Today I saw many tweets justifying Maidmaa's unhealthy obsession with her ex sasural as "conditioning". Sorry but I am not gonna buy this crap theory coz apparently it's her pure biasedness which places filthy Shahs on higher pedestal over decent Kapadias. For example:-

Doormat's "Bade Bhagwaan hote hain" applies only to pyaari Baa not Anuj' kaka. She will eat anyone alive if they dare utter a word against her Baa but never took a stand for Kaka whenever Baa insulted him.

Maidmaa is a doting mother who can go to any length to protect her children but only her biological children are entitled to her love and concern not CA. Baa can abuse her as much as she wants.

She is a responsible and caring wife but only to Vanraj not Anuj. She left him during the toughest phase of his life but still stands like a rock with her ex, lends emotional support and doesn't let anyone point finger at him.

She kept mum despite knowing Vanraj was trapping Malvika to usurp Kapadia empire.

She is arrogant, rude and misbehaving with AB-BB but never gives the same treatment to Shahs. I am not justifying their deeds but are they even worse than Shahs? At least AB genuinely cares for Anuj as of now....

So for me it's not conditioning but sheer hypocrisy.

The mentality and upbringing of a traditional woman like Anupama means that she will always be attached to Vanraj for a lifetime. She was raised with the motive of looking after family and especially the husband. Adjustment, sacrificing and letting go comes to her naturally, regardless of whatever he does because she never visualised a future or life without him, until a couple of years ago. And it will take her a long time for her to change.

It was not just about the cheating, she invested 25 years of her life in the home she built with Vanraj and she was/is still not educated and empowered enough, to take a stand for herself and give that up, unlike an independent, working woman of today. For that matter, even Kinjal who is such a woman, is still shown to be staying with Paritosh though she has ample options not to, and move out herself. And they have barely been together for a while.

Anuj can never be in the same breath as Vanraj for her. Keeping aside that he is a highly fantastical and unrealistic presence, the time she spent with him can't match up to the more than two decades of marital life with Vanraj. This is not to say that her life with Vanraj was great but from her perspective it was bliss. Moreover, there is no particular family to bind her with Anuj, which is crucial for a person like her, for whom family is paramount. So yes, Anuj is similar to a rebound and will never have the same status as Vanraj because the depth of emotions and attachment can't be compared.

Well analyzed!

Even after her marriage with anuj this baa bhagwan cursed anupama that she will never be happy as how dare she be happy when her good for nothing trashraj is unhappy .

Vanraj the ache pita who never respected anupama, manipulated her in not going to America for her career , then cheated on her, said she smells like masala's, tried to again manipulate her when she was about to get married to anuj and then even after her marriage to anuj he still lusted after her as now he didn't want kavya but anupama ( anupama knows this as trashraj offered her to come back to his life when anuj went to picnic with maya and choti anu)

How can anupama so easily forgive them? Are the above crimes that small or am i thinking too much? How can baa be pyaari when she can easily curse anupama? How can a man ( sorry my bad he is not a man) so how can a person who cheated on her physically and now cheating emotionally on his second wife kavya be so easily forgiven?

Heights of Insanity really

No, I don't think you are over thinking. It is not easy to forgive in general, leave alone the long term abuse and infidelity. The person at the receiving end may feel slightly better if get an apology or see the other person regretting. That is why we see her melting & start taking Baa's side when Baa apologizes to her. In the end, self-respect triumphs everything. She doesn't have an ounce of it. Period.

The cordial relationship she has V is unfathomable, I am glad this is a fiction. In reality, nobody is (I hope) like her.

One more thing that is beyond me is that Baa gave her a baddua when she saw her happy with Anuj and CA. She cursed her in the sidelines and gave her a baddua directly to her face. And right after that, their whole family fell apart. So one, makers want to portray that someone as vile as Baa's badduas will come true when she curses really good people? And second. not once does Anupama think that Baa was the one who wished her bad and all this happened? I think we are all supposed to refresh our memory each episode, forget everything that's happened in the past and watch episode by episode, since they change characters, situations and equations with each passing day.

You are right as with this baddua coming true they are as usual passing on a very regressive and wrong msg to the society and they never had consistency in any of their characters traits till now
