Some Unseen and Untold moments of Arjun... (Part 8)

(Shree stormed in to the room, before Arjun could open the door)

As Shree entered he found everything was scattered in the room. Files and papers are on the floor. Shree understood the situation and felt awkward that he had to get in at this time. Yet he managed to speak up...

Shree: "Sorry Sir, but commissioner sir apko dhund rahein hain. Ap o kai bar call kiya but apne receive nehi ki, toh mujhe kaha ki..."

Arjun stretched his hand to get Shree's phone, Shree handed him saying "It's urgent!"

Arjun took the phone. "Yes Sir?"

..."No Sir, main toh bass... Right Sir! Okay Sir!" Then Arjun returned Shree his mobile.

(and he continues) "Shree, mera phone?" Then he started to look around, Shree too helped him in searching, but it was not there.

Shree: "Sir, lagta hain aap conference room pe chod aye hain... Main dekhta hu". (and he leaves the room)

Meanwhile Arjun picked up all the files and put them back on the shelves. While two files came in his attention. One was Roshni's file and the other authorized by Rathod with his signature. So he get to his table and put those two files in his bag. Then at the same time he took out some other important files from under his table, where he usually hid them. He checked in a way as him make sure nothing was missing.

Then Shree returned. "Sir, nehi mila!"

Arjun: "Par maine toh baat karke wohi rakkha tha ... table k upar."

Suddenly something popped in his head, though he didn't let Shree notice it. Instead, he gave Shree the files he just took out from the hidden place.

Arjun: "Shree, inn files ko jara scan karke apne paas store karke rakkho. "

Shree: "Right Sir."

Arjun: "Make sure they are safe. It's very confidential... " (Then he looked him in the eyes) Samjhe ya..."

Shree: "Samajh gaya Sir!" (He knew what Arjun meant) "Don't worry Sir."

Then Arjun went outside the room to look for his phone. Suddenly he saw something blinking under a stool placed in the corridor. He got close to it and surprisingly found it's his phone. He checked it, found commissioner's number 3 times in the missed call list. He took the phone and put it back in his pocket. But he felt something went really wrong. How the hell this phone came here... He tried to remember if he dropped it somehow or not. But nothing he could traced. So he just returned to his cabin, found Shree closing the last file.

As he entered, Shree spoke. "Sir, all are copied and safely store bhi karliya." Then he returned those files to Arjun. Arjun took them and threw in the trash can, then asked for a match or lighter from Shree. Shree handed him with a device, it's a torch cum lighter (Of course our Specky sen always got something innovative, different and interesting stuffs in his possession.) Arjun took the lighter, got impressed. In few minutes those files were burnt into ashes. Arjun took the bin in the washroom, flashed all the burnt ashes and papers and came out in the room, put the bin at its place. Then he asked Shree...

Arjun: "Shree, mere saath chalo."

Shree packed his bag in a hurry and they both left the room. They entered the conference room to inform others, Arjun spoke to Ayesha.

Arjun: "Ayesha? Commissioner sahab ne mujhe unse milne ki liye bulaya hain, urgently. Main Shree ko apne saath leke ja raha hu."

"Raaste pe agar humhe Rathod ki koi khabar miley, will inform u. Tum force tayar rakhna. Aur agar tumhe kuch pata chale mujhe fauran bata dena.

Then he turned to Chottu - "Chottu, apni khabriyo se pata lagane ki koshihs karon" "We will be back soon."

Shree spoke to Liza: "Liza, Rathod Sir ki gadi se jo pin mila hain, uska details aur report ka copy mujhe mail kardena, plz." "Let's see if I can get any clue by this time!"

Liza nod. Then both Arjun and Shree left the office. Chottu and Ayesha got busy in calling their informers and other sources. When Liza sat to send mail. Shree and Arjun sped up for the commissioner's office.

