A few hours earlier
Watching Sakshi faint again in Aisha's arms tugged something inside of his heart. He felt a bit ashamed of what he had done, but he had already solved this case a few hours ago, but just to prove his point he had to catch the killer red-handed, so he had decided to lay a trap. And since except Sakshi, no one was here, he decided to gamble with her life. It didnt mean that her life was at risk, he had everything planned, and he knew that not even one hair of Sakshi wouldn't have been harmed.
But still he had never felt so much guilty and ashamed. He was used to staking his life for every mission, but did he have the right to play with her life. He strode to Sakshi's body lying unconsciously in Shree's arms.
Shree had picked her up and was going to put her in their SUV, when Arjun came towards her.
"Give her to me," Arjun said and took Sakshi out of Shree's arms. He carried her to his SUV, which had been repaired and delivered earlier by a mechanic in the village.
After having put her in the seat, and buckling the seat belt, he returned back to have a talk with Shree and Aisha.
"I'll take Sakshi to a doctor, while you people can deal with the remaining case here," he said and went away leaving the team perplexed by such his action.
So he had driven away worried for Sakshi, and had waited patiently for her to get up. But to his bad luck, Sakshi did wake up, but she preferred to ignore him. This unfortunately made him even angrier. "It's a waste to pretend! I know you are awake!"
He waited till finally Sakshi turned to watch at him. Arjun decided to clear things out with Sakshi, and stopped the SUV once he could find a space. He switched the engine and turned towards her.
"Sakshi suno," he began, without knowing how to undo the damage. This was the second time he had used her. The first time she had been shot at, and as revenge she had lied that she had been hurt everywhere including her feet. But that didnt stop the guilt he had felt that time. But today again he had used her, the only difference last time she knew about it, but this time she was completely unaware of it.
"It's okay," she said to the window. "I never had any illusions about how you feel about me!"
His teeth ground together. Why should it be so painful to hear her say that? She was hardly the innocent victim every time.
"He never was going to even touch you Sakshi," Arjun said abruptly.
"Yeah right?!" Sakshi said icily.
"Do you actually think I'd let him kill you?" he demanded furiously. "What sort of man do you think I am?"
Sakshi stared in his eyes and said, "I have no idea, you're a stranger. You always have been!"
He searched back her eyes with irritation and impatience.
"That's why i always said you aren't fit for this work. You are nothing but a pain in the neck!" he said angrily without thinking.
"Thank you. I love compliments," Sakshi muttered back biting her lower lip to prevent tears from falling down her eyes again, "and i dont care!"
He punched the steering wheel in anger, when he saw her face. He raised his hand and cupped her face. The problem was that she cared. She was hiding real pain in her eyes. That led him to why she even cared. And when he saw that answer to that question, he wished he could have disappeared. She actually loved him. Though he had a doubt, till now he wasn't sure at all.
He felt his heart stop and then start again as the thought went through electricity. He didnt deserve her, and he didnt love her either. He still had to get Roshni's revenge. Roshni's name was enough to make him release her.
He leaned back on his seat, and closed his eyes, confused what to do. On one side he saw Roshni's face and on the other he saw the way Sakshi had responded to him earlier. Sakshi loved him despite everything, despite his past, despite the horrible way he had treated her.
He opened up his eyes just in time to see a lone tear falling on her cheek. That lone tear was enough to ignite him. He bent towards her, and hugged her fiercely. And like he had known, Sakshi started to cry in his arms. He raised his head and watched at the teary face. As if not being able to see something like this, he bent again and kissed her eyelids. His hands worked their way up into her hair and then down her back, as if trying to comfort her out of her pain.
"Sakshi i was there the whole time, you never were alone!" he said solemnly, "Please trust me!" he said near her eyes.
Sakshi immediately opened up her eyes, and searched his. She felt the complete honesty in him, but still "You have no idea what i felt when i thought i was gonna die, and all the thoughts which came to my mind."
His arms tightened around her. He couldn't imagine he'd been that callous, even briefly. It had been the logical thing to do, and he'd never let emotion get in the way of his work. But Sakshi wasn't like him. She had feelings that were easily bruised.
"I'm sorry," he bit off the words. He wondered if she knew how hard it was to say that.
But looking into his eyes, Sakshi knew how difficult it was for him. She didnt think twice before leaning into his chest and closed her eyes, savouring the feelings in his arms.
Realising what she had been doing, she pulled away from him. He didnt release her completely, and studied her face. As if mesmerised by everything which happened, he touched her pretty mouth with his fingertips.

