PART-2

They were on their way to the office when rathore's phone rang again.

Rathore: "yes sir, ok sir. We will be there in about half an hour."

Rathore to arjun: "rawte sir ne kaha hai k unki car traffic jam mein phans gae hai, he will take a short cut n meet us at the ETF office. Wahin discuss kr lenge sara kuch. Aur waise bhi riya se baat bhi krni hai……to (in a worried tone)…..aj hi kr lenge …"

Arjun: "magar humein to ye route lamba parega….anyways jaldi chalo"

Rathore glared at him…….

Arjun: "I mean jaldi chaelin SIR!!"

Arjun closed his eyes for a while to take rest as the whole day was tiring …. "sir ap kaise dekh pate hain jo koi aur nahin dekh pata? Jab sb log barikion mein ulajh jate hain to mein mudde pe dehan deta hun. Sir kash meinbhi ek din apki tarha wo dekh paun jo nazar to sabko ata hai par dikhta nahin hai" riya's words with that innocent smile echoed in arjun's mind….he opened his eyes in disbelief…… "What am I doing? She is just a beginner…everyone makes mistakes but is this the only way to make her learn? No arjun, u can't be so mean. Sending her back to research desk…..this won't help her, in fact it's gonna break her…her confidence will be shattered. U have to think of something else, something that can actually be helpful to her…." He kept on thinking when suddenly the car stopped with a jerk. He snapped back to reality when he heard rathore yelling "damn it! These stupid traffic jams"

Arjun: "rathore …..mein soch raha hun k kia yehi ek rasta hai"

Rathore: "rawte…yehi rasta hai office ka, ab mein kai ura k le jaun is gadi ko.." he said in an irritated tone.

Arjun glared at him n said: "im talking about riya not the route."

Rathore: "oh….mein bhi kbse yehi soch raha hun. We can't send her back like this…..ab kia krein? Kuch socha hai tm ne?"

Arjun: "rathore…..dekho agar hum riya ko ek month ki training pe bhej dein base camp where she can practice her shooting skills…..aur uski seat ko vacant hi rakhein….take woe k month bad rejoin kr sake.."

Rathore: "good idea rawte…waise bhi riya ki jaga koi new officer nahin ae ga….she is perfect as a research specialist, bs ek baar wo apni shooting improve kr le ….phir koi problem nahin hogi……commissioner sahib se mein baat krta hun ja k"

Arjun nodded his head in agreement.

Shree n chotu reached the parking lot. They searched for the SUV but neither the car nor the three officers were there. Shree took out his mobile to call riya…

Shree: (almost shouting) "15 missed calls!"

Chotu: "yar mere pe bhi 15 missed calls……ye riya ne itni calls kyun ki humein? Aur dekho hamein chod k akeli chali gai un dono khadus logon k sath."

Shree: "aur ab unki daant sun ri hogi raste mein. Bechari riya ….."

They both took the other SUV n made their way back to the ETF office.

She stormed out of the building, ran as fast as she could, colliding with the people walking nearby, wiping her tears and finally landing at the entrance of the ETF office. This was the first time ever that she ran like a maniac on the side-walks of Mumbai n was out of breath as she ended up on the main door of the office. She walked straight through the door and went into the inside range at the back side of the ETF office. (an inside range is a place where officers practice shooting. It is an area almost 100 meters long, bordered with sound-proof walls).

The door was of glass so that one standing outside can see what's happening inside. She stepped in, closed the door n locked it. Her eyes were swollen red due to constant sobbing. She took out her gun, loaded it from the bullets placed on one of the tables, put on the head-phone n started shooting at the target in front of her. She fired all the bullets in just 60 seconds with hot tears dripping down her cheeks, not realizing that all of them hit the target perfectly.

She loaded the pistol again n emptied all of it on the board right beside the last one, again hitting bull's eye. She then closed her eyes, still holding on to the already empty gun.

The commissioner reached the ETF office n was told by the guard that no one was in the office except riya. The commissioner thought it was a good opportunity to talk to the girl herself before signing her transfer orders. Just then rathore and arjun arrived, followed by shree n chotu. They all greeted the commissioner n as told by the guard the commissioner walked towards the range. All four ETFians were surprised as to why he was going there.

Rathore: "sir ap kahan jar he hain? Office to upar hai."

Commissioner: "rathore, guard ne btaya hai k riya peche range mein shooting practice kr rhe hai, mujhe un orders pe sign krne se phele ek bar us se baat krni hai."

Shree n chotu were looked puzzled: "orders ? kause orders sir?" they asked rathore….. "research desk wapis bhejne k orders"

Replied rathore as they all followed the commissioner.

Both of them were shocked like hell….
shree whispered to chotu: "ye log aisa kaise kr skte hain chotu?"

Chotu: "ye log kuch bhi kr skte hain, power jo hai inke paas."

Shree: "magar riya ko pata chal to…"
before he could complete his sentence they were standing at the door of the range. They all saw riya standing there holding her gun.