On their way, they crossed an ice-cream shop. A couple got Arjun's attention. The boy was sitting on his bike seat with a cup ice-cream in his hand and the girl standing by him with her ice-cream. It reminded Arjun of his and Roshni's old days.

Chap - An Evening walk

After Roshni came to India, Sam got too busy with his work. As he was appointed as ETF chief, so new work, new duties...it took him a while to do the set up and all. And with his busy times, it was hard for him to keep Roshni's company. So most of the time he asked Arjun to do him favor.

A week later, of Roshni's arrival, Sam had to take her to dinner for their reunion. But a new case came up and he got stuck in the office. As usual he asked Arjun to pick Roshni up and to drop her at the restaurant and keep her company till he got there. So Arjun agreed and went to pick Roshni.

Arjun rode his bike and when he reached Sam's place Roshni was already outside the gate waiting. Arjun stopped in front of her and took off his helmet.

Arjun: "Hello!" (With his gracious smile he greeted her)

Roshni: "Hi" (Greeted him back with a boring mood)

Arjun: "Kya baat hain, Madam ka mood off lagta hain!" (He teased)

Roshni: "Aur nehi toh kya, yeh bhi koi baat hui? Jab se ayi hu Sameer ko baas apni kaam ki padhi hai, usshe toh meri koi fikar hi nehi..."

Arjun: (Tried to cheer her up, so kept smiling) "Woh kya hai na, Roshni... bichare ko nayi nayi responsibility mila hai na, toh sambhal ne mei thoda waqt toh lagega..."

Roshni: "Tum toh uska tarafdari karoge hi, tumhara dost jo hai. Hamesha uska side lete ho... sare police wale ek jaise hote hai!"

Arjun: (Couldn't stop laughing at this point, but them controlled himself as Roshni was actually getting angry) " Okay baba, sorry. Nehi leta uska side. Sam ka galati hai, manta hu..."

(and he added) "waise according to Sam, I'm not very bad as a friend" (He grinned as if showing his self-confidence) "so tum mere saath enjoy kar sakti ho!"

Roshni: "Haan, Haan, bade aye... acche wale dost!" (Saying so she started to walk to the other direction).

Arjun: "Arrey, Kahan chaldiye?! Roshni?!"

Roshni: "Mujhe walk pe jana hai, tumhe ana hain toh aao, warna dafwa hojao!" (Then she crossed the road)

Finding no option, Arjun parked the bike by Sam's gate, locked it in a hurry and ran after Roshni.

Arjun: "Come on yaa... Roshni, yea kya baat hui? Sam ne kaha tha tumhe restaurant lekar janeki liye".

Roshni: "Tum yahan Sam ki kehne pe aye ho, to phir bhool jao, main uske liye kahin nehi jane wali. Agar tumhe meri saath chalna hai toh bolo, warna thik hain ... main akeli chali jaungi."

Arjun: "No, no ... it's okay! Main tumhare saath atahu nah?!" (He smiled again)

Then they both started to walk. Cool breeze was blowing. Winter is almost near. Suddenly Roshni stopped in front of a ice-cream shop, on the road side.

Roshni: "Arjun! "Mujhe ice-cream khani hain!"

Arjun: "Ice-cream?! ... Iss sardi main? Tumhe jukham hojayega!"

Roshni: "Kuch nehi hoga!!!"

Arjun: "Dekho Roshni, meri baat suno, aise mausam mein ice cream khana thik nehi hain, khasi hogayi toh?!"

Roshni: "Tum ice-cream dilate ho ki nai?!" (She started to insist like a child)

Arjun: ""Ok, baba, chalo!" (So he took her inside the shop. Roshni took a chocobar and Arjun got a cup ice-cream.)

Roshni: "Tumhe cup ice-cream pasand hai?!" (She found it very interesting, and giggled)

Arjun: "Not really, bass aise hi... it's the easiest way. Kiuki agar yea melt bhi hojaye toh khana ahsan hain."

Roshni: "Haan, haan, pata chalta hain!" (She laughed at Arjun, in teasing way).

