Oh Onupama ji, un parayon ke ghar pe bina rent, bina contribution ke 6 mahine se hain aap. Unhone aapke failaye hue raite ko sameta hain, musibat se bachaya hain. Ulta unhone iss paraye ko paala hain.

I doubt it'd have any effect. Pumaa is not only hypocritical and shameless but also very stubborn

And Pumaa herself should have dished out one slap to Jhuli Mawaali when she questioned her character or when gave her baddua but all she could say was: Baaaaaaa, Merri Baa ne mujhe Baddua de di, Meri Baa ne mujhe Baddua de di booohooooo

So basically Jhuli Mawaali was correct when she maligned Pumaa's character or the countless times she abused and manipulated her because Bade Bhagwaan hote hai?

Honestly Kanta was too late to do anyhing or have any impact. Primarily it was her fault only for marrying her young, not letting her study or socialise and even raised her to be submissive. As a parent she deprived her of life skills. Then Anupamaa started enjoying that subjugation and when Kanta really took a stand, by that time Anupamaa was too conditioned to break free... By hook or crook she wanted to be be berated by her masters. Worst she remained a slave for Shahs but became aggressive, stubborn, overconfident and uncompromising for the world.

One can say Kanta at least tried to change her ways, redeem herself, accepted her mistakes, challenged Shahs, genuinely hoped and tried that Anupamaa's second marriage worked. But her daughter, not even once reflected on her decisions... redemption or correcting her mistakes is a far off thing....

May be slapping her multiple times, like Kokila is doing above, could have brought Anupamaa out of the trance that Shahs and V had put her in. But that's the only thing she did not try... so...
