He remained flustered for a minute and then angrily turned around and handed her some papers.. When she refused to take it, he pulled her hand and thrust them into her palm...
She cried, hot tears streaming her face and opened the papers... Fear gripping her... Her worst fear came true...
Every girl dreams to get married to her prince charming and the worst day when she gets separated from her husband, especially who loved her, took care of her and was always there for her.. Suddenly he asks her to leave... They did have fights but they increased a lot in the past few months... Riya thought it was a bad phase in their life but they just increased and today was the last blow.. He gave her the divorce papers in her hand...
She stood rooted to the spot... Too shocked to react... Arjun banged his fist to the nearby wall.. She rushed beside him, he jerked her hand and asked her to leave... She went to their room... Slowly walking, she touched everything as if touching them for the last time.. She went near the dressing table and stood infront of it and looked up seeing her reflection... She touched the black beads in her neck and tried to pull it from her neck when her gaze fell on their wedding picture on the table... She left the mangalsutra dangling in her neck and picked it up.. She lovingly grazed her finger along his face.. A tear dropped on the photo right on his face and she jolted back to reality.. She saw the wedding band on her finger and it reminded her of his proposal...
He had proposed her in a wierd way, well it was wierd for her.. Rather he didn't propose her.. He just made her his.. That was the style of ACP Rawte.
She imagined her prince charming coming and proposing her amidst flowers and ballons.. Him getting down on his knee asking her hand... But nothing like that happened.. Yes, she was a police officer but she was a girl at heart and a true romantic at heart... But destiny had some other plans for her... She still remembered the day'.
The ETF team was investigating a case.. Rathore was very pissed with Arjun since he had made a "Samjhe ya samjhaun" dialogue and left from the office without any information about what he was gonna do... Riya smiled remembering that day..
Rathore decided it was better to start investigating themselves and forget about Arjun though in the corner of the heart he was worried for Arjun.. Soon they found some clues and reached the area where the criminals were hiding.. They were many of them but Rathore, Ayesha, Riya, Shree and Chotu managed to get them down.. Though they were injured here and there but it was alright.. They had finally managed to get them down and had recovered a lot of drugs from their hideout... Sameer was worried as why isnt Arjun present in the climax ...
"Uss hero to toh aadat hain end mein entry maarni ki.. Ab kaha hain... DAMMIT" He screamed loudly while the rest of the team chuckled to themselves as they knew Rathore cared about Arjun but didnt show it and now his frustration was clearly visible...
Before they could do anything they were surrounded by a gang who were hiding waiting for the perfect opportunity... They had asked for the drugs and had kept Riya and Ayesha at gunpoint... All their weapons were put down... Rathore, Shree and Chotu were tied in ropes...
Riya looked around expectantly waiting for her hero to come... By now she knew Arjun would be coming anytime and save all of them... Her superhero. .Yes she was irrevocably in love with her senior and boss - ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte... She knew their wasnt any chance with him.. She knew he had a soft corner for her but yet that couldnt be named as love.. He was rude with her, he tried to push her away from him but she being the stubborn that she was refused to budge.. She never left his side.. She daily ordered his cutting chai.. If he was angry or upset she would flash her dimples or crack a joke with Shree and Chotu or start her gossip with Ayesha.. Arjun never smiled at that but his features used to relax.. Even though he scolded her for the smallest of the mistakes, he passed nasty comments at her or spoke rudely to her - she would always be the chirpy, bubbly girl with a charming smile... It didnt matter if she had cried her eyes out last night, she would be the same flashing her dimples all around... She was smiling slightly when he made an entry.. The first thing he did was shoot down the person holding onto Rathore... The next thing he did was come near Riya while Rathod rushed towards Ayesha... They had to fight the goons there before the ladies were left free... Shree was also free while Chotu freed himself...
There were shooting each other when a bulltet passed thru Arjun's arm.. It was Riya who winced in pain when she saw that.. The next moment that person was dead... Riya had shot him while Arjun turned towards her but before he could even look at her she and Ayesha were busy beating some goons.. A knife was stabbed in Rathore's arm... It was bleeding heavily.. The person who pierced the sword in Rathore's arm turned towards Arjun...
Arjun saw unaware and only Riya saw what was happening. She rushed towards Arjun and before anyone could realise the knife pierced her abdomen..