She went under in a daze of throbbing pleasure. It was like the first time he'd held her and kissed her, but much more explosive. The long months she had been waiting made her bold, made her hungry. She slid her arms around his neck and opened her mouth under his. He groaned. A shudder went through him. He hesitated, but only for a split second. Then he gathered her up whole and dragged her over the console and into his lap, and the kisses grew harder and more insistent.

She felt his big hand on untouched skin. She gasped. He lifted his head and looked into her wide, shocked eyes, with affectionate amusement.
She felt his hand moving, and immediately put her hand on his to stall all movements.
"I'm not sure," she began breathlessly.
"Neither am I," he agreed as he bent again to her mouth.
Just as Sakshi was seeing stars, there was some noise of a vehicle somewhere in the jungle of pleasure she was exploring.
Arjun must have heard it, too, because he raised his head and frowned as he looked into the rearview mirror. "I don't believe it!" he burst out.
She followed his gaze and saw flashing lights coming at breakneck speed right on the road behind them.
"Oh god!" he muttered when he realised that it was the other ETF SUV. The SUV pulled up past them, and stopped, so that Arjun and Shree were facing each other through open drivers' windows. In the time it had taken them to reach, Sakshi had slid quickly discreetly back into her own seat, straightened her clothing and smoothed her hair. She was grateful that it was dark, so that no one would be able to see the lingering traces of what had just transpired.
"Is there any problem?" Shree asked looking at Arjun and Sakshi.
"Sakshi wasn't feeling well, she wanted to vomit," Arjun said the first thing which came to his mind. When he saw everyone starting to get down, Arjun stopped them by saying that she was now feeling ok. And told them, nope ordered them to continue their route.
Arjun glanced at Sakshi, and was at loss of what to say anymore. " I think we've talked enough for tonight!" and then without giving her any chance to say anything, he started the engine and sped back to Mumbai.
Soon they arrived at her place. Both remained seated for some time not knowing what to say. But when the silence was eating them too much, Sakshi decided to just get out. She opened the door, and then saw Arjun also getting out. She turned to ask him to let be, she'd be able to go to her flat without harm, but Arjun's glare stop her words. He walked her to her apartment.
Once they were standing next to her door, they again had a sudden burst of shyness. Sakshi took out her keys and twisted it in her hands.
"I'm sorry," Arjun said suddenly.
Sakshi felt he was apologising for what had happened between them. She felt like crying because he was actually asking sorry for one of the best moments of her life. So she nodded and turned to open up her door. She just wanted to run to her bed and cry her heart out.
Akdu kahin ka, why did she have to fall in love with someone like him. Just as she was getting in, he grabbed her by her arm, and turned her to face him. He cupped her face when he saw the tears.
He drew in an audible breath. "That won't help, I'm sure, but..." He bent and brushed his mouth gently over her lips. She stood on her tiptoes to increase the pressure, shivering a little when he accepted the silent invitation and gathered her in close, so that they were riveted together.
She'd never known such pleasure. It felt as sweet as it had in the SUV, but much more intense. Her nails dug into the hard muscles of his shoulders as she gave in to the sheer delight of being close to him.
When she moaned, he drew back. His hands were briefly cruel as he fought the need to back her into the wall and devour her. He had to force himself to let her go.
She saw that, and was fascinated by the sudden change in him.

He searched her wide eyes. "Times change. So do people!" and then walked away after telling her to lock her door. But just before he disappeared round the corner, he turned back and looked at her and waited.
Finally she realized that he wasn't going until she was inside. She smiled at that protectiveness, which was so new to their relationship. She waved, went inside and closed the door. She then rushed to the window to see him going away.
She watched his SUV going away, and realised nothing had really changed. He hadn't said anything, and she hadn't even asked anything. She was just worrying about this, when she received a message on her phone.
It was from Arjun saying, "We'll take each step as it comes... Dont worry too much, you dont look beautiful at all when you frown..."
She smiled after reading it, and then her stomach started to make noise, reminding her she hadn't eaten anything since morning.
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
