Nothing new that she is even trying! Pehle Punjabi restaurant ko Gujrati bana diya aur ab yehi haal iss Superstar Chef ka bhi karegi.

Please do not give ideas about another lecture on how even peels are useful and an Orat, a Grihanhi never wastes even the peels and how Bharatiya Khana is a symbol of sustainable cooking (which I largely agree it is).

ALL from Anupama is just very hollow. She (writers actually) seems to have the knack to trivialize important issues and the message gets lost in the 5(00) panne ka bhashan.

Haan woh peels ko cook karke, uski ko innovation bata ke chipka degi judges ko.. The unrealistically fool that everyone becomes around her will get instantly impressed... Par phir bhi yaar... Kela koi chilke ke saath kaise kha sakta hai... Yeh log hadd karte hai aur phir apni hi hadd ko paar kar dete hain..

Singing me to aap dub kar sakte hain. Although mai koi dancer nahi hu but Art & culture subject ko achhe se padha hai. Mujhe hairani hue ki IF pe aaj tak kisi ne ye point out nahi kiya ki wo classical dance ke naam par jo moves karti hai wo sab galat hota hai. Dance academy kholkar Kathak sikhane ki baat karke Bharatnatyam ke steps sikhane lagti hai.

Lekin ab cooking ki baat kar lete hain. Aur thanks to our culture, Cooking ke baare me jyadatar women ko knowledge hoti hi hai. To you can clearly see.. ki aise kahani ke purpose se fatafat khana taiyar karke dikhaya ja sakta hai. Aur sahi bhi hai ki actor ko use pakane ki jarurt nahi. Lekin jab story cooking competition par focused hai tab to actor ko seekhna hi padega aur aise aap kuch bhi to nahi dikha sakte!

Lekin ITV par sab chalta hai. Dusre desho me kisi profession par based show karne se pahle Actors training lete hain. Yaha to kuch bhi dikha do!

Udhar Savi bina padhe likhe, family walo ki recent tragic death ka trauma, bahan ke coma, sasural me mental torcher, forced marriage, husband ki lover ko roj dekhkar, sabko rescue karne ke mission me lage rahkar, one sided love me padkar... Wahi dusri taraf Abhira (Although I like her character).. Ek to padhai nahi karti, dusra aise juvenile arguments deti hai, jo court me permissible nahi hain. Aur usme ye kya dikha dete hain ki ek firm ek intern ko high profile case pakda deti hai aur wo bhi first chair? Interns to kya... Law practice karne ke kai kai saal tak lawyers ko badi mushkil se second chair banne ka mauka milta hai.

Fir court me court proceedings aur Indian law ko follow karte nahi dikhate ye log.. bas melodramatic speech do, achanak se witness bula lo (jo nahi kiya ja sakta), koi video dikha do (jo present me admissible nahi hai, jo naye laws pass hue hain unke laagu hone ke baad hoga aur uske bhi kuch kayde hain) aur bas! Pata nahi kaise... Etni thodi bhi mehnat nahi karna chahte makers! Kyonki audience (jisme jyadatar highly educated hain) ko Kitchen politics, Vamp ke lusty schemes me jyada interest hai!

Sirf ek show hai jisme FL ke professional qualification ka majak nahi bana, jismen kuch reality thi! Lekin wo show (TMD) to women ki "udaan" ya "aai baba ke sapno" ko pura krne ke liye nahi jahar bechne ke liye tha/hai, to wo bas violence ko hi love batakar dikhaye ja rhe!

I mean.. Sahiba bachpan se kaam karti aai, usne pita se seekha, ghar chalaya... Talent, bachpan se seekhna aur saalo ki mehnat ke baad she had every right call herself an artist! But story uske artist banne ke sapno ke liye thi hi nahi. She never got recognised, never finished her education. Uske talent ko limelight me aate dikhaya hi nahi. Ulta uske art ka majak hi banate dikhaya gya!

Isliye... Padhai-likhai aur sports se Judi technicalities ko chodo, ye log cooking tak me bhi basics ka dhyan nahi rakh rahe! Because audience ko fark nahi padta!

The fact of the matter is, STOP showing women as bechari, kamzor, victims. The minute you start viewing them as fighters, survivors, achievers, the viewing experience will be much better.

We have recognised the problem statement, now show a positive, solution based approach.

Yes, women face a LOT of hurdles, have been facing and will take many years to change society but we can start small, stay persistent.

It is not like there are no good stories to tell. Ofcourse there are.

Either they do NOT get the backing of a strong Production House or the reach of a popular channel. Which ends up not garnering enough numbers to stay in the business or are forced to change to fit.

The main problem is the reach. Sony shows stories with stronger FLs and more realism. However, they don't get trps and shut shop within an year or max 2 years. But short & sweet stories create a long-lasting positive impression, whereas shows like Anupama will be remembered only for its trp ranking & cringe narrative.
