Pata nahi yeh kaun se sudhare hue jameen se jude bache hain jinhe classical dance mein itna interest aa raha hai.. When I was their age, I was not even remotely interested in anything classical. Now only I have warmed up to some classical ragas and singers. Mostly children whose families are trained classical artists or who have learned under some teacher seem to be the ones who have an affinity towards classical.
Classical dance and singing are tough, require discipline, and are sometimes slow.. It needs a certain intellect even in the audience to understand and appreciate it. Mixing Bharatnatyam with Kathak in Bollywood songs cannot be called classical dancing. I can understand that RG is a non-dancer and probably at this age might be trying her best. But that's why it's all the more important that you don't make Anupamaa the epitome of all the toughest things in the world, which requires immense practice, perseverance, and dedication plus years of practice. It puts too much pressure on the character and the character is not able to justify it. By doing simple things also she could have risen in life. She needn't do the toughest things in life. A small business making it big, a simple but successful teacher, a simple yet elegant dancer, or a dance teacher to little children, something in the food business could have also given her a respectable identity. An identity she lost while she made Shahs the center of her life and revolved around them. An identity that she has still not been able to find by being the best classical dancer or by managing a multi-billion Kapadia empire, because the character's experience, dedication, exposure, and effort have not been able to justify it..