Her body fell down and Arjun turned only to see Riya's body falling lifeless infront of him... He held her in his arms and his brain couldnt register what happened... It was the same way how Roshni had died.. Arjun growled and forgetting about his wound he ran like a madman towards the car.. He drove like a maniac and took her to the hospital...The rest of them followed, all of them worried for Riya... It was in the hospital when the doctor said that she didnt have much time... Arjun had broken down... Ayesha told him that Riya had got stabbed coz of him... He begged the doctors , cried infront of Rathore and then the thing he hadnt done since years.. He went to the idol and prayed for Riya... The next moment he felt something as if he got a message from God that was fine.. As he rushed towards her room something poked his arm and fresh blood oozed out.. Arjun went near her and her eyes were open but the lips had only one name - ARJUN... He did the thing that felt right.. He went to Riya and before Riya could close her eyes...
"Riya, ek min aankhein kholo... Please Riya mujhe chodke mat jaana... "
Riya didnt have the strength to look into his eyes..
"Riya, tum mujhe chod ke nahi jaa sakti... Tum aise nahi maanogi na... Dekho.."
And the next thing Riya felt was something on her forehead.. She looked to find Arjun looking at her intently...
"Mrs. Arjun Suryakant Rawte, aap ab mujhe chod ke nahi jaa sakti... Aap mujhse band gayi ho..."
She just gave a smile before closing her eyes...

Then from then she had a speedy recovery and Arjun was their every minute with her never leaving her side.. Rathore had to persuade him to go change every day, and sometimes her used to do that in the hospital itself... After that they had a proper marriage and Riya had shifted to Arjun's house...
After that it was as if all her dreams had come true... Arjun was the most loving husband... Riya couldnt ask for more.. But soon there started to be arguments in their life.. It was almost as if kisi ki nazar lag gayi. .Riya tried to ignore it as problems between husband and wife..
Arjun tried to object her going to field... She tried to think it was for her betterment.. But she didnt find any reason.. She wasnt even pregnant.. He still thought of her as incompetent to be on the field... But then she loved him too much that such stuff would affect her... He wasnt like that in the first 6 months of their wedding... But now all these things had started.. He used to be so depressed and Riya thought it was because of that there was tension between them... But what Riya could not decipher was what was the reason that troubled him because there was nothing in the ETF that was so serious... And today was the last blow... He had given her the divorce papers.. Riya knew he was hiding something..
Riya realised that it was the harsh reality.. She touched the bed sheet and sat on the bed... It was the same bed they had made love after their marriage... It was as well the same pillow that had witnessed her tears when he fought with her from the past few months.. She held the pillow close to her then gently placed it back.. She straightened the creases and then got up.. She opened the wardrobe and found her clothes arranged in the same manner.. Her matching saree and his matching suit.. Her matching jeans and shirt with his matching casuals... Everything perfectly arranged... She wanted to remove her sarees but she couldnt do so.. It was very painful to separate the dresses, and here she herself was being separated from her soul.. She tried not to break down there.. .She picked up a few of her dresses and then lifted some his night suits.. She loved wearing his clothes.. And now that he wouldnt be there with her she packed some of his clothes, his shirts, his kurtas and very few of her sarees... She didnt know where to go but Arjun had kept a flat on her name... She lifted her pleates of her saree and with a heavy heart packed her bag and left the room.. She turned around talking one last look at the room...

Hey Guyz, i know its not that good.. Just was listening to this song and an idea popped in my brain... I know i have to write Zindagi Gulzar Hain too but i lost all the data as my lappy crashed.. So ill write that after a while... Till then you can enjoy this...
