It was a dark and stormy night, violent gusts of wind swept up the empty streets of Ahmedabad. Thunder was deafening, and the lightning lit up the sky every few seconds, casting eerie shadows on the trees.
Anupama, Anuj and Choti Anu were travelling home that evening after a long day full of joy however due to the extreme weather conditions they decided to stay at Shah House for the night as it was close by.
The Shah family were all sitting down together in the main room observing the weather and the eeriness of the night.
Suddenly they saw Anu, Anuj and CA entering the house
Baa: Anupama tum yaha, kaise aana hua
Anu: Haan Baa, actually we have decided to stay here for the night due to the extreme weather conditions hope you all don’t mind
Bapuji: Nahi nahi Beta humein koi pareshani nahi hai ye ghar bhi toh tumlogo ka hai
Anu and her family entered Shah house they sat down for a while and then had their dinner. Suddenly the lights went out!
Vanraj: Oh dear looks like the power has gone out.
Toshu: Papa apparently the power will be back in the morning.
Baa: Oh well it doesn’t matter everyone has eaten anyway so I think it’s time we call it a day and retire to our rooms.
Vanraj: Yes Baa is right, come with me Anupama, Anuj I’ll show you your room
Anu: Theek che, Goodnight everyone see you all tomorrow
Anu and her family went to their room so did the rest of the Shah family and very soon everyone went to sleep.
Ding* the clocked struck 3. It was 3am the hour of the supernatural.
Anupama suddenly fell a chill down her spine and woke up. She felt as if something stroked her.. She reached to drink some water however the jug was empty. Anu got up and went to the kitchen to fill up the jug.
As she was walking towards the she saw something sprint by however she thought it was a fly and ignored it.
Anu went to the kitchen filled the jug with water and left to go to her room. However, she saw something.. something on the jhula with a bright light emanating from it. Her heart was pounding as she took each step towards the jhula. By the time she reached the jhula there was nothing there, Anu was puzzled as she was sure she saw something but she decided to ignore as it was very late and she was tired.
However, as she turned back she suddenly heard ‘AANNUUUUUUUU’
Anupama screamed in horror, the jug fell on the floor and shattered. Anu could not believe what had just happened.
All of a sudden she glared at the spirit and was flabbergasted and could not believe who she saw.
She stuttered ‘Moti Baa’! She was surprised to see Moti Baa after all these years in a ghost form.
Moti Baa: Haan Anu mai hoon tumhari Moti Baa tum mujhe bhool toh nahi gayi na!
Anu: Nahi Moti Baa aisi baat nahi hai, actually I got shocked seeing you like this.
Btw what are you doing here at this time.
Moti Baa: My darling I am here to congratulate you on your udaan don’t you remember the dreams we shared together. Finally you shall embark on your journey haina.
Anu: I’m sorry to disappoint you Moti Baa but I will not be able to go to America again as I can’t leave my young daughter all alone. I hope you understand and will agree that being a mother is the most important duty.
Moti Baa: Silence you fool do you think I’m stupid I am a ghost I know everything that goes on in your lives. I just wanted to hear this from your mouth. I cannot believe that you have disappointed me yet again!
I thought the hurdle between your dreams were my fellow family members but no the actual hurdle is you! You are the hurdle in your life.
Anu: Nahi Moti Baa aisa nahi hai please try to understand me.
Moti Baa: Never! And now you face my wrath for turning me against my family members when I was alive! Get here now!
Anu: Nahi Moti Baa please spare me!
Anu ran away as fast as she could and left Shah house to escape the spirit though the vicious spirit ran after her screaming.
As Anu ran past the streets of Ahmedabad, she didn’t notice the nearby ditch and fell in this. The vengeful spirit also appeared and got its huge arms out ready to grab Anu.
Moti Baa: Bye bye Anu time to take a well rested break… IN MY BELLY.
Anu: Nahi Moti Baa please forgive me please spare meeeeee….
Anuj: Anu Anu wake up what is wrong what are you chanting?
Anu: Huh what happened where am I.
Anuj: Don’t you remember we stayed at Shah house for the night due to the extreme weather conditions.
Anu: Oh yes how could I forget anyways come on we need to get ready and leave for our home don’t we.
Anuj: Are you ok Anu you seem very frightened.
Anu: No it’s nothing I just saw a nightmare I’ll be fine anyways let’s have our breakfast before Baa scolds us.
As Anu got up she saw a paper that said ‘shuddhosi buddhosi niraniano'si samsaramaya parivarjito 'si’ written in blood Anu dropped the paper and screamed as she knew that she’d receive a nasty shock in Kapadia house…..
