Arjun was on his case this holi... he had to uncover a secret gang who used to kidnap kids during festive seasons. He reached the suspected place. It was a huge factory which was abandoned.
He made his sleek entry into the factory without coming into the view of any1. He was armed. He went in and hid himself behind a big heap of cartons. He was listening to the conversation of the head kidnappers.
He was trying to figure out what they were saying when suddenly. He was caught. A man with long black beard stared at him. He had pointed a gun at arjun. Arjun tried to fight, but in vain. Soon the whole gang got there and captured him.
Gang leader- saale tu bhi uss chidiya ke saath mila hua hai na?
Arjun was confused. Whom was the gang leader talkinging about?
Gang leader(yelling)- ise bhi daal do apni Jodi-daar ke saath.
Arjun was dragged to a dungeon. It was dark there. His hands were tied and he was thrown against a heap of sacks. The followers of the gang remained there for a while and then went away, locking the room.
Arjun tried to get himself free. But he was not alone. He heard a sweet voice, which was soft and pleasing to the ears. But the voice sounded troubled. Arjun tried to look around. It was so dark that he couldn't see anything. But the he felt something. someone's soft hands on his arms.
"suniye. Meri help kariye.. please.." the voice said.
Arjun realized that the girl was sitting next to him. One of her hands was free which was grabbing his arm and he couldn't see what was wrong with the other one. He took out a knife from his pocket and untied his hands. He took out a lighter. He lighted it and moved the flame to see a fine and beautiful face. She was sweet and sober. He kept looking at her trying to figure out who she was.
But then he did the more important thing, he moved the light to see that the other hand of the girl was tied to a heavy structure with handcuffs. He got up at once and broke the handcuff with an instrument he had with him. The girl stood up. Arjun didn't notice her now and browsed the room for possible outlet.
The girl followed him.
"aap kaun hain? Vaise thanks. Aapne vo handcuff kaise toda?"
Arjun didn't answer.
"aap mujhse baat kyu nahi karr rahe? Aap yaha kaise aaye? Kyu aaye? Karte kya hain?"
Arjun wasn't answering her at all. He continued his search. He searched everywhere to find a way out and the girl followed him.
"oh.!! Mai samjhi.. aap vo 'simply news' ke reporter hai na? mere news channel ka rival hai vo... Aap vahi se aaye hai na' mai toh pehle hi keh de rahi hoon...mai apne footage, aapke uss cheap channel ke liye nahe doongi samjhe aap?"
Her voice was louder this time. And arjun saw some1 move close to the main door. He reached the girl and pushed her against the wall. He kept his hand on her mouth to stop her from yelling.
But she kept on uttering something.
Arjun- chup raho! Hum pakde jayenge...
She was in no mood to listen. She tried to move arjun away but who can tackle the strong grip of our hero?
She soon gave up and relaxed. She signaled arjun to leave her and she will be quiet.
Girl- I am sorry... but aap yaha se nikalne kaise vaale hain?
Arjun- mai nahi... hum...
Girl- aap mujhe bhi bacha lenge? Aap toh mere rival news channel se hain na.
She asked innocently. Arjun wondered how childish she was. But yet, she was so brave to come to a place like that just for her channel.
Arjun- shhh...abhi yaha baitho kuch der me jab ye log darvaaze ke paas se chale jayenge tab hum khidki se bahar nikal jayenge. Ok?
Girl- ok..
They sat there for a while quietly.
Girl- aaj holi hai, happy holi...
Arjun felt irritated but he had no other choice.
Arjun- tum mujhe kyu wish karr rahi ho? Mai toh tumhaara rival hoon.
Girl- haan pata hai, but holi me toh dushman bhi gale mil jaate hain na!
Arjun- mai holi nahi khelta...
Girl- haan dikh raha hai, aap holi ke din white-white kapde pehen ke jo ghoom rahe hain!
Arjun recalled his last holi with roshni. He felt tears well up in his eyes. He promised himself never to wear any color on holi since for him, all colors were Roshni. But she was gone.his life was a white paper with no colors in it.his shirt symbolized that
Girl- kaha kho gaye?
Arjun quickly got up and held her arms. He broke the window and helped the girl to get out. He himself got out and ran as quickly as possible. But they were seen by the gang members. They tried to chase arjun and the girl.
Girl- abb kya kare?
Arjun- run!
Girl- what?????
Arjun grabbed her hand and ran as fast as he could. They finally reached far away from the place and now no more goons were following them. Arjun was panting and so was the girl.
Girl- huff.. Mai kabhi school ki race me bhi itna tez nahi bhaagi.
Arjun began to leave. He knew he had to inform the team about this and tell them to arrest the gang at the location because now he was sure that the gang was the same which they were looking for. He tried to hurry up. He had no idea where he was. He could only see people playing holi..
Girl- aap jaa rahe hain?
Arjun ignored her and moved on.
Girl- khadoos!!!
She turned back and walked, but suddenly she thought it was important to thank the man who saved her life, so she turned back and ran to him.
Girl- suniye.. ek minute.
Arjun turned back to listen to her and she ran towards him saying 'thankyou' but a woman got in between them carrying a large tray full of color and by mistake the girl spilled all the color on arjun. His shirt turned red..
The girl bit her lips at the mistake.
Girl- sorry!
Arjun was confused... He just crossed his brows and walked away.
