I don't know about her and her son's wish but according to rituals, they should not celebrate any festival for a year. Some rituals do not make sense I do agree but this one has to be followed and there are reasons behind it. Even I followed when my grandmother expired in 2013. Well, we all wondered how devi ji could be so heartless as to leave Anuj in a paralyzed state and celebrate her poti's homecoming, how could she be so heartless to celebrate Holi when Anuj was grieving? All these prove that she only loves herself. A shameless narcissist.

Just to add episodes these ppl illogically put festivals track

It looks so stupid to see a grieving mother is obsessed with celebrating all festivals, wearing new dress n singing n dancing n putting it on name of her son that he wanted it..

Ppl sing n dance when they r happy ..A mother n family who lost a young son few days back would be so depressed..who would care about festivals..

It's a generally followed not to celebrate any festivals or wedding in a family at least for a year where someone died. N here it seems just few months n anupama is obsessed with her sadakchap naach gaana.

Not just that she has to celebrate everything in Shah house only.

Don’t they feel awkward, cringe, embarrassed and weirdly funny doing this on almost every festival, like calling it a party everytime with no guests?

And especially now when they are mourning apparently, this celebration feels like a crime. People don’t even do this when a 90 yr old whos in an age passes away and here it’s their young son’s murder.
Most shameless is Anuj who reached there despite being thrown out multiple times, being called a murderer, no one talks to him or even offers him water and he is there for Vanraj ki Meri Anu.

And from now every festival will be Samar’s favorite and Anupama will celebrate it for Samar ki khusi

This is not a tv show but a joke and anupama is not a beautiful character but literally a biggest joke in the whole wide world
