She was a divorcee having 3 children who kept good relationship with everyone from SH . She also tried to keep good relationship with people at Km .When Anuj married her he never thought her baggage could suffocate him so much .So when she realised it she felt the best way is to make him free from her baggage so that he can breath freely and live according to his terms as being a good mother she can't stay away from her responsibilities and could not make Anuj and CA suffer more.

So, Onupama agreed she had full consent in adopting Choti Anu and did NOT regret the decision.

Adoption is not a joke nor is the adopted child an option in one's life.

She took not a split second in abandoning the adoptive daughter.

Hell, she walked out without even asking to even meet "her Bebli", "sabse pyaara bachcha" even once.
