I watched the episode again and actually Shree said that Seema had joined the company three years before as a receptionist and became a partner within one year.

Prithvi said his sister died two years before, so that is not a blooper.

Raja started having an affair with Seema as soon as she joined the company and one year later his wife comitted suicide. The time line here is right.
