Physical need is not the problem here. The focus should be on Cheating. If one has a definite partner, girlfriend, fiance, spouse, pregnant or temporarily under treatment, it’s understood that it’s for a definite period. If a man cannot control his urges even for a definite period, it’s almost on the same line with a rapist who cannot control his urge in the moment ?

Everyone has physical need, and that is not the concern here, at least for me. And yeah I am an athiest, so this comparison with Radha Krishna really irks me. But yeah that’s my problem. 😆 Practically speaking, cheating is the main concern here.

Yes Anuj hasn't cheated on anyone. But how was he comfortable to get physical with other women when all his heart beats for just one person ? He dedicated himself fully to anupama. Calls her godess and himself as his bhakt. The so called devotee slept with innumerable women . I dint understand his love. It's ok if he had past flings but don't portray yourself as Meera type devotional lover . Be true to others and yourself. Maybe this is a loophole in the script i think.

Personally I don’t think his ONS can be compared at any level with Toshu’s coz Anuj was not in a committed relationship at all with Anu during that time . For him Anu during these years was a memory he could not let go of , in the first dream after which he gets panic attack he says to GK he never thought or hoped for any sort of relationship with her , so I don’t think it’s morally wrong either .
He might have tried to get over Anu with the ONS , the temple conversation that they had indicated that he genuinely tried to move on but it did not happen and he didn’t think it was fair to commit to someone when he knew he wouldn’t be happy . I think that’s fair ( as long as the women he had a ONS with were also aware that there may be no emotional attachment) . In fact I think in current times esp being in USA it was realistic scenario , showing him as a complete saint for 26 years , pining hopelessly for a long lost love would have been unrealistic...

The Mira , Kanhaji , Radha references should not be made in the show at all acc to me ..

But I have wondered why they have referred to it at all in the show that too at imp junctures ( the temple conversation and the time when they go to buy a ring ) .. Anu had also expressed bit of insecurity to Bapuji before saying yes to Anuj for marriage ( ideally of course the conversation should have been with Anuj , if not him Devika , why with that crackpot of all ppl ) ... I think it may be that makers have kept the possibility of Anuj’s past track open ... The adoption of CA kinda messes it up but I still feel it’s a track worth exploring, esp if handled well can actually help in getting the TRPs rather than the rinse- repeat cycle of Shah drama ...

Physical needs are as normal as any other need of human need.it is not important to have feelings before going for sex.sex is not related to love only.

There is difference between paritosh and anuj.paritosh cheated his wife when she was pregnant with his child.And anuj was a single man who was not being able to commit anyone .But there is nothing wrong if he was involved with any girl with her consent .

And one thing tm said is correct that is comparison with radha meera .let characters be human.there is no need of comparison with Devine figures.we are human with all human biological urges..

Actually it’s understandable at least to me. One can be dedicatedly in love with someone like Meera, especially when the God herself was not aware of his existence itself, but he chooses to fulfill physical needs outside. That is life. Happens many times in reality. 😆

Devotion is at soul/spiritual level. Sex doesn’t need to be confused or mixed in, as it’s as basic as hunger or thirst. Devotion can be segregated from that.

I may be factually incorrect here and don’t wish to offend anyone , as I said personally I feel these references should not be made at all ...
But might be that they are referring to love at a mental level , kind of spiritual connection and not in terms of physical needs . Bcz as per history , Mirabai did have a husband and even Krishnaji was married . I think the makers / writers believe by comparing with mythological characters and lofty references the somewhat tricky love story might be made more acceptable to older generation TRP audiences maybe ...

But yes , these references are still problematic and should be avoided ...

There was no need to bring up the topic of Anuj's sex life before AnupaMaa. Something's should be left to viewers imagination only.But I think they always planned to bring an ex of Anuj and most probably Mukku was supposed to be his ex. But since the hero wanted screen space, Mukku was made his sister so the hero could have Mukku all by himself. I also feel they wanted to show Anuj has a love child from one of his ONS. But later they changed it to adoption.