Arjun likes the sound of her laughter. And when she walks, the sound of her anklet rings like a wind chimes, which he founds fascinating. Then they both started to talk about themselves. They shared lot. About their childhood, their family... don't know how long they walked that evening. They even forgot about Sam, so when he called them, they realized that Sam was waiting but it was already late, so Arjun walked Roshni back to Sam's place...

(Flashback ends, as Shree's phone rang, and Arjun was distracted by the reality)

Liza called to check if Shree got the mail, then they hung up. Shree looked at Arjun to ask something...

Shree: "Sir, aap Roshni Ma'm ko bohot miss karte ho na?"

Arjun: (as if the question lit fire inside him to burn him inside out, once again) "Haa, Shree. Main ushe baas miss hi nehi karta hu, balki woh har waqt mere jehen mein hai, she was my everything."

"Though I never said it to anyone before, but after her you guys are the only family that I'm left with!"

(Saying so he tried to control his emotion.)

The phone rang again. Ayesha called Arjun.

Ayesha: "Arjun Sir? Humare office ka security system ko hack kiya gaya hain, all the networks are blocked. We can't even operate anything. Ab hum Rathod sir ko kaise trace karenge?!"

Arjun ordered Shree to stop the car at once and to get his laptop. So Shree parked the car on the road side and took his laptop out.

Arjun: "Shree? Kisine humare office ka security line hack kiya hai, jara connect karke dekho!"

Shree followed him and the sooner he entered the password he could see the entire office's security system was jammed, he wanted to shut it down but Arjun ordered him to track it down. So he did.

Shree: "Sir, yea toh Rathod sir ki PC ko target kar raha hai!"

Arjun: "Get in the car Shree, main drive karta hu...tum iss hacker ko track karne ki koshish karo!"

So they jumped in the car, both fasten their seat belts. Arjun sped up to their way back to headquarters. They were one and a half block away from the office, when they heard a sound of blast. And from a distant they could see the flames. Arjun sped up with all his might, and reached the front of the ETF office road. They saw the entire ETF Headquarter is on fire. People on the street are running here and there. Some people on the road got injured as well. Shree screamed in shock - "NO!!!"

He and Arjun both got off the car. But the securities stopped them. Arjun forced to get close to the office, but then more police cars, fire brigades, bomb squad, ambulance all started to arrive one by one. Also the Commissioner's car reached. Arjun ran to him - "Sir, ... Sir? Yea sab... mera team? ... (He is in tears, speechless and shocked)

The commissioner asked him return - "Wohi toh main tumse poochna chahata hu Arjun... ki yea sab kya hain? Kya kiya tumne?!"

In his disbelief, Arjun looked at the commissioner, "Sir, Main?!"

Commissioner: "Haa tum! Maine tumhe kahan tha ki mujhse fauran akar milo...lekin nai, tum toh yahan apne team ko khatam karne ka plan banaliya! (He spat)

Arjun couldn't believe his own ears and eyes, He couldn't even think of anything. Why he is being accused like this? Then the commissioner ordered the other police officer to arrest him. Arjun felt like he is not in his senses. He is all numb... nothing he could do on that very moment. He didn't fight back. He didn't say a word. They took him in the police van, all he could see around is burning ashes and flames surrounded him. And then the police van took him away!

While they were taking him away from the spot, in the police van (Even after all the shocks, Arjun managed to get himself back in full senses and tried harder to understand, what's happening around) He looked out for Shree, but there is no sign of him, nor the ETF SUV, as if they were vanished in the thin air.

In past couple of hours, Arjun's life has changed a thousand folds. Things have happened those were unimaginable. But these are facts, all the hours he faced and the hours he needed to face further. He is feeling torn apart, alone and losing his will power. He's getting desperate. All he wishes for the moment is to free himself and run away from here (just for a while, if that's necessary) so he can find out who is behind all this or what is happening!

