With that he reversed his car and decided to do what he should have done probably years back. It was time to mend some relationships and let this bitterness go out of their lives forever.

Chapter 4

He reached the ETF headquarter within span of hardly 20 minutes but these 20 minutes were like 20 years for him. He parked his car and dashed inside the office. There was no one in the office. He ran to Arjun's cabin but Arjun was not there. He knew Arjun was in the office because he saw the ETF SUV that Arjun uses still in the parking lot. He decided to wait in his cabin. He stood by the window looking outside at the sky. He was trying to figure out ways how to approach Arjun. What will he say to him? How will he apologize? Will he forgive him? He was trying to find answers to all these questions when he heard the door of Arjun's cabin open. He knew Arjun was here.

Arjun had went to kitchen to cut his cup of cutting chai and as soon he entered the cabin he was surprised to see Rathod standing in his cabin. Did not he leave before? He himself was going to offer lift to Sakshi but he saw her getting in car with Sameer and Ayesha and thought he left and everybody else was gone. Maybe there is some emergency, Arjun thought to himself.

Arjun: Rathod kuch emergency thi toh call kar dete. Is everybody coming back?

Sameer: Nahin koi emergency nahin hai

Arjun: Phir?

He did not get any response this time from Sameer

Arjun again: Kuch baat karni hai Sameer?

Still he did not get any response.

He himself has realized by now why Sameer was here.

Arjun again: Sam kuch kehna chahte hai ho kya?

This time he did get a response

Sameer: Hmmm

Arjun: Bolo nah Sam kya baat hai and with this he kept his cutting chai cup on the table and walked to where Sameer was standing. He kept his hand on his shoulder and what he saw when Sameer turned was heart wrenching. There stood his best friend with his tears in his eyes and also his eyes lowered by his guilt. This was very hard for him to see. It was so tolerable to see the anger and hurt in his friends's eyes for him but this was not acceptable at al. He never felt bad for his friend's words. He knew Sameer's love and affection for Roshini and he knew how he was deeply hurt with Roshini's death.

Arjun spoke again: Sam yeh kya?

This time Sameer bent on his kness with his hands folded and said:

Sameer: Mujhe kehne do Arjun. Plz bol lene do. Mujhe maaf kar do. I was supposed to be your best friend, not only you but with Roshini too. Lekin phir be they way I behaved with you were not acceptable at al. Ek dosti ka vaada mein tumhse kiya tha aur ek Roshini ke saath. Mein dono hi nahin sambhal paya. Mujhe tumhe uss mod par akela nahin chodna chahiye tha. Mujhe tum par vishwaas kar lena chahiye tha. Mujhe maaf kar de mere dost. Mein jaanta hoon ki mein maafi ke kabil nahin hoon par fir bhi Arjun plz mujhe maaf kar de.

Arjun had tears in his eyes too. He made Sameer stand on his feet.

Arjun: Sam maafi ke kabil meh toh meh nahin hoon. Mein hi koi rishta sambhal nahin paya. Nah hi dosti ka, pyaar ka aur nah farz ka. Tumne mujhe kitna samajhane ki koshish ki thi ki mujhe soch samajh kar kaam lena chahiye aur impulsive decisions nahin lena chahiye. Kass mein tumhare kehne par roshini ko kisi safe jagah bej deta toh aaj tumhari dost aur mera pyaar humhare beech hota. Woh humse itni door nahin jaana padta aur woh bhi is tarah. Itni dardnaak teerke se. Kya tum mujhe maaf kar sakte hai ho Sam?

Sameer: haan Arjun meh samaj gaya hoon ki hum dono mil kar Roshini ki maut ka badla lena hai. Jab tak Arjun aur Sameer milenge nahin, tab tak kuch bhi ho nahin paaye ga. Come on Arjun its time to nail that bast*** Sikander aur usse har woh zakham ka badla lete hain joh usne hume diye hai. With that he extended his hand.

Arjun was completely overwhelmed after listening to Sameer. He could have never imagined in million years that Sam would ever forgive him. He took his hand and finally both of them hugged.

Sameer: chal ghar chalte hain..

Arjun: nahin mein yahin rukta hoon.

Sameer: chal saale'chal

With that Sameer dragged him and took him to his house.

He told him to freshen up and he will serve the dinner

Arjun: tu kab se khanna banane laga'tu mujhe murder karne ke liya laya hai..tere haath ka khanna kisi murder se kam nahin hai

Sameer: jaanta hoon'

With that both of them laughed. Both of them were very happy to see each other smile.

Sameer: yaar tu tension mat le'Woh ek servant laka hai, woh hi khanna bana kar rakkar jaata hai..

Arjun: Phir teek hai

With that both shared a meal together and Sameer asked him to stay with him from now onwards and he will stay in the other bedroom and he should bring his luggage here. First Arjun objected to it but later he had to give in.

Both of them retired to their respective rooms.

Sameer POV:

He picked up a photo lying in his room, it was photo of him and Roshini during college days'.Dekho Roshini meine teek kiya nah? Aaj aise lagta hai jaise dil se bahut bada boj utar gaya. Mein ab se tumhare Arjun ka poora kayal rakunga aur uski zindagi mein phir se khushiyaan lane ki koshish karoonga aur mein jaanta hoon yeh kaun kar sakta hai..Tum bas apna saath aise hi humhare saath banaye rakna'dekhna hum dono mil kar sab teek kar denge'.Good night Roshini..

Then suddenly his phone vibrated and it was message..it was from Ayesha

Ayesha: aap teek toh hai nah Sir..

