CHAPTER 38:
Dilnaz exploded right in front of their eyes. The ship was engulfed in flames. Smoke filled the air and fear too..
The team rushed closer to the burning ship. Many more people were rushing to the spot. All worried by the sudden explosion.
The commandos came to the spot. They surrounded the area and took on some major culprits in the area. Still the question lagged. Where is Arjun and Aisha?
Riya was in a state that she couldn't process anything. Arjun... he was there but where? Her heart was running out in search for him. But she couldn't get a hint of his location. It was disturbing her...
"SIR... Aisha..." Shree screamed in his top voice pointing at a shore closer to the burnt ship. The team saw a group of girls unconscious near to the edge of the dock. They rushed to her.
She was unconscious but had a protective hand over the girl close to her. There were 5 girls by her side. All terribly shaken by the incident and were also injured but not to great extent. Rathod rushed and turned her around making her face up to them.
She had a cut on her forehead. Shree and Chotu went to look at the girls, reviving them and were glad to know that they were almost ok.
Rathod sat on his knees and placed her face on his thighs. Riya was standing behind him, expecting to know Arjun's location.
Rathod: Aisha... get up... Aisha... Shree bring first aid. (Shree opened his shoulder bag and took out the cotton. Rathod placed it over her head.) Aisha...
She slowly opened her eyes. Someone was calling out for her, holding onto her shoulder. She recognized the voice. She opened her eyes. Her head was hurting like hell.
Rathod: Aisha.. thank God. You are ok. Can you hear me?
She nodded and tried to get up. He helped her to the sitting position. She tried to remember what happened. The panic... the run... Arjun Sir... girls... she suddenely remembered them and looked to her sides were girls were present.
Rathod was watching her closely and saw her sudden search for the girls. "they are fine Aisha... its ok.." she relaxed a bit.
"but Aisha... Arjun kaha hai?"
She was trying to understand the same answer. She saw Riya's face eagerly waiting for the answer. He is not here... that means... she looked at the burning ship...
Riya: please Aisha say some thing. Arjun kaha hai??
Aisha wished she had to never answer this question. But she couldn't avoid it now. She slowly lifted her hand and pointed at a direction. All looked at her finger tips. It was directed to the burning ship.
Some time back:
Arjun and Aisha were running through the ships searching for the girls. Though Aisha wished to go ahead alone he stopped her. "waise hi hamara team split hogaya hai. Not anymore." She was not happy with his adamant nature. But she didn't go for an argument. Little did she know the main reason for his nature. He had a promise to keep to his best friend, his brother. He couldn't allow her out of his sight.
Dilnaz was full of surprises. There were regions without anyone to hinder their movement. But they knew that it was a silence before the storm. They were ready for anything in each step.
Then all of a sudden came the men. But the duo was a surprise package for them too. They handled them well. Aisha took Arjun's side perfectly. It was a perfect Jodi. They moved ahead.
Arjun sensed something off. A smell that had always memories of the cruel man. Sarsonke tel. he stopped Aisha abruptly. She questioned with her eyebrows. He pulled her out of the locations and hid behind some barrels.
"Aisha, smell. Sarsonka tel."
"ha, tho?"
"Pathan usually have its barrel. I told you before. He used to transport girls in such barrels. I can smell it. The barrels are nearby."
"but sir, kya koi barrel mein girls ko export kar sakthe hai? Its absurd. The girls will die in the long journey."
"Aisha try to understand. They need to hide the girls only till they leave the port. Not when they reach the sea."
She got his hint. "Aisha, we have to be careful. Its possible Pattan is here. It can be his plan. So be careful."
They moved ahead. but the more they went in, they were more confused. There was no sign of such big barrels. But only small quantities. And then all of a sudden they were surrounded by men. And this time with Pattan too. They surrounded them.
"Sir... the trap was not for them. But for us" for the first time Arjun nodded positive to her.
Patan came to the front. "wah... Rawte. Akhir tum mere jaal mein bhas hi gaye. Tumhe kya laga ke hum bewakoof hai. Nahi Rawte. Aur rahi tumhare team ke baath wo bhi yahi ayege. Kyunki wo jagah yahi hai. Jaha agla explosion hoga. 10 30 ko" he laughed like a maniac.