He's trembling with anger, when the voice inside his head just speak - "Arjun, apne gusse par control rakkho, please. Humarey khatir!"

Her mesmerizing voice is all that keeps him breathing. He closed his eyes, tried to concentrate on her, as if it will make him forget everything that he's being through. Then some real voices distracted him, he opened his eyes and saw in one of the cell, few prisoners were playing cards (a way of entertainment in such damned place). Arjun looked away and closed his eyes again. Suddenly it clicked his memories, he stopped shaking, as if remembering only her, relaxes him. All he can hear now is her voice, the sound of her laughter, the smell of her odor. He froze at the sight of his Angel - "Roshni".

Chap - Suddenly I will play my Ace (1)

(Flashback Starts)

Feels like only yesterday, they were sitting face to face - at Arjun's place, playing cards. Sam was late again to pick Roshni. So Arjun got a chance to keep her company. Since they aren't sure, what to talk about, and both finds it really hard to carry on with the conversation (no matter what so ever the topic is) it ends quickly and all they do is stealing glances and feel awkward till it's time to get apart for sometimes (When Sam took Roshni away to his place, from Arjun - this is frustrating. She should be here, with him, all the time, as long as possible, and may be forever) .

So this evening Arjun decided not to repeat the awkwardness, rather playing cards was a better solution for the time, he thoughts. In fact Arjun finds it better than any other way, to stare at her as much as he wants, while she is concentrating on her cards. He knows he is falling in love with her, only this frustration he can't help to know about her feelings. He finds it really hard to read her face, what she is thinking while she smiles to herself. She is witty, innocent and above all she made him fell something - like out of the world.

So, Roshni asked him to leave the windows open, its nice weather outside, sweet breeze is blowing. Roshni likes it on her face, and Arjun loved to see her removing her hairs from her face with her fingers, wish he could touch the softness on her cheek, the way her hairs do! He's breathing faster, a funny feeling is the stomach, and he keeps staring at her. When she stares back, he pretends like concentrating on the game that which card to play.

Arjun decided to play some music, just to break the silence between them, he chose the track that would help him define the situation he's being through for the moment (They say, when words are not enough, songs make it easier for you to say it - so he thought of giving it a try, at least) Jagjit Sing's ghazals - what can be more appropriate than this? Besides he always enjoy these types of songs. Jagjit Singh is his all time favorite. so he picked carefully -

"Tera Chehra Kitna Suhana Lagta Hai

Tere aage chaand purana lagta hai"

Though the silence is broken, he is finding it too hard to hide it from his face, surely he looks like - being stuck by the fire-bolt. Even if he is trying to choose cards, he can hardly stop staring at her. Basically they are stealing glances. And when she smiles to herself, Arjun gets more curious and keeps on staring without even blinking at times!

"Tirche tirche teer nazar ke lagte hai

sidha sidha dil pe nishana lagta hai"

So they keep on playing, Roshni could understand Arjun's condition, even if she is not entirely sure, but she feels for him too. And seeing Arjun lost in thoughts - she gets chances to cheat. She picked cards twice and Arjun didn't even bother to notice. But the third time, he caught her by hand, snatched her cards and dropped his own too on the table saying - "You just Cheat!"

Roshni bit her tongue, then starts making faces and finally started to laugh by showing Arjun the card she picked last time. It was a joker! So they both started to laugh. With the sound of her laughter, Arjun stopped, he froze, his smile started to fade away and all he manages is to stare at her.

" Aag ka kya hai pal do pal mei lagti hai

bujhte bujhte ek zamana lagta hai"

Roshni too, is falling for him. Its hard for her too, to hide her feelings and the way she reacts to his looks. So she did it purposefully, to break Arjun's concentration, as he kept staring at her.

"Sach toh ye hai phool ka dil bhi chhalni hai

hasta chehra ek bahana lagta hai"

She knows, she loves him more than anything. He knows, he loves her too more than anything in this world... but none could say it that evening!