(Ayesha was very double minded whether to ask him or not but the way he had left, she was getting very worried and wanted to just confirm whether he was alright)

Sameer: A smile came on his face after reading Ayesha's message. He had realized by now that he had feelings for Ayesha. It had initially started with respect and he was total aww of her personality. The way Ayesha had reached to ETF and what a strong lady but the jewellery store incident had changed everything. He does not know why but he could not take eyes off of her. She had stirred another feelings in him and it had taken not lot of time for him to realize that this feeling is none other than of love.

Sameer replied back to Ayesha: I m fine Ayesha..Thanks for asking aur aaj ke baad sab teek ho jaaye ga.

Not long after reply came from Ayesha

Ayesha: I m so happy for you Sir. I am glad you took this step.

Sameer: Thanks for being there' Good Night

Ayesha: Good night

Ayesha's POV

Arjun's POV

Arjun was holding his wallet and was looking at the picture inside his wallet. The picture was none other than Roshini's

Roshini I feel very good today. Your friend had finally forgiven me. It was very hard to see him broken like that Roshini. I never felt bad from his words. I know what you meant to him and what is like losing a best friend and companion like you. I never thought he would forgive me in this life time but this has happen. Looks like I will go to grave with lot less regrets and guilt''

Next day in ETF headquarters.

Arjun was about to enter Sameer's cabin when he realized he was talking to Sakshi. So he decided to wait outside and go as soon as he was done talking to Sakshi

Sakshi: tumhne mujhe bulaya Sameer' Kuch kaam tha

Sameer: Haan mujhe tumse kuch kehna tha'.I wanted to say thank you

Sakshi: Kis liye Sameer

Sameer: Jaan kar bhi anjaan kyun ban rahi hoon Sakshi..Tum iss thanks ki poori haqdaar ho'Agar nahin kahunga toh who cheating ho gi..

Sakshi: Tumhe mujhe thanks karne ki koi zuraat nahin hai..Meine woh hi kahan jo mere dil neh kaha and I am glad you did listen to me and decided to do the right'

Now Arjun was getting really curious, why was Sam thanking Sakshi'for what'.So he decided to listen more carefully'

Sameer: Sakshi jaise tumhne apne dil ki baat kahin..Jaise tumhne mujhe yeh sach se rubaru karaya ki meh Arjun ke saath kitna galat kar raha aur usse meri (apne dost ) ki zuraat hai; waise hi tum mujhe apne dil ki pareshaani bhi bata sakti hoon'Mein jaanta hoon ki tum bhi takleef mein ho..Agar chaho toh mere saath apni problem share kar sakti ho'

But he did not get any response from Sakshi

Sameer: Mein janta hoon Sakshi ki tumhare liye kisi ajnabi se kehna kitna muskhil hai but you take your time. Whenever u think you want to share with me and infact with ETF team and make us part of your problems, come to us..it can be anytime, any day..We will wait for you..

Sakshi: aisi baat nahin hai Sameer..tum mere liye ajnabi nahin ho..infact whole ETF bhi nahin hai..Tum log hi toh jinne mein family keh sakti hoon'But I need some time'I hope you understand'

Sameer: mein samaj sakta hoon Sakshi'U take ur time'

Sakshi: mein chalti hoon'Ek aur baat kahun

Sameer: Haan

Sakshi: jaise apne Arjun ko apne Dil ki baat kahin waise usse bhi keh dijiye'

Sameer: with little shocked and embarrassed: tum kya keh rahi ho Sakshi

Sakshi: Jaan kar bhi anjaan kyun ban rahe ho Sameer'kismat waalo ko sacha pyaar milta hai aur use jaane nahin dena chahiye'.Ayesha ko keh do before its too late'.

Sameer: ek baat poocho Sakshi'Kyun kar rahi ho tum yeh sab Arjun ke liye'.

Sakshi: ummm''pata nahin Sameer'.. bye

Sameer (in his mind): shayad mein janta hoon Sakshi aur mein janta hoon bahut jald tum aur Arjun dono iss baat ko samaj jao ge'.

On the other side Arjun was extremely shocked to learn that it was Sakshi who had explained Sameer and made him realize and also small smile comes on his face thinking how Sakshi asked Sam to confess to Ayesha'He was not stranger to his friends feelings'but still he cannot believe its same Sakshi'He had really judged her so wrong'

With that he decided to walk towards conference hall'

He saw her sitting with Shree and Chotu and was laughing on something'He looks so beautiful while laughing but there was some anjaan si sadness in her eyes but still she cares so much about others'This girl is really something'.

Then he saw Shree and Chotu leaving conference hall and she back to doing some work on her laptop'

On one side of glass wall Arjun is standing and he is walking like this looking at Sakshi

Sakshi is sitting inside of conference hall'.

Sakshi felt someone gaze on her and she looked in the direction and it was none other than Arjun '..

Sakshi got up from her seat and started walking towards Arjun with her eyes locked with Arjun's

It was like both of them in some trance'They felt like no one else exists in this world except them and finally after a while both of them were standing face to face with each other except there was glass wall between them..

They stood there looking at each other'(imagine standing there till the song ends)

Suddenly Arjun's phone started ringing and then both came back to reality..Then both of them realized what they were doing'

They both turned around and started walking in the opposite direction'Arjun turned first to glance a look at Sakshi but her back was towards him and then Sakshi turned and saw Arjun but she only saw him walking away'.

Sakshi POV;

Did I see something else in Arjun's eyes today..why was I walking like that towards him'I felt like time has stopped and its only him and myself that exists'uss lamhe mein kuch toh tha'Sakshi control ur self..There is no time for all this like now..i know this is not the right time'but I don't know why it felt so good and right'

"Someday, we'll run into each other again, I know it.
Maybe I'll be older and smarter and just plain better. If that happens,
that's when I'll deserve you. But now, at this moment, you can't hook
your boat to mine, because I'm liable to sink us both."
