If we fall on road while walking for 3 days we will be in bed saying leg bleeding or cut here there or scar here but this woman dimple has been gang raped by unknown men husband has ran off leaving her and it looks shes come to her chacahji house and with relatives dancing and enjoying at cousins wedding preparations

This serial is making ligght of every serious issue in life be it anupama abuse by in laws and hubby, be it toshu ema, Malvika maritial rape or colleague taking advantage of a depressed woman or a 6 year old orphan kid being mocked by adopted family mayka etc

The writer neither has conscience nor sensitivity to write on any woman issue leave alone gang rape or maritial rape issues which are like truly required as many such inscidents are brushed apart under carpet

Atleast anupama should have followed damini script where someone close to anuj or anupama would get raped and they fight for justice that would atleast have made the situation authentic and may be writer would write this issue sensitively.

A gang rape victim will first never go from hospital for weeks and get counselling session everyday. Without court pemission no stranger like anupama can get home at will. A court permission required as anuj not related to dimple. Hows he taking custody of rape victim because they may be abuser supporters in guise of helpers? Do you think judge and police will just let anyone stranger take a gang rape victim home. Who knows how they will treat her what protection is there etc? First anuj should apply in court for custody of dimple he cannot get a victim home like that. They go to women rehab center not to anyones home apart from a parent or relative.

If there is threat police protection is approved by court and kept in a woman center not with another family to land that family in trouble like happening to anupama. Further where are dimple paents whats their reaction? Where is her brother sister in village? What is villagers reactions? Show all this

If Nimrith loved her so much to run away with her why he left her with strangers and vanished. Which lover or hubby behaves so? Yes in india men leave GF or wife is gan raped. But not all men. In india usually law is weak and more on those who are rich and powerful side so its mostly parents, relatives, friends who help gang rape victims than a police or administration. Strangers run far away from rape victims in india 99% times no one helps like anupama anuj. So where are her parents or siblings? Do they also abondon her? Where is woman morcha head or team? Not visited her?

It was better dimple was related to anuj or anupama so more impact and seriousness was shown by the writers and director. Now gang rape alo trivialized her like as if its nothing at all. Gang rape victim is dancing 2nd day of rape is this a joke going on?

This serial has trivialized gang rape after maritial rape of Malvika and office sexual trapping and cheating by vanraj which are all grave crimes in rest of world. but in asia except 2-3 countries its all trivialized just like this serial. And victim only gets blamed and attacked.

Even a 5th class student would write gang rape issue more sensitively than the writer here. Sad but true

The laws in India have many many more provisions v/s the rest of the world, in many cases they are far more progressive (Take abortion laws for instance or a woman's fundamental right to vote); but how on earth is one to prove them?!

Fear and Power are important factors influencing society's quest for justice.

Trust me globally, we are a patriarchal society and prejudices are present Everywhere in the world.

When one reads the percentage of teenage parents or women experiencing assault in the western world per capita, it is far more.

It is just that Indians are a spread out population and hence the world gets to hear news of crimes in India more.

Now coming to the portrayal in The show. That is best said as Dismissive.

I can't remember of any show in recent times that has portrayed sensitive topics delicately and with responsibility.

Showing the correct legal procedure and available tools at your disposal in such heinous crimes would help society isn't it?

I agree. The writers and the show drags stupid conversation , non stop festive celebration and petty things for weeks but important issues are fast forwarded.

In this topic they had to give dimple a week to show her mental healthy, emotions, pain, family, anxiety fear, strength,relationship with Nimrit but no in 1 episode she was back in KH and we are back to Anupamaa bashaan and Anupamma strength and she and V again on opposite side.

Even like yesterday when CA is back, God she is back after being away for so many days. She is 6-7 yrs old..you want to hug them, love them ,feed them ,meet them with the new person. How can u start abt good touch bad touch right then when she just entered 5 mins back. It's a long conversation to sit down,talk to them , listen to them, explain them, read a book . Just coz its haunting you , u throw it down to a kid right then when she is in different state of mind.But since the writers wanted to be woke and bring good touch bad touch so just added it in 1 min. They rush important stuff and drag stupidity.

Why show Anuj billionaire when they can't be realistic. Imagine a billionaire family witnessing this, won't police give them extra protection ? Won't there be guards with them ? Won't indian media behind them? I don't see one body guard with these ppl. Anything happen to Anuj is big loss for the company, they can't take it lightly and travel in auto. Even goons know whom to pressurize, they won't give threats to billionaire instead would have gone to dimple parents.

