I Will Be There For You

"Ek bhi auto dikhai nahi de rahi hai..." Sakshi stamped her foot hard against the hard tar road which didn't feel any pain from her act...

After a long day of solving cases looking miserable faces who are in need of justice and some happy faces who are justified, Sakshi stepped out of ETF office at 10:30 PM... Everyone left before her except Arjun who is still into case files. Sakshi turned her head to right then left and again right and left...

"Serr hilane se auto todi milne wala hai.." Sakshi thought to herself with stressful expression on her face. " Sare auto wale itni jaldi sogaye kya...??" She started cursing...

It's been 11:00... She has no more patience stand there and wait... "Mein auto ke liye na wait kar ke paidal chali jati toh ade raste mein hoti..." she thought to herself... Sakshi was going to move from there when she saw Arjun stepping out of ETF office... He got into his SUV and started it...

"Arjun se lift magleta hoon..." Sakshi moved towards his car...

"Hai Arjun...!!!" She wished him...

"Tum abhi tak yahi ho ghar nahi gayi...??" He questioned in hi hard voice and before Sakshi could answer him... He said, "Jaldi ghar jao, subha 7 baje phir se office pahunchna hai..." He left from there with listening to Sakshi's reply...

"Abhi tak yahi hoon iska matlab yahi hai na ki mujhe koi auto nahi mila hai... Arjun ka brain sirf case solving mein hi kaam ata hai..."

She convinced herself to walk some distance and find an auto... She prayed god to send some person who can help her... After taking few steps Sakshi saw Arjun's car coming back... Arjun's SUV came to halt before her, Sakshi's face lightened with a smile...

"Auto nahi mil raha hai...??" He questioned...

"Ha Arjun... ada gante se wait kar rahi hoon, koi auto dikhayi nahi diya..." Sakshi answered in her chirpy voice...

"Aakar beto, mein drop kar deta hoon, iss samai akela jaana teekh nahi hai..." Arjun offered...

"Kya baat hai Arjun, tumhe meri phikar hone lagi hai...???" Sakshi questioned in a teasing tone...

Arjun's one glare made her straight... She silently opened car door and occupied front seat... She pulled seat-belt but it got stuck... Arjun opened his seat-belt and helped her to wear her seat-belt... He came back to his seat and wore his seat-belt and started drving... Sakshi is continuously blabbering but Arjun is not at all listening... Sakshi understood that there no use speaking to living statue... She switched on FM, which is playing song...

Rukh Rukh, Rukh Baba rukh...

Oh my darling give me a look...

Dil mere dhadke tere liye...

Gussa tera walla walla, nakre tere uff.. uff

"Kya gana hai, bilkul situation song..." Sakshi quivered...

Arjun gave a look...

"Tum baat nahi karte ho, mein baat karti hoon toh gusse se dekhte ho..." Sakshi said in disappointed tone...

"Uss insaan se baat kiya jata hai jiske pass dimag ho..." Arjun countered her saying... Sakshi looked at him with her big round eyes...

"Abb kaha jana hai...??" Arjun enquired...

Sakshi with no change in her expression said, "Yaha se right phir left and next right last house..."

Arjun halted his car infront of her house... Sakshi got down and wished him good night and bye.. She went inside forgetting her bag inside car... Arjun was going to start from there when he saw her purse...

"Sakshi bhi na, apne saamaan sambal ke nahi rakh sakti hai.." Arjun thought in his mind...

He got down his car...

He stood before door and knocked it... Sakshi thinking who could it be in this late hour opened door...

"Arjun, tum...??" She asked with surprised expression...

"Tum yeh purse bhool gayi ho..." He replied...

"Oh, thanks.." Sakshi replied in gratitude and invited him to come inside...

"It's ok, bahot daer ho gayi hai.. mujhe jana chahiye..." he refused politely...

But because of Sakshi's stubbornness and continues pleasing he went inside... Sakshi offered him to sit...

"Ek minute, mein aapke cutting chai leke aata hoon..." She said and left from there...

Arjun looked around clean and neatly decorated house... There is wall full of photo frames and honored certificates hanging down... Arjun walked to them to see... There are some family photos with Sakshi, her parents and her brother and some other photos of a person in army uniform... That army person is Sakshi's father... Sakshi came there with his cutting chai...

"Yeh lo Arjun tumhara cutting chai.." Sakshi presented his chai to him...

Arjun looked surprised at her thinking... "How will she able to get cutting chai every time..?" Arjun turned her gaze back to photos...

"Yeh mera bhai hai, arm mein tha... Pichle saal death hogayi..." Sakshi said pointing to a well-built young man standing beside her in family photo...

Arjun gave her a kind look...

"I am sorry..." Arjun said in soft tone..

"It's ok.. usse army mein join hoe ka bada shock tha... Baba ka beta jo hai.. Yeh mere Baba hai aur ayi... Baba bhi amry mein te" She pointed her index finger on the photo to show her parents... "Bhai ki maut ki sadma ayi seh nahi payi, kuch din baad aayi bhi guzar gayi..." Sakshi said in really emotional tone... Arjun didn't understand how to react... Sakshi added, "Abhi sirf mein aur Baba rehte hai iss ghar mein..."

