I would say its not only daughter in law versus daughter treatment

Like in one of my auntys mayka, daughters were treated as second class and called outsiders by parents and brothers always on face. Even brothers wifes misbehaved with daughter and her kids in mayka if they went parent home. .

Even daughters kids were not treated properly if they went nana nani house. Like sons kids would get jam butter ghee not daughters kids

Compared to that son his wife and kids were treated royally by her parents

So i would never say all daughter in laws are treated bad but daughters great at parent home.

Because they consider daughter as paraya dhan so they will not spend much money on her education before and also treat her and her kids badly if she come to mayka

In india before especially previous generations its daughter who faced lot of discrimination and humilation compared to a bahu or sons wife

Because a son wife has to take care of in laws in old age she was treated very nicely by parents

Nowadays last 20-30 years the situation is changing, sons also leave house after marraige. Parents have to depend on daughters or son in laws many times for money or help in sickness. So in lat 20 to 30 years daughters are getting more respect by parents compared to before 1990s and 2000s.

I was referring to the way Barkha's character has shaped up.

The background mentioned is of college lovers who marry. Both from well-off background.

Kapadia's are shown as being progressive but failed to appreciate their own family members. Barkha has felt alienated.

Even Anuj's subtle warnings do not add up to his initial statements of how she was a buddy-Bhabhi.

That does not add up.

Adhik's sudden transformation does seem suspect to me. I feel like Pakhi is too air headed for him. This guy is educated and watching their scenes I never really understood what he even sees in Pakhi.

It would be a good plot twist if Adhik used this new leaf act just to get into Anuj's business/earn his trust and then dump them on the streets. And then he would also dump Pakhi because he never really loved her and was sick of her entitlement.

No doubt so called acche pita will suddenly grow another heart for entitled daughter and try to defend her. And then Adhik can give Shahs a long overdue reality check. Remind them just how hypocritical they are. And would very much love if he does not show any compassion or have an actual change of heart. Let Shahs and even Sabki MAA cry over their misery.

Has anuj ever given his sister any responsibility like anupama or trusted her not much

Hes greatful for her parents so gave kapadiyas to her otherwise anuj never bothered like 10 years let me get my sister home give her treatment for depression and give her job in kapadiyas or guide her much. Also it was his fault of marrying her to that brute hubby without any verification and forcing her away from her love. He never felt any much remorse or responsibility to set Malvika life better is it not? Same way ankush felt about barkha too that let her handle house and kids i will work etc Education and modern dressing does not makeyou modern. Many IT professionals still take dowry or want wife to give their salary to them. They may work and liv in USA or UK that does not make their thinking modern its still patrichial. USA itself is men oriented actually not appointed one woman president.

No matter how educated a woman was till 2000s she never got economical freedom or responsibility decision making for house was with men. Like they show vanraj and anuapma relation for 25 years. Vanraj anupama was extreme end of abuse bbut other woman too faced some extent of abuse and no freedom like barkha in most educated and modern looking family. Even sisters look at diff between how malvika is treated by anuj as if she never exists to the pampering pakhi gets from brothers or family or even anuj calling her pakhu and maskafying her. People who are not born before 2000s will not truly realize how much more liberal society is towards woman both at home and office compared to before. This is true of USA and india too. Even in USA primary role of woman is to take care of house and kids while men are busy in hi flying careers.

Its only now after 2000s that girls are allowed much more to study BBE/MBBS/CA etc careers in IT industry etc travel world on projects etc more in number. Still in USA only 25% woman are in STEM or science in india its 40 to 45%. But jobs in STEM is given only to 20% women although 45% have that qualification or education. So still bias exist for women.

As per bollywood life article pakhi leaves adik and marries an aged 40 plus man for money

Do not keep high hopes that adhik will teach shahs or pakhi any lesson its other way

pakhi will teach adhik who are real shahs

Ugh. Just saw that. If there any truth to this article then the makers have gone mad. They squander every opportunity to showcase an actual good story and instead keep glorifying these horrible Shahs. Just fed up of this Shah drama. Show ka naam Anupama se change karke 'So called Acche Pita and Unki Adarshwadi Family' rakh dena chahiye

Question though:

Pakhi-Adhik stay right opposite Shahs.

Say Adhik, well intentioned to correct Pakhi, even raises his voice, what will happen?

I am sure Shahs along with Anupama will regain ALL lost love and ask Adhik to apologise instead. Anyway, this is not the first time.

After 2 good episodes, hopes ran high for a Recovery. But well!!!!!!!