The writers should stick to their same old nonsense baa anupamaa vanraj pakhi toshu. Just recycle them.

True we have too many laws but are they really implemented. Even most educated woman in city will not dare go to police station alone to log a complaint even of rape. At least in US or UK woman have no such fear to go into police station

Even women centers or destitute centers are a joke in india or most asian countries, the women there are abused live in fear of authority there. Its not like most live happy comfortable in woman centers mostly built to give shelter to Dimple kind of woman who have no one right now. If anuj anupama did not get her and Nimrit left her, her parents refuse to take her in fear of society where would such a woman go after hospital? Atleast in west woman do not have to fear all this. There law do protect mostly if not family.

Only very brave hearts will go and report in first place in india. Even girl parent hush up most matters in ghar ki izzat fear or society fear or backlash by accused family.

I truly wished all this was shown in anupama instead of dimple dancing on 2nd day. Its so unnatural a young girl alone in stranger home dancing after gang rape less than 48 hours before. Even in USA no raped woman will be dancing although shes at her parents home and support from full society. They must show something realistic actually so that people learn some lessons

Well, I may not fully agree to that, anyway, be that as it may.

There are 2 points here right.

1. Societal Acceptance, Reporting the crime

2. Law enforcement

3. Justice delivered

I completely agree, Societal Acceptance of a victim, is much higher in the west.

This will take time but there is increasing awareness around this.

Execution of laws is a problem. If the population is as big as ours, the problem magnifies.

USA and UK, the landmass (area) is many times higher for a population that is many times lower. Furthermore, they have a larger law enforcement (Police, judges) workforce per citizen than India.

One would like to believe that with an airtight Ecosystem where the police is approachable, there is a faster judicial process, there is fear of consequences, crime rate would be lower, isn't it?

Still, the crime rates per capita in these places is higher.

Regarding rate of Justice delivered, this is directly linked to the population and hence the workforce and hence the backlog.

So many celebrities from the west have been open about harassment. Oprah Winfrey for instance. Or the MeToo movement. How many have actually been convicted?

It is not easy to prove in court. If this is coupled with money and muscle power, that much harder.

I have frankly given up on this show as it is designed to make any and every topic about Anupamaa's greatness.

Real empowerment would have been that a woman like Anupamaa is viewing new things in life as a spectator and a keen learner. But NO, the makers keep showing that as soon as Anupamaa watched the VanYa exposition, she had the ultimate level of knowledge showered on her and now she is a person who is aware of and woke about everything and will give her own kind of solution to everything instead of a logical one.

Therapy is such a MAJOR aspect of women recovering from sexual assault because they are prone to depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and destructive behavior. I had helped a woman in my neighbourhood who was just having a rape-attempt and still she underwent six months of government approved therapy and any other doctor (even female) could touch or talk to her ONLY after getting approval from the police affiliated doctor, because the victim herself is also evidence and they cannot risk any doctor performing any non-approved activity on her, even giving her fever medicine.

But just one dance with Anupamaa is enough to heal Dimple.

In our case there were so many visits from the police that it was overwhelming for both the woman's family and us neighbours. In Anupamaa, the police have practically disappeared and left Dimple to fend for herself.

And THE GLARING BOTCH-UP of news channel revealing names of people involved in the incident. Anuj could have and should have sued them for this. Yes the victim names were not shown but witness names need as much privacy. And Nimrit left Dimple because the media was talking about the issue too much, but how is it possible unless they are revealing names illegally?? Nobody reveals ID details of people involved in such cases without their consent.

But how would have we seen Anupamaa as a survivor if she was not shown fighting a major risk?

And what can we expect from a show which is too shy to even use ths word rape and is replacing it with molestation.

They have literally made a joke....it was so cringe hearing Anupama sing out of the blue....jeete hain chal...and all the aartis, shankhnaads, poetries ....My God......and their only aim is to show Anupama more mahaan as if it is even possible.....

They had dedicated full 4 episodes for Anupama's Bhasan during Pakhi's wedding...but here they are just rushing things....like little Anu came back from her camp...and Mahan Devi ji starts on her good touch...bad touch bhashan....that should in itself been 1 full episode.....you don't start preaching such serious stuff to kids just like that...maybe they are rushing because they need to get everything normal so that everyone can dance during New Year's party...😳