"Tumhare Baba kaha hai...??" Arjun enquired...

"Andar kamre mein..." Sakshi replied... "Ayyo Deva..." Sakshi hit head with her hand... "Mein toh bhul hi gayi... Arjun tum beto mein abhi aati hoon..."

Arjun sat on the couch enjoying his cutting chai... When he heard Sakshi's voice from inside...

"Baba apne dawai nahi liya... Nurse diya nahi aapko..?? Mein ne usse kaha ki mein late hojaungi... Mein kal kabar leti hoon..." Sakshi voice from inside covered living room also...

Sakshi came out of room smiling...

"Tumhari Baba teekh toh hai...???" Arjun questioned her...

"Ha... thodi si tabiyat karaab hai, issi liye nurse ko rakha hai..." Sakshi replied...

"Teekhe, mein abhi chalta hoon... kal 7 baje office pahunch jana..." Arjun said and took his leave from there...

Sakshi went and closed door and came back to her father...

Arjun came to his car but forgetting his keys inside...

"What happened Arjun..??? Tum kuch bhi bhoolte nahi ho, abhi car keys kaise bhulgaya...??" He scolded himself and went back...

He knocked door but door was not locked... So he entered inside but couldn't find Sakshi anywhere round...

"How careless Sakshi is...???" He murmured...

He saw his keys on table. He reached them and all set to leave... But he stopped his foot hearing sobs from inside... He was hesitant to go but thinking if something is wrong, he should help... He went inside and saw Sakshi crying holding her father's hand... Sakshi didn't even sense Arjun's foot step's... Arjun was shocked seeing her father lying unconscious on bed with scelane on one hand other medical equipment around...

"Aap jaldi teekh hojayenge Baba...?? Mein hope nahi chodungi... Aap hi toh hai meri zindagi mein..." She wiped her tears and turned... She got shocked seeing Arjun there...

"Arjun... Yaha kya kar rahe ho...???" Sakshi asked with astonished expression on her face...

"Yaha ho kya raha hai..??" Arjun countered her question with his instead of answering... " Tumhari Baba ko kya hua hai...??"

"3 saal pehle abbu ka accident hua tha... Serr mein chot lagne ki wajah se yeh comma mein chale gaye the... tab se aise hi hai... Na kuch sun sakte hai, na kuch bol sakte hai... Baba ko toh ayi aur bhai ki gujarne ki khabar bhi pata nahi hai..." Sakshi answered with teary eyes...

Arjun got surprised looking at that innocent soul whom he always thought who can never handle any situation, is handling more painful part of her life without any complaints and with a wide smile on her face... Sakshi wiped her tears...

"Arjun, tum waapass kyun aye ho...?? Kuch kaam tha...??" Sakshi questioned...

"Woh mein car keys bhool gaya tha..." Arjun answered...

"Iska matlab hai ki Arjun Surya kanth Rawte bhi normal insaan ki tarah cheese bhulte hai..." Sakshi said in teasing tone...

Arjun didn't answer and also didn't glare at her... He didn't understand how can she be so happy in minutes forgetting her pain... He was taking leave, Sakshi followed him... Arjun asked her not to come, he will go... Arjun came out of room and collected his keys... He heard Sakshi's scream and went back to room...

Sakshi's father was not able to breathe and struggling on bed for his life... Sakshi didn't understand what to do.. Arjun came inside running...

"what happened..??"

"Pa... pata nahi bab.. baba ko kya hogaya hai...?" Sakshi's words stammered in tension... Tears are flowing through her eyes...

"Humein inhe jaldi hospital leke jana hai..."

Arjun picked her father in his arms and went to his car... Sakshi followed him.. He placed him in back seat and Sakshi sat with her father trying to handle his condition... Arjun came back to driving seat and drove off...

Hospital:

Arjun and Sakshi are waiting outside ICU... Sakshi is in tears... Arjun didn't understand what to do... He thought of calling Aisha, but he felt that disturbing at this late hour is not right thing... Doctor came out wearing his stetch-scope around his neck... Sakshi got up from her seat and also Arjun went to doctor...

"Baba kaise hai...?" Sakshi managed to enquire in between her sobs...

"aap tension matt lijiye... Aapke baba teekh hai... health mein bhi improvement dikhayi de raha hai..." doctor answered with a pleasant smile and left from there...

Sakshi sat back in her place with happy tears of her father's improving health... Arjun came and sat beside her... He kept her hand on her hand which is on steel handle of the chair... Sakshi looked at him...

"Agar Baba ko kuch hojata toh mein akeli hojati Arjun, meri liye iss duniya mein aur koi nahi hai..." Sakshi said from her shivering voice...

Arjun went close to her and wiped her tears...

He said, "Isse matt kaho Sakshi, tum kabhi akele nahi hoti... I will be there for you.."

There journey of being for one another started...