Arjun quickly glanced at his watch. He had 45 minutes. He looked back at Pattan. "haso Pattan. This is your end. Shayad tum tumhare doston ko bohot miss kar rahe hoge." He was trying to distract him. But Pattan was ready for him. A sudden blow from behind made Aisha loss her balance. And so did Arjun's concentration. The fight began instantly. Pattan left the arena for his men.
Aisha recovered faster than expected. They formed the team again. But the men came in again and again. Arjun had seen Pattan leaving. He wanted to go behind him and get him. But the men were keeping him busy. And he was losing time.
They fought a battle. The men falling down were getting increased. The voice of the gunfire was echoing the whole ship. At last the men were reduced. "Aisha handle them. Mein Pattan ko dekhthe hai" she took hold of the condition and he moved ahead.
Pattan who had a wooded leg on one side and crutches on a hand due to the damaged leg, had a hard time to move ahead. That's why he usually kept the best men ahead of him. As he had lost 2 of his best men, he didn't want to take chance this time. That's why he came to the forefront. He could hear the gun shots behind him, he was not sure if Arjun was down. But he knew that within a few minutes, he will be down with his most favorite ship that had brought great fortune to him. But inorder to gain some thing he had to lose something.
Arjun was behind him. He could hear due to the sound made by the wooden leg. A point came when Pattan was at his gun point. Pattan was shocked.
"kaha ja rahe ho Pattan? Hamara baath abhi thak khatam nahi hua hai!! Aur tum aise hi nikal rahe ho?"
"Bohot garv haina Arjun tumhe apne aap par? Par aaj nahi. Ek goli se mere jaan tho chale hi jayege. Par aaj tum yaha se nahi bachoge. Ab bas 20 minute baki hai. Aur agar agle 15 minute me mein agar baahar nahi aaya, tho mere aadmi is ship ke saare darwaze band karenge. Thab na mein baahar ja paunga, na tum, na tumhare wo ladki, aur naahi wo ladkiyan jo yaha hai."
Arjun was surprised by his plan. But he didn't show it in his face. He made sure that he had to leave within 15 minutes. But where are the girls?
"ladkiyan?? Kaha hai wo?"
Pattan gave out his evil laugh again. "Ab aise pyaar se puchoge tho mujhe aur maza ayega. Aur mein nahi bathayega"
Arjun was boiling. Time was running out. He shot at Pattan's knees which was already half damaged. He let out a scream and fell onto the floor. Arjun rushed to him and kicked him black and blue. "Bolo Pattan warna bolne layak nahi chodunga" he gave his evil grin again to Arjun.
"kya karoge Arjun? Maroge?" he made Arjun press his gun to his forehead. He gripped his fingers over Arjun's fingers that were on the trigger. "tho suno. 6 ladkiyan hai. Ho sako tho dhundlo." He smirked and pressed the trigger. The bullet went out through his skull. He fell from Arjun's hands.
Arjun was frustrated. He had lost lots of time. He rushed in. there Aisha was taking down the last man. She was tired. As she leaned back Arjun held her. "Aisha, you alright??" he was worried. She saw it and nodded positive. He looked around. She had indeed done a great work. "good job Aisha. But we need to move fast. We have 15 minutes. Yaha 6 ladkiyan hai. Kaha ye tho patha nahi. After 10 min mein yaha ke doors close hojayega. Fir yaha nikal nahi paunga. And after 5 min explosion. Before that we need to find the girls and take them out." She nodded and understood the situation.
They searched all around but were not getting them. At last they found 5 girls hidden in the basement. thankfully they were just tied and not drugged.
"Sir, yaha sirf 5 hai. Where is the 6th girl?"
He looked around.
"patha nahi Aisha. But you take them out now. I will search for the 6th girl"
"par sir aap yaha akele?"
"There is no time Aisha. Just take them out. I'll be out soon. Aur ha, baahar shayad koi hoga. Be careful there. Now go."
She took the girls out but glanced back at him. "sir, please jaldi ayiye" he nodded and she took the girls out. He rushed to the inner rooms. It was hard to find the way out. At last they reached the door way. Someone was about to close the door. She kicked him out. And fired all those who were left there.
She took the girls out. She barely reached the frontend of the docks. She was worried as she knew the time was running out. In fact it was almost time. For the first time she wished to see this man whom she always lost her temper, the man with lot of attitude. But where was he? She thought of going ahead but was suddenly thrown aside by the blast in the ship.
