And I think he had a plan. If in the end they were left with nothing, he would have had to tell Ranisa. But the way he said "I am going to do something big", he had a plan brewing in his mind.

Even in the mini video they did. Veer was wearing the same kit as in the BTS where kidnapper says Rani ran away.

I hope so. I think the glass breaking also holds some symbolism? The way Veer broke that glass of water.

It could be that Veer will have to get hurt in order to save Rani (i.e. water in thick glass). His dialogue with Ranisa also kind of hinted that "I am going to do something big".

If Veer gets hurt in saving Rani, then Rani will continue with trying to release Ranisa and the holi color symbolisms will follow through as usual.

Same thing with the parcel, can't they use some of that as some type of evidence to get to the real culprit?

Nandini cannot be excused at all. She was there when Veer said ,compared to the pain Rani is bearing this is nothing .

Jai might take revenge from Nandini for the slap too.

So I wii argue that,

There is a difference between not telling someone when they cant help and not telling someone when they can save your wife by revealing the culprit.

Basically veers love for ranisa is annoying. She doesn't deserve it. But you are right he is not thinking straight. He can't. 😔
