Thanks a lot for this SS dear!!!

I'm in tears right now.. trust me. I've been so emotionally disturbed after what they did to Riya in sunday's episode that I couldn't sleep that night. In fact it was this evening that I could finally become normal..

I just donno.. I really hope Riya survives.

I WOULD NEVER FORGIVE THE CVs OF THE SHOW IF THEY KILL RIYA!!!

Heylo Peeps, Back with Chapter 2.. 🤗

I know, I was supposed to post this two days back! Been really occupied with personal issues..

Well, coming back to the update.. I'm seriously overwhelmed with the response this one's recieved!! Here's a biiig thank you hug for each one of you! 🤗

Chapter 2 is going to be focussed on the hospital track. I've tried my best to make it sound realistic. Hope you like it..

Phew!! That was a long one! I hope it made up for being late!! Hope you liked it!!

Note regarding Riya's treatment: A Gene Map or a Genetic map of an organism describes genes or sites responsible for controlling various proteins in the body. In the case of bacteria, the gene map also reveals certain Antibiotic resistance genes.. (For instance, a gene for a particular antibiotic, say, Penicillin is PRESENT on the XZora 12 map, administering Penicillin to the patient would be useless, since the bacteria is resistant to Penicillin. The antibiotic/ medication would not have any effect on the bacteria and wouldn't contribute to recovery..)

So, you need to find an alternate antibiotics (the genes for which are ABSENT on the microbe's gene map) and administer those ones, so that the bacteria gets attacked by those and gets killed!

Hope that wasn't really confusing!! Well, for those of you who don't know it yet, I'm pursuing a Part-time Masters in Medical Genetics!! 😉😉

Oh and btw, I looked up this case online and was surprised when I came across a similar case in Germany, dated back to 2010! The writers are clearly doing their homework!!

So, this chapter! I LOVED it!! The reactions of the entire team were all I imagined they would be - Rathore's upset, yet still responsible, Chotu's wearing down the hospital floor and Shree is just lost! Arjun's helpless anger was very well-written; I could actually feel his desperation. Loved that bit about Roshni's blessings. Can't wait to read the rest, so please, update soon!!

Special round of applause for putting in enough science to make Riya's recovery logical. Mail to PH, please!! Take a bow, lady! *wild applause*

Hey Avantika Di,
As I am an engg student and don't have a clue about medical terms, commenting on that part would be incorrect, But I enjoyed reading through it and having got to know some new facts... And I had almost forgot that in the episode they showed that scientists from other countries have researched on this bacteria... your update reminded me

I loved the intensity of Arjun and Rathore's relationship and the understanding they share... It was a nice treat to see Rathore caring for Arjun...
And Arjun's helplessness...*sigh*, I just can't see it
And in the precap, Shree got the letters
I am looking forward to these letters now...

Dear Avantika,

Very, very nice, and sweet and sentimental without being mawkish. That is always a bit of a high wire act, but you have managed it.

I will probably shock half your fans, but I feel that love scenes, however charming, are familiar stuff, whereas the very competent and professional medical take on Riya's treatment was a treat. I enjoyed reading something new and informative for a change. You are obviously putting your current studies to good use.

Also congratulations on getting such an out of the ordinary saas-to-be.

Oh btw, it's my first Navratri after being engaged; and it's been quite eventful so far! 😃😃

My mum-in-law had flown down to the UK to be with her sister and gosh she left me speechless when she actually gifted me a designer saree!! 😲 😳

Whoever says, mum-in-laws are khadoos and typical Kyunki Saas bhi kabhi bahu thi taipes, meet mine!! She's an angel; for now atleast!! 😉 😆

Absolutely brilliant Avantika. Loved the update and really believable solutions you came up with.

I am a nurse, and the first thought that came to my mind after watching the episode was, it is still possible to to administer antibiotics to Riya and save her if the can find an antibiotic that is not sensitive to this particular bacteria. Hopefully they will come up with a sensible solution to save her.
