Dialogues can definitely be written better and IMO track can be better executed too.

Not to forget that Anuj was the sole carer of CA as her foster father time and again when Anupama was too busy at the Shahs. I don't see what's changed here except the city.

Yes, I am surprised and disappointed by some of the comments here. Anuj was her foster father for a while. He loves her as a daughter. Maya also knows this as she had secretly observed them for a while with CA.

How on earth is this creepy? Just because he is a guy? Anupama doing it would be ok as she was a woman?

Sexism is sexism in any form even if its against guys and sexism should always be called out in any form. Finding a father being alone with his daughter creepy is sexism

Not to mention, we don't know Maaya's real intentions or if she has ulterior motives and who can prove she wouldn't exploit CA whether or not she's the bio mother. There are no guarantees that women are safe guardians either.

If it was not creepy before why would it be creepy now?

1) Either it was creepy all the time - a guy can never be alone with a girl even if its his daughter.

Or

2) just because of legality, it suddenly became creepy for him to be alone with the girl he was the father of before and who he considers his daughter

Both seems nonsense to me.

I think I had additional which i now think is half thought out fact that Anuj is going to be at a friend's flat. Do the friends stay there ? What kind of people are they ?

Can Maaya trust Anuj enough to be around her with his friends ?

It was just odd for him to say it once and then say it again to reinforce his thought to Maaya.

And this certainly looms around with the Maa meter that was used to decide is Maaya was the bio mother.

Yes...this too I'd thought of.

I do realise the way Anuj has proved himself, it's like a given that he won't let anything happen to her in his friend's place too.

I don't have any issues with the character of Anuj in a safety sense, I doubt anyone has actually; so I'm trying to understand what it was about the dialogue that struck me - it could be my bias where I'm subconsciously relating it to a real-world scenario, but I feel it's an understandable fear to have.

But yes, within the context of the show, I understand it can simply be seen at face value.

I feel Anuj should have clarified, Maaya was NOT welcome to his flat, she could send CA with some attendent/ caretaker. parents do employ baby sitters for young children, even Maaya must be planning one since she is single n earns her own living.

Precisely what I had in my mind . If Anuj is a true gentleman, he needs to understand insecurities of a mother too.

For the moment, I prefer they both just keep this connection as co-parents of Choti Anu. I do trust Anuj not to do anything to CA but what about his friend that thought would be back of my mind?. Until Anuj can get himself together, his own place, I would allow it.

I would ask that Anuj to give me info on his friend so I could do background check on him as my child is my responsibility before I send Ca to visit him there.

Maya should have a talk with her kid about right and wrong touch not because of Anuj being not her bio-parent but in general.

As a mother, I regret not having done it with mine. Thankfully nothing of this sort happened. The era I raised my kids in it wasn't much talked about this stuff with your kids. Every parents in every culture, religion, background needs to have conversation with their kids about the right and wrong touch now days.

My pov:

I think in reality no one will send their kid alone to any adults house where they live alone. Be it a man or a woman. I would have had the same comment to make if Anupa had asked Maya to send CA to her alone. Sadly, today's world of crime makes it difficult to believe anyone. Reason why parents tend to be over cautious.

On that note, as parents I don't think Anuj or Anupa were cautious. If my daughter comes home talking continuously about some woman she met somewhere, I would have multiple alarm bells ringing in my head. Plus, I would never trust my mamta meter(which I truly lack) when it comes to my kid.
