Indian television today really is down the drains

Hi All,

Back to the forum after a year or more. Started during the lockdown ( as we all had more more time on our hands then) and left once things went back to normal( back to work). I used to be kinda active on the Udaariyan forum as I had just started watching that during covid. I obviously left in a few months. Couldn't tolerate it anymore. M not an avid watcher of Indian television. But I do come across some as they pop up on my insta now and then. I had heard all about this show being the number one n all.

So I read up on the story and now I on and off watch snippets on insta.

I really am appalled!! Hehe.

What the hell is happening on this show...and m sure many more like these? What below average content is this? What really are these so called writers of the show trying to tell to the audience?

That it is okay for kids like pakhi and that Tosh or something to behave like that ...really the audacity of those characters. When will they stop making Anupama the ever righteous mother who takes all that bullshit from those ungrateful shameless good for nothing free loaders. It really is hard to believe that in today's age that Tosh is not working...that a spoilt brat like pakhi is getting her way even with someone like Anuj. I mean there is a limit to take an amount of crap from someone. This whole saga of a mother's love for her child even tho the child is like pakhi ... sorry, i aint buying that. Why do I feel like anupama has no self respect..i could be wrong but that is what I hv been feeling after seeing her reactions. You may be a mother but you are a woman too...and you should never ever let someone...even your child behave like that with you. Period.

Today... realistically children like pakhi and Tosh would be thrown out of their parents houses and will( if their is one). And that is exactly what should be done to these good for nothing pylons. Why are they showing the parents taking so much crap from these losers? Is this the message they are trying to give? Like you insult and hurt us but we will still love you. What a load of crap!

P.s- this was my rant after seeing a clip of pakhi behaving like a proper brat. I do hv better words for her but let's just say i like to be civil.

Television worldwide has got the same fate.

No wonder webseries and online content is gaining momentum.

It is definitely not about growing because the old shows on the same channels showed quality content, some of them dealing with sensitive issues with such finesse and maturity.

Somewhere we were spoilt for choices and now here we are!
