner and Arjun casually steals glances at Riya and finds her looking at him with puppy eyes. Obviously she was scared after what happened in his flat.
Later he drops her home and goes to his lodge. Drive to her place was quiet which surprised Riya.
Once in lodge, Arjun decides that very soon he will be shifting back to his flat.
