Next day...
our sweet cum weird couple entered in ETF office, and got the shock of their life.
they entered to see DIG along with some other newbie officer pacing up and down in discussion room, other members of ETF are in shock, Sameer trying to tell him something. Ariya entered the room and all eyes fell onto them.
"officers." started DIG through gritted teeth, "arrest him." he pointed toward Arjun.
everyone gasped and stood up from their seats. Arjun was staring at him disbelieve, and Riya merely frowned.
"arrest? why?" she asked sharply.
"because he is the one who sold our agents information to terrorists. he is the backstabber." DIG shouted.
"thats impossible." started Sam, "he can never do this thing. also Riya was in the mission, he can never do this."
"thats why she survived, "argued back DIG, ''or else how come she is the only one survived? we have enough proof, you wanna see?"
DIG burst out of the room while others followed. first he went inside Sam's cabin, searched his table and picked out a small bug under his table.
"see this? this is a poweful bug. it helps you hear any conversation from 100 metres radius. whats this doing in your room Rathore? who kept it? of course someone from your office, ie him." DIG pointed to Arjun again, who was speechless at the turn of events.
DIG left the room, and this time entered Arjun's cabin. he searched the whole room, throwing the files on floor, searching every corner plenty of times.
"i want to check your phone Rawte." he ordered. arjun handed over his phone, DIG turned it upside down, opened the battery case and found a bug in it, similar to sam's.
"see? there is the transmitter. whats this doing in his phone? anyone have any answer?" DIG barked while glaring venomously at arjun.
"sir, there had been a big misunderstanding, " arjun tried to keep his voice calm, "i cant do this. someone had framed me. please believe me."
"i cant overlook evidences, Rawte." DIG sighed and said in a low voice, "i am arresting you. officers take him."
the officers with him charged toward him, and the whole ETF looked in disbelieve as ACP Arjun Rawte was being arrested on the charge of backstabbing with country! Arjun didnt say anymore, others tried to reason with DIG on behalf of him. his eyes just stared at Riya, who was both stunned and quiet at this turn of events. he was not getting if she believed all this accusations or not.
the officers and DIG left taking arjun with them, and everyone slumped on chairs, defeated and exhausted. they were blank at what happened, and had no idea what to do next.
Riya continued to frown and think logically what happened after they entered. this is not the question if Arjun did it or not, the question was who framed him and how. she suddenly remembered something.
"shree." she called out to shree who shot his head up, "i want to see ETF's cctv footage."
2 hours later.
all were surprised, but nobody protested her, just followed what she is doing. they all saw the cctv footage, precisely from 2 days earlier when the news of all agents dead come out. they had no idea what they were searching, and just stared at the screen blankly.
"godammit." exclaimed Riya and banged her fist on table, "nothing."
"what you are searching?" asked Aisha.
"i am searching if anyone entered sameer sir's cabin to fit that bug. none, except ETF team, no outsider." she said irritatedly. others sighed and looked at each other, unable to do anything.
there was sound of news coming from the large LCD screen fitted behind them. the news was flashing ACP arjun rawte, the 2nd in command and best student of his batch caught guilty of selling valuable informations to terrorists, also accused of the death of 11 agents. he was going to held in Thane jail till next day, till the police force is taking him to court.
Riya turned from the tv and closed her eyes, at last fresh tears coming out of her eyes. she vowed to strangle the person with her own hand who did it to him. this is a very big conspiracy, no doubt, but she had to crack it and prove him guilty.
next day, 9 am, ETF office.
Riya was in Arjun's cabin, sitting among the mess on his chair, spinning around on it in deep thoughts. she didnt sleep all night, was watching the cctv footage over and over for any clue, but every time she only face defeat. It was now morning, she didnt ever realise, but continued to be in her own world. She was determined to find a way out to prove his innocence, but how, she is yet to find that out.
"riya?" shree entered the cabin and called her out. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him.
