A SUV abruptly stopped in the middle of the road.
He immediately came out to check if there was any damage done. He sat on his knees, gently moving the hairs from her face.
"aap theek ho beta? Chot to nahin lagi na"
A small, cute girl, with shoulder length silky straight hair,big, round hazel eyes, dressed in a sunny yellow frock lifted her face and Arjun sat mesmerized by the innocence she reflected
"thoda thoda" again tears streamed down her face.
Arjun lifted her from the ground and made her sit on the car bonnet.
He lifted her palm and saw them bruised and also her knees were bleeding.
It pained him to see her like that.
"aap ke saath koi aur hai kya beta?"
"bhaiyya the mere saath. Magar wo kho gaye" she said innocently between her sobs.
"naam kya hai aapka" Arjun asked wiping her tears and slowly removing small mud particled from her palm and knees.
"bhaiyya ne kaha hai, ki anjaan logon se baat nahin karte"
"but main to dost hu na??"
"aap mere dost ho???"
"haan..."he smiled at her, "chalo.ab apna naam batao"
"Aadya... bhaiyya mujhe aadu bulate hai"
Arjun brought out first aid box and started cleaning her wounds.
"aapko ghar ka raasta pata hai?"
"bhaiyya ko pata hai."
He smiled at her words but frowned when she cried in pain.
"dard ho raha hai?"
"haan..."
Arjun immediately took a pic of the girl and sent it to Shree to put in media so that they can trace her parents.
He called sameer whilst cleaning the wound when saw a wound deep.
"hello Rathod. Haa... nahin..matlab kya tum dr.bhargav ke clinic aa sakte ho??... main theek hun. Tum jaldi aajao..bye"
He then made aadya to sit next to him and locked the seat belt.
He started driving towards clinic.
Soon Rathod also reached the clinic and doc examined the wound and dressed it.
They then took her to ETF hq and Arjun had her in his arms, Rathod next to him.

It would be an understatement that entire team was stunned to see arrogant sarfira raute entering with a kid.
Arjun directly went to conference room and made aadu to sit.
He sat infront of her with Rathod to extract information about her.
"beta, aapko dard ho raha hai??"
"uncle thoda sa...idhar"she pointed towards her knee.
Rathod: aapka naam beta?
Aadya:aadya
Rathod: aap school jaati hai?
Aadya: nahin uncle. abhi 2 days pehle aaye hai na yahan, to school kaise jaaungi?
Rathod was bit tensed now.it was almost an hour Shree had circulated the pic but Till now no one had claimed her nor missing complain reported
Aadya: uncle aapka naam kya hai?
Rathod(smiled and patted her cheeks): sameer
Aadya: aur wo uncle ka?
Pointing at Arjun who eyes now stared at nothing in particular, as if was just lost in reverse flow of time
Rathod: wo... unka naam Arjun hai
Meanwhile, when Rathod was talking to baby girl, Arjun had some flashback with roshni

'bacchon ne itni mehnat karke art exhibition organize kiya hai Arjun...aur main to unki teacher hu na? mujhe to jaana hi hai' she lovingly patted his cheeks
'phir bhi mat jao na'
'arjun...'
'accha baba...biwiji, zara ye batayiye ki aapko bacchon se itna lagaav kyun hahi?'
'arjun...bacche bohut hi masoom hote hai. Unme jhoot aur fareb nahin hota..they give us unconditional love in return. mann ke sacche hote hai wo... aapko bhi to bacche acche lagte hai'
'wo to hai... magar biwiji, mera kuch aur hi plans hai...'
'kya?'
'suna nahin?? Hum do...humaare do??!!!!' he raised an eyebrow and flashed a naughty smile at her
She blushed and lowered her gaze
'wo waqt bhi jaldi aajayega Arjun. Lekin ab mujhe bacchon ke paas jaana hai...bye'
She kissed his cheeks and ran out
'Roshni...'

