well according me, arjun was always angry at everything and it is a good thing that his anger is channeled into something positive, i.e. solving crimes so intelligently. anger like this can really drive a person in complete darkness making them criminals. it seems arjun has no family and all he had was roshni and she was brutally killed infront of him. i believe that he blames himself for her death and nothing is worse than that for any person. his attitude and mysterious nature is a what makes him so attractive and charming. he is damaged. moreover riya's death (again, right in front of him, with him being completely helpless), made him angrier. the show does not focus at all on effects on him of riya's death. so i can only assume that riya's death has made him angrier and more tough. i am not saying he loved riya, but he knew somewhere that she did love him and looked up to him as a mentor too and he failed to save her (though it was completely riya's choice, i believe he still feels responsible considering he was the closest person standing to her)

sorry for the long para. lol

A very sensitive and perceptive observation and analysis. Yes, he is badly damaged, and as Ian Fleming (of all people) once wrote, he is like a bird with a broken wing.

In the chess episode too, this escalating sense of guilt is what makes him all the more determined to punish Sandhya' s killer, and he says as much: She told me all this would happen and yet I was not able to do anything for her. He blames himself needlessly, for Sandhya is murdered the same night after her conversation with Arjun, and how could he have done anything about it? The same with Riya, who should never have let herself be taken prisoner so easily, especially when she is a martial arts expert. And yet Arjun blames himself. So it is no wonder he is getting more and more frustrated and angry, above all with himself, and he has no one who cares enough to try to take him out of himself.

This said, I think the way he behaves with Rathod would NEVER be tolerated in any police service. After the armed forces, the police is the most hierarchical and insists on obedience to superior officers, which is necessary for maintaining discipline in such a demanding profession. Any boss in Rathore's place would have put his foot down. But these days Rathore hardly seems to react to Arjun's childish and inane Samjhe ya samjhaaon? This particular tick of his is by now long past its expiry date, but since the CVs are not too hot in the imagination department, I suppose we will have to put up with this smart aleck mannerism till the end of the series.

Perhaps he WAS the boss once and there was some problem?

I think it's his basic personality may be, as for him being a boss, if he was he wouldn't have lasted too long.

Thanks Tani, for some reason I was being very observant when I was watching the episode, or may be it was because there were no distractions when I was watching.😆

Thanks so much, yeah that arrogance is nice to in some places but at the same time it's out of place when he talks to Rathore and rest of the team, may be we will soon get an explanation for it.

Yes I agree with you Arjun was always angry and I think it goes back to before he even met Roshni judging by his beliefs about god and prayers, I even agree that he is still with dealing with guilt of not saving Roshni and then Riya even and it's good that he focuses his anger on the criminals but he crosses the line at times when it comes to Rathore and rest of the team. Past few episodes it's been little more noticable than usual.
His arrogance and the attitude is unexcuseable at times.

His guilt aside I agree that it is unexcusable the way he behaves with Rathore who is his superior, and the way he behaves with Rathore is not tolerated in any profession not just police and I am not sure why or how about it.
Anyway at first I wondered why Rathore is tolerating this, especially since I noticed that his expression of late tells their own story, yet he stays quiet. In the beginning he was quick to act on his authority when it came to Arjun but no lately. It could be because maybe because they have a past and also because Rathore understands the reason for Arjun's anger.
Also may be at this point he is only looking at the end result and that is to catch the criminal and bring justice to the victims. Rathore said in yesterday's episode that more than racing he loves his duty as police officer so may be this his reason for staying quiet, but tha's not to say that he won't break at some point and not put Arjun in his place.
In the end though it's up to the CVs on how they want to do this and for now they are going by the whole meaning behind the name Arjun, the title of the show.
I hope that they do mellow Arjun down a bit in the future and not carry this until the end of the show.

Hey gang, just something I noticed in today's episode which I find strange.

I watched the episode and went back through the scenes and noticed that Arjun's chain was either missing or was not visible today at all. In couple of the scene he had two to three of his top shirt button open (I am sure no one missed this😉) but I did not see the chain. Really strange since that chain belonged to Roshni and he always wears it, I wonder why it was missing in today's episode.

I have mixed feelings regarding this episode. I loved Rathore and the glimpse into his background, Shree and his compassion towards the mental patients and the explanation he gave to Chottu was so heartwarming and Chottu, being Chottu as usual, you can't help but like the guy.

Now to Arjun, I kind of noticed that for the past few episode he seems angrier, he was full of attitude today, not only towards the criminal, that is always great to see, but it seemed like he was showing Rathore more attitude than usual and also he continues to give orders as if he is the chief and not Rathore, I find that really weird, but may be that's just me.

Last but not the least, he looked hot as usual, loved all colors on him today.

totally agree with u..arjun ke shirt ke button open ho hum na notice aisa kaise hosakte hai😉i love his chain, and i think sree ka flash back b hain, aur arjun ka attitude,i loved it,dialgs were dhasu too
