If Anu mother and saas were at the end of a cliff who would she save.

My guess her Saas. Does she even care about her mom

most indian marraiges are arranged like anupama if groom turned out be ravan like vanraj hpow will anus family know

no one knows true color of any family or groom or bride till they marry and spend time with them

people act very well in real life they act sanskari and nice only after you marry or give them money etc you know real colors of behaviour in life

you may think you have choosen most sannskari good family like hasmukhk shahs but if they turn out serpents hows it poor anupama mother fault

her only fault is marrying her withouut finishing college may be

but shes an widow hubby dead son has small shop so she has majboori too

as woman age dowry asked is much more actually

educated women have less choice of men as college educated are very few percentage and they demand lot of dowry and grand weddings

so she got an offer from shah family and accepted it thats all

Anu may start heading towards Leela, when her own mother will highlight how wrong she is in teaching Anu to hold on to traditions n not valuing her own hearts voice, she will stop midway and head over to her own mother. If and only if, makers remember Anus mom EXIST.