"tu ghar nahi gayi puri raat?" he asked while coming toward her, eyeing her worriedly. She shook her head in a no.
"nahi yaar, acha nahi lag raha." She answered truthfully, "dono ek saath ghar jane ki aadat si ho gayi hain. Ab khali ghar acha nahi lagta."
He patted her shoulder to console her and she sighed, "whats the time?"
"its nearly 9. 1 hour mein court jana hain, yaad hain na? Sir ki peshi hain aaj." He said. She nodded and got up, freshen up little.
Some 30 minutes later everyone gathered in office and about to leave, when Sam's phone rang. He picked up the call and his eyes widen in shock like saucer, face both tensed and panicky.
"chotu, Tv on karo." He ordered and chotu did the same, looking confused. They all stared at the screen and color drained out Riya's face.
Arjun had run away from police van on the way to court, shooting 2 guards in the process. They both had died, and now DIG had spread a shoot at sight order for him. Now ACP Rawte is officially declared a Gaddar, a national threat.
All looked at each other in shock, the last 24 hours had been a roller costar ride. They were staring at each other and thinking what to do when...
"bloody bas***d." Came from Riya, her voice low and deadly.
"who?" asked Sam.
"that DIG. Just wait." With that she ran toward arjun's cabin. After some 10 minutes she came out a cd of particular cctv footage. She played it on shree's lappy and all eyes were on the screen.
It was the day when arjun entered office with riya and all came to know she survived in the mission. It was arjun in the screen, coming out from his cabin, when he collided with a person. The phone slipped from arjun's hand, and the files from the other person's hand scattered on floor. They both helped each other and then they both walked away to different directions.
"shree, zoom." Riya ordered and he did the same. Now that they closely watched, it was actually the guy did something to arjun's phone. He put something on his phone and hand it over quickly to him.
"you see? I bet thats the bug dig found." Explained Riya.
"how can you say its all DIG sir's plan? Who is this guy?" asked Aisha.
"this guy is DIG sir's PA, Mehta." Came from Sam. He was angry like bull, ready to tear apart anyone. "i cant believe its him." He said, his voice filled with hatred, "such a big conspiracy? I wont spare him."
"i will kill the guy." Riya let out a deadly whisper and with that she ran like hell toward the door. All called out for her, but no use.
"shit, did she go to DIG sir's office?" said Shree tensed.
"Let me stop her." Sam took out his phone and called in DIG sir's office, and came to know he didnt come office today, he had taken a leave.
"dont worry, soon you will be on leave forever." He muttered to himself and then called DIG sir's bunglow, telling them if anyone come from ETF office dont let them enter. Then the team headed for IG sir's house with full evidence on hand.
On the other hand, Arjun found himself hanging from a ceiling in a dark room, his hand mouth and legs tied painfully. He felt his head heavy and then remembered how he ended up here, he was going with other constables to court, when suddenly the van banged with a tree, and some one threw a gas inside. He went unconscious, when he heard 2 gun shots nearby. After that he cant remember anything.
So someone must have planned it all, and that person kidnapped him from the van. But the question is why and who. He was thinking all this when he heard someone is coming.
"he is still unconscious." Said first voice.
"lets open his hand and take him down." Said other voice. They both agreed and loosened his hand and leg. Now that was the biggest mistake ever, as Arjun manhandled both of them, and in some quick seconds and very good action they both were dead lying on the concrete floor. Arjun took out their guns and phone, and called Sam.
"hello?" came hurried and worried Sam's voice.
"sam? Its me." He answered.
"arjun? Oh my god are you fine?. Where are you?"
"i am ok. I dont know where am i."
"shree is tracking your call, just some seconds. Oh thank god you are ok, we are all so worried."
"is Riya fine?" asked arjun worriedly. Sam stopped breathing momentarily.
"sam, whats wrong?" asked he urgently.
