I think Anuj’s father was MD’s husband. She didn’t get pregnant before marriage… She got pregnant after marriage and had Anuj.. She got an opportunity to fulfill her dreams/career but Anuj’s father didn’t let her go.. he was a roadblock in her udaan hence MD hates husbands and relationships.. but she anyway left baby Anuj with the father and went for her udaan.. when she came back she found out that the baby was already given away to an orphanage by baby’s father (or forced by relatives).. MD in her guilt didn’t go look for baby Anuj. She probably found out he was adopted and didn’t really go around looking for him.. hence she said mamta ko barso pehle maar diya etc. Baby Anuj was probably not named when MD left him so she doesn’t know anything about the baby.

Now when she finds out Anuj is her son who she abandoned.. her mamta will jaag utho.. but Anuj will refuse to accept her as his mother & say that his late adopted mom is his mother. Later Anupama will try to bridge the gap between mother-son duo who will eventually reunite lol

I think the actor who played Tulsidas Parekh should play the Sr version of Anuj’s father if he ever enters. At least he’ll be able to add some sort of comedy in this bland show 👍🏼

Anuj's father could be:

1. Mr Kapadia Senior himself. He married Malvika's mom after Malti's exit and fabricated a story for his son.

2. Might be Anirudh's father. ( why bring in Kavya's baby's father to be Anirudh? Must be that the guy gonna hit a comeback soon, so why not mess it up, make it murkier?)

3. Kinju's papa. ( Rakhi did say Mr Dave was the cheating type)

4. Any other man.

But its not Hasmukh. 😭
