Absolutely nothing except that he is rich with no class and no emotions for anyone except for a trash woman like Anupama.

He was introduced as a rich, polished, smart and sensible "business tycoon" who respected people and had high moral values. He was a welcome change from the toxic chauvinism shown in the form of Vanraj.

This obsession for Anupama was the reason why his wedding with her ended in a divorce after 3 years. Which sane business man would make Anupama, signing authority of his business and also allow Anupama to handle his business after looking at her educational qualifications? Anupama and Anuj were poles apart. Anuj was a rich business man, US educated, broad minded where as Anupama was just a 12th standard pass plus having the baggage of her toxic ex-family. The Kapadia's showered immense love on Anupama even though Anupama was not fit to become DIL of the Kapadia's. Blind Love can make you commit mistakes.

Anuj and Kinjal are classical examples of blind love in the show. The only difference in the mistakes of Anuj and Kinjal is

01. Kinjal, despite being an MBA graduate elopes and marries Toshu. Toshu had cheated Kinjal with infidelity.

02. Anuj did not elope for getting married to Anupama. Anuj was emotionally cheated by Anupama who had always given free service to her toxic Maika called SH even after becoming the DIL of a rich Kapadia family.

Finally 26 years of relationship with toxic ex - family proved to be a blocker for Anupama even though she got married to Anuj.

It is not love that is the problem, it is being blinded in love, that is the problem.

I would like to believe he tried to keep the relationship afloat and even tried talking through to Anupama multiple times. The last straw was the post accident sequence. ALL he ever feared was that if he questioned Anupama, did something that she perhaps did not like, she would leave him, which she ultimately did.

There is only one aim in Anuj's life to have Anupama in his life. In the process, he was willing, on his part to give up on EVERYTHING he had his family, included.

Anupama, on her part, perhaps never loved Anuj. He was, perhaps, her safety net. Who she could reliably fall back on, unquestioned. She never for once stood up for her husband, Anuj's or his family's honour. She even forgave Vanraj for an attempt to murder Anuj. She never prioritised him, his family but by virtue of being the lady of the house and business, made her presence felt in their lives. She methodically distanced him from his relations to the extent that she was ALL he had in the name of family. ALL was well till his questions about her priorities mounted. With no answers up her sleeve, she ABANDOBED THEM BOTH and left never to look back.

After 5 years, when they met by accident, it was perhaps imperative that, unless, Anuj has got over the obsession, je would fall for Anupama harder than before.

Now I wonder if this is a lover story or a psychological thriller.

because both have helped in business and making it so big

He did not make ankush because barkha and adhik wanted to take over business

even ppl like bill gates, narayan mrthy or steve jobs have not given their big company in hands of wife who are highly educated like engineers etc

Its not a joke to handle a big million dollar company you need to understand many things if no expert like law, presentation skills, client skills, employee managing capability, travelling to client place now and than to build business etc

GK kaka and malviak both done it from many years and malvika is educated in usa too and handled kapadiya empire alone quiet well without anuj help when he left with anupama handing it to her

If instead of malvika, anupama was there she would hand off signing authority to vanraj with all the manipulation of love care vanraj was doing towards malvika to get hold of her wealth and business

It is to malvika credit she did not let her emotions ruule over her business sense and handled vanraj, toshu like a rofessional business woman unlike anupama who would blindly sigany authority vanraj wanted without any thought

Now next best candidate to handle anuj business is adhya because she can see through ppl intentions in life and is not blinded by love or emotions like anupam or anuj and is mature
