Anupamaa - An abject failure

Since the virtues of this fake goddess 🤢 are extolled on a daily basis and today it has been said that even god can be blamed but not her, let's recount some of them:

As daughter- never cared about her mother or listened to her advice, asked her to leave because she would rather stay with abusive ex in laws. Most importantly gave away her status to someone else

As sister - When does she remember that she has a brother? Or that he has a son?

As daughter-in-law - She was more of a slave. Never stood up for her rights or got any kind of respect. Even after divorce she kept pandering to their nonsense. She has always been an unpaid maid not a bahu

As mother - One look at the three defective Anuraj products is enough, she raised absolutely worthless badly brought up kids who are liars, cheats and manipulators. They have adulted but are still dependant on her for every small thing. Don't even want to get started on the so called parenting with CA

As mother-in-law - completely ruined the life of Crinjal by making her next gen AnupaMaid who is stuck with a hopeless husband and serving shameless shahs. Same will be repeated with Dimpy though she is useless herself

As wife - she was mistreated when with Vanraj and more of a slave than a partner. But then she became the Vanraj in her next marriage. Always ignored her husband and prioritised him last. Let him be abused and manipulated by self proclaimed maayka at will

As friend - selfish to the core. she only remembers Devika when in need and did not even defend her against mawaali jhuli's verbal abuse

Talking about professional ventures is even more of a joke - left the teaching job so easily which she had regained via a reference, then cooked in abusive in laws phatichar kephe which closed down soon, dence academi is a joke - she never goes there, she does not even remember the hotel/restaurant and various ventures with Anuj though she got partnership and responsibility based on his love. But she can't even read or understand basic documents and was more interested in love lapaata than seriously learning in the 3 month course. Basically, not one long term achievement on her own.

She doesn't know to how to speak or dress well. Never took a stand for herself and is allergic to self respect. Now she needs others to blame and save her marriage. Rather than doing good for those who genuinely cared for her, she wilfully ignored them to slave for abusers instead. She is not someone young but approaching 50 and has had a lot of time, experience and opportunities to do better but squandered everything and wasted the chances she kept getting. In short, a spectacular failure in all senses. Her name should be changed to Asafalta

Of course not. I would never bet on this woman changing. Why would she? Being this Anupama has gotten her the life she never imagined and now can’t live without.

Most importantly, people feel sorry for her and what she has been through. Mostly her own creations.

Why change for the better? What if the better Anupama isn’t liked? Has to depend on herself to live? What will she do? How will she survive? Who will hold her hand to help her cross the street?

This Anupama has family who still need her to be their maker even after divorcing the husband while the 2nd wife doesn’t mind at all.

Think about it this way. What other 2nd wife would put up with Anupama coming in and out of their house as if she was still the queen of the house? Only Kavya allows it. Kavya respect her. Possibly out of guilt.

But no other woman would allow Anupama this access everyday. Anupama isn’t changing she will continue be who she is visit her ex in-laws house daily under the disguise of seeing my kids and grandchild and bapuji. Her true love, Pati is there.🥰

Keeping aside her Anuglish, it was said that she was in college only for a year or some months and then had to drop out because she got married. Subsequently her loving and caring maayka did not let her finish her education because a married woman's place is in the kitchen as per them. But even after she got out of the oppressive marriage she was least interested in completing it. She took the 3 month phinance course as some sort of recreation to relive college days with the namesake husband 🤣

All of your observations are spot on 👏It is the wasted opportunities she's had that are maddening. The could have / should have but didn't because of the choices she actively made. How is a viewer expected to feel for such a person. Her constant mei mei mei bleating drives my goat loving IPK heart mad!

The fundamental point of what defines goodness has never been thought through by the writers either. Or if it has, they have done a brilliant job of hiding it 🙄 Then there is the whole divinity parallels they ram down our throats. There's nothing about her that speaks of a higher calling in action, speech or thought.
