TV Shows and Movie References

Since DKP writers/creatives are experiencing a major writers block and are currently surviving on borrowing and stealing plots/tracks from movies and shows or recycling scenes from their own franchise @Dee-Dee asked if we could have a thread for the references so we can make sense of the scenes…

The latest scam is the airplance scene lifted from the movie English Vinglish…taking inspiration is something but blatantly copying is what DKP believes in…how have they not been charged of plagiarism I wonder….

khair, another reference with the restaurant she was meant to work for being shut is inspired from the movie Raamji Londonwaale I think, where the restaurant owner Ramji is meant to work for dies and he is left with no job and nowhere to go….Ramji then finds help in a family whos kid he saves in an accident and the family offer Ramji a job at their restaurant…obviously the movie highlighted legal/immigration issues but Anupamaa as we know is above and beyond all law and legalities, hell she didnt even apply for her own Amreeka ka visa and was served it on a platter with a ticket to fly the next day, privilege isko bolte hai…

Someone mentioned some Ahem and Gopi reference too, I have no clue about that show so people who know please enlighten us…

Someone mentioned si e Ahem and Gopi reference, I have no clue about that show so people who know please enlighten us…

Basically Ahem and Gopi split for 10 years as Gopi went to jail for killing her evil sister Radha.

Ahem broke all relationships with Gopi and his family members and moved to Mumbai with his daughters. His daughters hated their mother Gopi for abandoning them and treated a woman called Mansi like their mother. Mansi was Ahem’s girlfriend who was living with them and taking care of the girls. Gopi later finds Ahem and vows to bring him and his daughters back to Rajkot and win their love once again.

It’s similar to this current track here as Anuj and CA will both hate MAA for abandoning them. CA will be a brat just like Meera due to not getting proper parvarish and will treat the new woman like her mother. The new woman will probably live with CA and Anuj and will have a crush on Anuj and want to marry him just like Mansi. MAA will eventually meet Anuj and CA and will be shocked to see their cold behaviour towards her. Just like Gopi she will vow to win their love once again and will try to erase the hate from CA mind.

wow didnt know that meek looking Gopi who washed laptop with soap could kill someone and avenge, thanks AP…

though I dont think Joganpamaa here will fight to win Anuj back, she has too much of an ego to do that…Anuj khud rota hua laut ayega maa ke charno mein… I feel bad for the the new char alreadysmiley38

Thank you 🥰 I didn’t know you will seriously create a thread 😍

I saw Englis Vinglis recently so get that reference finally 😂

But like you said taking inspiration and blatantly copying is different.

I just thought of checking other forums for the first time today of DKP shows, and saw a thread in YRKKH where they copied whole first season of Ghum in YRKKH new season 😂

If they really want to copy something, pls copy EK and make Maa kill Tosu or Vanraj like Tulsi killed her son 😂 Pakhi bhi chalegi 😂

My grandma used to watch Gopi Vau show and I have seen it here and there initially. I remember the laptop washing scene but didn’t know all this happened too 😂

@Bold : Gopi didn’t have an ex husband/lover like Maa has. I don’t think Maa would make any effort to win CA and Anuj beck, infact her humongous ego will get shattered when she will assume Anuj has moved on and would give him more tashan like she used to do with Vanraj and eventually divorced him after making him beg to not go ahead with the divorce.

Maa ne apne 26 saal ke pyaar ki shadi zabaradasti Kavya se kara di, to iss bar to wo Anuj aur uski new partner ka gatbandhan khud karegi aur mantra bhi padh degi 😂

Maa will say CA aur Anuj mere bina khus hai, sukhi hai, aage badh gaye hain to main bhi unke bare mein kyon sochu, main apne bachho aur parivar ke bare mein sochungi aur apni ek nayi Pehchaan banaungi (fir se)

I think they should copy The Nun or The Conjuring too...

Anupama being the nun and Dukhmukh the old man ghost.

Oh wait.. They already did..

If you like previous Rajkumar Hirani movies, you will like this. It's the same formula and if you like SRK, it's a bonus.
