Characters like Anupama and Kinjal are why Indian parents want boys

There I said it. Their potrayal is sickening. Both of them have completely abandoned their own parents and consider their in-laws as parents. Anupama at least spent decades at her in-laws but Kinjal has forgotten that her own mom carried her for 9 months and brought her up for years before her marriage and is in love with her mom in law who she has barely lived with

These women might be great wives, daughter in laws, mothers but are the worst daughters. God should not give such ehsaan faramosh children to any mother or father. The sons are shown to always look after their parents and daughters are shown to worship only their in laws

Then is it a wonder that the audience who see such shows then want male children who wont abandon them and only care about another family?

Bravo for saying it. I always despise those women who consider their sasural as their true homes. Yes, of course spouse and kids should be first priority but not at the expense of abandoning your birth parents. That's selfishness. AnupaMaa and Kinjal neglect their birth mothers but have immense love and respect for Baa who has only put them through misery. It gives out the message that if you have a son then you are set for life, as not only your son but also your daughter in law will dance to your tunes. Having daughters like Kinjal and Anu would feel like burdens to their parents. Enough is enough. Just send Kinjal to her mother's house and show Anu visiting her mom every week.

Something that is despicable about Kinjal’s behavior is her being a mute witness to everyone insulting her mother. She does not speak up or even feel uncomfortable when Shah family insults her mom. Baa goes on calling her names, mamaji’s innuendo jokes are in such poor taste.Those are completely uncalled for. Why doesn’t she object to it?

Keeping quiet/not standing up for her mom is encouraging the bad behavior by others. Kinjal may feel that her mother neglected her or feel inadequate, but that is a lame excuse to not stand up for her mom.Nobody deserves to be called names or treated like that over and over again.

I think subconsciously maybe this could impact, which is unfortunate 🤔 😕
