Good post. While I am not in favour of blaming only the mother for badly raised kids and brats, I cannot blame Vanraj on the hypocrisy. He has accepted many times he has failed as a father to Toshu and Pakhi, I haven’t heard him claiming pride on his upbringing either, whereas half of AnupaMAA’s claim to fame is her being good mommy who entire life served her kids fresh cold coffee and burger (or whatever that was) or any other items they ordered fresh from the maid’s oops AnupaMAA’s kitchen. With products like Toshu and Pakhi I dont know how Anupama can even participate in the discussions of good mothers with actual good mothers like Rakhi or Dolly or even Barkha. So I wont even go there 😆. I would put her into the leagues of Khalnayak movie Rakhi Gulzar or Vaastav movie Rima Lagu’s league. And as far as I remember, neither of them had the guts to give her LONGGGG earsplitting bhashans like Anupama does on how to raise a kid.

Pakhi’s problem is not sudden. It’s not very out of character. In fact hers is the most consistent character of the show. When we have a problem child, we really take time out to work on that specific kid through special treatment, therapy or spending more time etc. This problem is not very uncommon also. One of my closest relatives moved to another city to have a better control on her child during these crucial teenage-turning-adult years, ALONE. Yes, a good parent does take drastic steps if they are serious about it. Anupama had power and opportunity to work on these in last 2 yrs. She chose to focus on continuing her loyalty towards Shah family by making gujiya, doing houseworks and insulting people who’d insult Shah family. Along with offering Anuj a place in her house, had she also thought of her responsibility towards working on Pakhi by making her stay with her for 1-2 days a week, may be we could see the effort.

At the end, Pakhi was continued to be brat, and now has landed as a potential socialite like the likes of ‘Bollywood housewives’. Yuck. Can we expect to see in this show that this nature of dropping out of college to become a housewife is absolutely loathing and that nothing good comes out of it ???

Pakhi has never faced consequences of her actions. In the past whenever she made any mistake, all she had to do was behave cute and say sorry and i love my family. Anupamaa always came to her rescue. She will never become a well functioning adult if this doesn't stop.

Its very clear that for so long we blamed Vanraj, but its clearly Anupama spoiling her daughter

Vanraj wants to punish, Anupama wants to forgive and spoil

No child will learn lessons like this

Anupama has proven to be a bad wife with Anuj, now she clearly is a bad mother

Sometimes I think what are her achievements as a mother, elder son is cheating, middle son is a hopeless mamas boy and daughter is a spoilt, disrespect brat. All her bhaashan and jaap of 'mai maa hu' has nothing to show.

Also when her adopted daughter, who is actually a little kid and needs support unlike her adult children, is abused in front of her, she keeps quiet and says nothing. Even the worst moms are better than this "maa"

So vanraj is very much responsible in spoiling his children pakhi and toshu kid kyonki power uske saath mein thi woh chahe to apne power se bachon ko control kar sakta tha magar usne nahi Kiya

Vanraj k favorite kids (pakau pakhi tacky toshu) turned out to be horrible horrible human beings

Whereas anupama's favorite kid (sweet samar) turned out to be much better

Yup pakhi and toshu might use To thought ki mummy hamara kya kar lengi both pakhi and know that ki mummy hamara khuch nahi bigaad sakti agar unhe Hume thappad lagaya to papa mummy ko Ghar se hi Bahar nikaal denge.

Both pakhi knew mummy hamara khuch nahi kar sakti tabhi to mummy ke saath itni batammji karne ki Himmat hui

Anupama ki parenting us Tarah ki thi bacha padhai mein to bahut intelligent Hota Hai but agar use ke pass financial crisis hai islye aage padh nahi paaya

Same happen with ANUPAMA Uski parenting jaroor achi thi bus use power nahi Mila,

Anupama ki parenting mein kami hoti to samar bhi aaj spoil brat Hota

Agreed, anupama never got the power of authority to scold or teach her children. Vanraj always insulted her so they BOTH thought it's normal to insult your mother. They didn't respect her even 1% aur jiski respect nahi karte unki baat mayene bhi nahi rakhti. Vanraj in an attempt to be a great dad (and make anupama away from kids) spoilt them in each possible way. Samar turned out to be a human who saw her mother suffering and didn't obligate to vanraj.
