Even those student who studied in English medium those student also finding to difficult to pronounce simple English word

Bahut logon ko apna mooh poora kholne mein dikkat hoti Hai English mein khuch word aise hote hai jisme mooh kholna Hota hai but some people find it difficult to open mouth properly so they can't pronounce properly even if they want to .

Ek baar vanraj ko anupama se poocha chahiye tha ki tum sorry word kyon nahi bol paa rahi ho .anupama ko speech therapist ke pass le jaate

But no instead of helping anupama he just mock anupama pronunciation and apnr achi English hone ka ghamand dikhata tha

Anupama ko mooh kholne mein koi taklif nahi, use to mooh bandh na rakh pane ki taklif hai.

Uska mooh puri tarah se khulta hai, and actually it is other way around. Our languages are such that it is easier for us to be able to pronounce any other foreign language. While some other country natives cannot pronounce all the words from hindi language as their tongue cannot bend in a way to pronounce the word.

The real problem is Anupama does not want to correct herself or improve herself. Anytime someone tries to correct her, she either goes into victim mode or starts giving lecture.

I do not want to comment on Mr. Shah as he is still relevant for Anupama but not for me as he is her ex-husband so it does not matter what he thinks.

But when Anuj corrects Anupama's English that too very respectfully, Anupama cuts him off and gets upset with him. If she really wanted to progress and gain respect from her kids/Mr. Shah, then she should learn to accept her mistake/shortcomings and improve herself. Especially when she has Anuj who is supporting her and praising her like she is a queen.

P.S. I am not saying being able to speak good English can earn respect, I am suggesting above coz that is why sometimes her family insults her and her kids are raised with such shallow values/sanskars and her kids/Mr.Shah matter to her the most.

If she needs a speech therapist, she can go to the therapist herself. She is not a kid who needs to be escorted by an adult. Instead of rectifying what is wrong, she chooses to fry gujjiyas for the Shah household. Her priorities are thoroughly juxtaposed.

As Komal said above, bottomline is that she does not want to correct herself. That is not a priority for her.

Also, what's up with making a long face if Anuj says she doesn't know something? Does he have to keeping singing the same tune always - "tum sahi ho, tum galat ho hi nahi sakti..."

I am taking about vanraj .vanraj should take her to speech therapist .and how she can go to speech therapist all by herself during vanraj when she don't have money on her own to pay fees to speech therapist

And where it is shown that anupama don't want to correct herself

If that is the case if anupama don't want to correct herself how she is joining college and how she has said that she will try her best to learn

Anupama has shown eagerness to join college and even she has told that she will try her best to learn things that means she want to correct herself

And even anupama has accepted that mere andar bahut se flaws hai

So from where does conclusion come that anupama don't want to correct herself and just want to listen praised from Anuj?

And more anupama did not make long face because anuj said that u can't do this but she was sad because she can't help anuj in business in international level as she is not much educated

She was feeling guilty that she is not able to Lowe the burder of anuj in international level

Please watch the episode carefully and listen dialogue of anupama carefully why anupama was upset when anuj told anupama se nahi ho paayega

She has whole kapadia empire in her name now, she can go to speech therapist if she feels that is her problem. Mr. Shah is not her husband anymore so no point talking about him. Unless Anupama still thinks he is her family.

She said it herself that she feels bad coz of her lack of education and lack of english knowledge, her kids do not respect her. So to correct that, she can always hire an english tutor instead of shedding tears. let's show those ungrateful kids what a mother can do! Instead of just letting them insult u again and again.

She did not enroll herself on her own. It was Anuj who brought her admission form as soon as she mentioned about her feeling bad about being a college dropout. Even after that Anuj convinced her to join the course, so that proves Anupama does not work on progressing herself but always plays victim by crying about her shortcomings, like she cried when she mentioned this to all ladies during her getaway.

Also, I can also ask you to watch all the episodes carefully, but I will not because I am here to debate on the episodes and respect the difference of opinion. We all watch same show but can have a different interpretation of it. Here to respectfully discuss the show.

Just now watching Kaun Banega Crorepati and learnt about Azim Premji being a college dropout because of his father's sudden death. And he finished his graduation 30 years after. Now that is a progressive personality.

We all should focus on improving ourselves instead of justifying our shortcomings or defending our actions. That is the only way to progress. If one does not realize where he/she is wrong, how can he/she correct and go ahead in life?

When I am talking about when vanraj was husband of anupama that he should take anupama to therapist . So from where Kapadia come in between

And it is fact aaj Kal tutor log unhi ko padhana pasamd karte hai jinhe pehle se hi uske us subject ke baare mein achi knowledge ho

Tutor log anupama jaise log ko padhana hi nahi pasand karenge when she has problem in speaking sorry

From where I watched the episode it seemed to me that she was hurt by Anuj’s words. And of course Anuj didn’t say anything wrong. Like you Komal, I have done diploma in electronics and then BCA. Currently I am in software field and my brother has done mechanical engineering. He would make fun of me and I do the same.

I agree, Anupama does not want to improve her diction and pronunciation or atleast doesn’t put in any effort to improve. If someone correced my pronunciation once or twice I tend to make a conscious effort to pronounce it correctly the next time I use the word. The first time I saw the word jalapeño, I said it with J sound, as one usually tends to follow the written letter. But once someone corrected me and they werent rude about it, I started using the H sound. When Anupamaa’s children and Ravanraj have been correcting her to the point of being insulting, why wouldn’t she make a conscious effort to say it right.

Leave that in the past, saying her family was made up of uncouth people without basic manners or even a helpful nature. But now when Anuj corrects her, she gives him gyaan ‘yeh angreji sudharne ka tame hai kya, aapko samajh aa gaya na’. Lady, he did not correct you because he did not understand, he corrected you so that you learn the right pronunciation. If she doesn’t want to learn when Anuj respectfully corrects her and takes care that him correcting her does not hurt her, she has no right to play victim that her children disrespect and demean her as she is not fluent in English or she does not have a degree.

Not completing graduation was part of her family situation and lack of support in the past. She can start her education now, anytime if she wants it as her husband, daughter and current family will support her. Why does Anupamaa wait until someone else suggests, explains or forces her to do something. I would have liked it better if she has said to Anuj, I found this course at xyz place for xyz subject and I am enrolling or I want to enroll, the batch starts on xyz date. But she is doing this course as Anuj found it for her, it has no effort or input from her end. Anuj has always tried to find a solution to her problems and he did it once more. She may complete the cource and get the certificate, but her diction and pronunciation will depend solely on her effort and need to get the words right.

Yes it’s difficult to overcome years of wrongly learnt pronunciation. Also for people from back home, English is not the first language, we have our own vernacular and regional languages. To learn English or any other language, that is not your first language and to be fluent in it one needs to put an effort and practice. Listen to people if they correct you, to understand the pronunciation of words in daily use and if you want to learn it quicker or need more help, join a language class or hire a tutor. One needs to Identify the problem and find a solution based on one’s own requirement and the time one has to invest in improving oneself and not play the victim all the time. Anupamaa has been shown to google stuff up, Google gives pronunciation of words as well, if she didn’t have time to join an English speaking class using Google wouldn’t take time.