He jerked out of his memories with a slight nudge from aadya.
"Arjun uncle, mujhe bhookh lagi hai..."
Rathod: kya khaogi tum?
Aadya: poha...
Arjun smiled at her request and said-"arre ye to mera bhi favorite hai...par yahan nahin milta..."
"yahan nahin milta?"
"uhun" Arjun pouted and nodded his head in negative
Rathod and entire team watched him interacting with the girl.
Rathod was quiet happy to see the glimpse of old Arjun he once knew, even though it was for short time
Rathod:sandwich!!! Sandwich khaogi? Tumhare ye Arjun uncle tasty tasty sandwich banate hai...
He said controlling his laugh
Arjun: Rathod..
Rathod: kya?? Aadya, tumhe canteen ka khana hai ya Arjun uncle ke haathon se bana hua??
Aadya: Arjun uncle ke haath ka bana hua.. waise bhi mumma hamesha kehti hai ki baahar ka khana nahin khana chahiye.
She jumped down from table only to wince in pain and cried out..
Arjun was down on his knees instantly and pulled her to him gently, patting her back
"shh...zyada lagi to nahin na??"
She clung to him and cried...
"mujhe mamma ke paas jaana hai..."
"hum haina... humne aapki mamma ko bulaya hai... jaise hi wo aayengi, aap jaaogi thik hai?" he gently pecked her forehead.
She rested her head on his shoulder and said again
"mujhe bhook lagi hai"
"thik hai. Chalo. Canteen chalte hai...rathod."
Rathod also made his way with Arjun towards canteen, on the way asking Shree for his spare tab.
Everyone tin the canteen jumped from their places seeing Arjun asking for apron.
He made aadya sit on slab with Rathod and Rathod became busy in keeping the little girl busy.
Soon Arjun started making sandwich not having a heart to see her cry again.
He asked Rathod to take her back as he would bring them sandwiches.
Aadya was sitting with Shree and playing or rather watch him play.
Rathod was busy barking orders on phone and the rest of the team watching cute faces made by aadya.
But they were soon distracted by delicious aroma of sandwiches and coffee. They turned around and saw Arjun coming towards them with two trays. Chotu went and helped him.
Arjun took a glass of milk and a mild sandwich to aadya and gave her
"have this aadya... sandwich you asked for and milk"
"milk yuk."she pushed his hand away
"aap milk nahin peeyoge to theek kaise hogi?"
"hmm... par first main sandwich khaungi"
"oki"
She struggled to have sandwich but her bruises did not help better. she expectantly looked at Arjun who sighed and picked her up and settled on chair. He made her sit on his lap and himself fed her.
The entire team was surprised to see this gentle, loving and caring Arjun who prepared sandwiches for a kid.
She played with everyone and asked all nonsense questions to Arjun and sameer. actually it was mood lightening thing for all.
Aadya was finally tired, and simply went and climbed arjun's lap. She had grown instant liking towards him and so had he. He took care that she did not hurt her wounds and made her sit comfortably on his lap. She soon dozed off, with her head on his shoulder and in one hand holding his shirt collar. He patted her till she was asleep and then gently laid her on couch.
He moved the hairs which came on her face and dropped a kiss on her forehead.
"rawte.. aadya ke parents'
Arjun immediately went out and did double take on the proofs they provided. When the team, esp., Arjun was satisfied, he spoke
"how can you people be so careless??? Its been 5 hours she is with us. we were even there where i found her for more than 10 min but no one came. What took you 5 long hours to respond when within half n hour we had put it in media...shukr manaiye ki wo hume milgayi. Kahin kisi bure logon ke haath lag jaati to? Kabhi socha hai kya hosakta tha uske saath???"
He ran his fingers in his hair trying to control his anger.
"we are extremely sorry. Wo aaj mera beta aadya ko leke locality check karne gaya tha. Main kaam ki wajah se baahar thi. Bich main na jaane madhur ke haath se aadya chut gaya aur...mujhe fir iska phone aaya par traffic ki wajah se jaldi pahunch nahin paayi" tears rolled from her eyes.
"aage aisa kabhi mat hone dijiye... betiyan bohut hi anmol hoti hai..." Arjun said and smiled and saw sleeping form of aadya.
"agar aapko bura na lage to ek baat poochu?"-arjun
"ji"
"if you don't mind, kya mein kabhi usse milne aa sakta hun??? In 5 hours mein she made a special place in my heart"
"sure sir and thank you for taking care of aadya"
Arjun went in and brought out aadya. She stirred in sleep and saw her mamma.
"mamma"
"chalo aadya... aapki mamma bhi aagayi... take care, and bhaiyya ko khone mat dena thik hai...?" he smiled at her
He pecked her forehead. In return she kissed his cheeks and said a cute bye and went to her mother. Thay thanked them once again and left ETF. Aadya waved him from door and in response he smiled and waved back...
