Even Alpaviram on Sony, that is mainstream television, 2 and half decade ago had a fiancé who despite parental pressure stuck by and was supportive. Her support system were her grandparents. So it was not like older generation cannot be progressive, sensitive and supportive. It was a show that held maturity in treatment and execution of a sensitive topic and was ahead of its time. But that era was of limited episode shows that did not drag storyline just for drama.

Yes , I remember the show ....Many shows of 90s and early 2000 handled social issues like EMA , adoption , sexual abuse , DV etc but they concentrated on one or two issue at a time and handled it properly and gave it proper conclusion . Nowhere have I seen this khichdi of all issues , just for the heck of earning accolades for giving social msgs and dragging on a series endlessly.

Purpose of Mukku track was basically to give SS to hero and make him Bada Aadmi and to show FL as mahaan ie she would be with Anuj even if he was gareeb.

N add some nonsense flaws to the more popular side Hero’s character like parents’ death , sisters marriage disaster and her DV sufferings etc .

What it ended up doing ( besides irreversibly damaging TRPs) is that it permanently destroyed 2 characters who audiences felt connected with - Anuj and Mukku . Mukku’s character was so terribly written but it’s amazing how ppl still remember her storyline and want to see her back , credit also goes to Aneri . But she has steadfastly refused to return as Mukku in the show post her appearance during Maan wedding .
DKP thinks we should forget entire Mukku chapter like we forgot Jhilmil or Anupamaa’s cancer but unfortunately it’s not happening...

They want to keep Anuj rich so that they can keep repeating property kaand and rich vs Poor Shah house difference everytime they run out of storyline ...yet they want to show FL as mahaan , middle class , suffering grehani ...

Ab suffering ke liye 2-4 accidents and husband paralysis ho Gaya , baa’s tane have also finished , her kids have also tortured her enough ... so adding all this
SA track just to keep storyline going

I haven't watched Sreemoi so idea about that track... but our writers main concentration and motto in this serial is Festivals and their importance... and more over how to celebrate even if you are financially unstable..