"arjun, its the DIG behind all this. He framed you into this. She find out and went all by herself to catch him."
"shit. Sam stop her. Where is she?" arjun was instantly panicked. DIG is very dangerous. He planned it all too cunningly, what if he do something bad to her?
"i dont know. She went to his house, and then nobody knows where is DIG or she. we cant track their calls too." Sam answered worriedly.
"goddammit this girl" arjun cursed and looked around madly, hoping for a way to find out where is she. he made a silent promise to himself if there is a single scratch on her body he will personally rip out each limb of that filthy DIG.
"sam, i think DIG had gone into hiding. Find out if there is any house of him on the outskirts of city." Arjun suddenly had an idea and he shared. He was right as always, there was a farm house of DIG, and they both agreed maybe he had took Riya there. Shree accessed Arjun's location and team sent a SUV to him, and whole team headed for DIG's farm house.

Riya glared to DIG while he was tying her ropes. He had dragged her all the way to here so that he can kill her peacefully and bury her here. He knew he was finished, ETF know about his deeds and soon they will be here, he is now no use of any terrorist as he wont be DIG of mumbai anymore. He is gone from both sides, now he had totally lost his mind and decided to take revenge by killing her. She was the one who survived, if she didnt survive maybe he didnt have to see all this. She had to die, it is the least he can do.
"now get ready to die." He took out his gun and pointed it to her.
"die my foot. You will die asshole." She cursed and spat on him. He held her by her hair tightly, causing her to yell in pain.
"why you had to survive and come back from london, huh? You messed up everything. Now die bitch." He said venomously and freed her, while she shoot daggers to him.
"you are such a disgusting animal. You sold yourself to terrorist, you sold so valuable infos to them, its because of you those agents died, and you framed a innocent brave police officer to save your ass. Shame on you." She yelled.
"yes i did it all. You know why? Because i was getting good price of it. I would have continued if you had not come in my way. Kiss manhoos ghari mein i selected you for london mission i dont know. Now i will rectify my mistake."
The bas***d DIG pointed his gun, looked into her eyes, while she stared back, not a little bit afraid of death. They both were anticipating the next move when...
Bang.
The door kick shut, and entered our hero Arjun.
"hello handsome. Good to see you." Riya greeted him in oh so normal tone, like they are in home and he is late.
"oh i was stuck in traffic." He also answered normally, and glared to DIG.
"is picnic going on here? I am going to kill her for gods sake." Exclaimed DIG in shock seeing their conversation.
"kill? Dream on.'' Said another voice.
The DIG turned and saw the whole ETF team entering and pointed their guns to him. He was trapped, literally.
"dont come or i will shoot her." He threatened.
"oh no he wont. Guys shoot." Riya said normally, "he dont have any courage."
"shut up." DIG turned and about to slap her, when Aisha shot his hand, causing the gun fell on floor. All ran toward him and hold him tight, and Arjun Sameer went to riya, helping her to open ropes. They all came near DIG, and Arjun slapped him hard across face.
"this is for hurting her." He explained. DIG got another slap from Riya too.
"this is for trying to frame him. Moron."
The ETF team took him and all started to walk outside. The sun was slowly setting down. Our beautiful couple stopped to see it.
"ye lamha kitna khoobsoorat hain na." Said Riya.
"yeah, after 48 hours of abnormality it feels perfectly fine." He answered and pecked her hair softly.
"so whats the next plan?" asked he.
"umm...first shower, then a extra cheese pizza, then..." she stopped, and looked at him innocently.
"then?" he asked hopefully (hope of ehm ehm)
"then...sleep." she answered and laughed while he grinned sheepishly. They both hugged each other and saw together the sun setting down behind the hills.
All worries are gone, now every lamha was theirs.
ok here is the end. i know this whole SS doesnot make any sense, and now this ending, but really i had planned it like this so😳 please bear. after all this is not the first time i had written something weird, is it?😆
