I personally don't think it was a sham. No sane person would accept such horrible treatment for himself and the daughter he adores unless he's hopelessly in Love

their marriage, a catastrophical disaster of sorts, both be blamed, I hope you agree…

the adoption- an emotional risk, again his fault mostly to have rushed into it without weighing the odds…

The adoption wasn't a risk either. When you love someone with all you have you accept the same in return. As other is said "we accept the love we think we deserve"

Now that the damage is done, he is trying to do the best for his daughter…keeping her happy, safe and away from any further damage and the kid wants the same for him, to be happy, with Shruti to get over his past trauma…

Anuj will never get over Anupamaa, but he wants to…he is disturbed by her memories and hasnt so far recollected any of the happy ones whereas Anupamaa thinks of him and their love and reminisces the good times..

She misses CA and worries for her but Aadhya’s memories of her mummy have festered badly…

That's natural for the poor girl to feel this way. Her anxiety seems to be relatable more because her past has been very traumatic unlike other (I know we shouldn't compare people's trauma). Children who are adopted habe different state of mind and thankfully ONLY anuj knew that

Anuj is reluctant to marry Shruti cause he feels its unfair when he still hasnt been able to wipe his heart clean of Anupamaa…getting engaged was again not wise/needed if he was unsure but would it be so wrong if he wants to give life another chance? not just for Aadhya or Shruti but for himself..

Anupamaa decided to choose her peace and progress and though she misses her kids, she is happy in her new life, trying to find her feet in a new place…good for her!

So if Anupamaa can have another shot at happiness, why cant he?

After seeing this Serial, husbands may think that we should not give freedom to wives, we have to keep the wives like Mr. Vanaraj, otherwise one day for small normal argument they may give divorce and leave their children.

as if there werent enough controlling husbands around already…Anuj jaise men will never find their place in the society thanks to abuse loving women like Anupamaa, who cant handle love, equality and freedom.
