On SH drama, I think all of this is interconnected. It has to do with the major TRP fall - peak of 4.5 to 2.8/3 (I still think last week ka just didn’t add up. Same for the week before)

The issue was too much negativity and I agree with your other post, they spoilt V ka character. There were so many things they could’ve explored within SH and could’ve moved ahead. I mean if they can “revamp” they could’ve kept SH intact no?

So I feel SP has left but probably with some “conditions” hence the sudden change in the outlook. How can everyone simply become positive overnight? Dolly calling Anuj bhai is something we discussed in few threads and her accepting but not soooo easily!

SP left so slowly move out of SH drama and RS has stepped down from DKP. He’s probably either dissolving it or merging it with his daughter’s PH (the one that produced prequel). Toh basically beti will be the face and he will be the silent player or so I think

I doubt he’s shutting any show. He has 4 running to my knowledge and 3 are on star and all have a solid star cast! Unless something ekdum terrible has happened which is highly unlikely.

Probably one reasons why they haven’t been promoting the shaadi as much as the padosi show. There’s something more than meets the eye. I feel this dostana had a big big role to play and idk but I feel sitara has def intervened post the trend Cus at the end of the day, the brand name of the channel gets affected too!

SP is leaving for good? I don't care about the name of PH or Rajju uncle there or not unless the story is good and character arcs are intact! I'm even ready to compromise on budget.

And Rups did mention in live na that this whole idea of new story incorporated in Anupama is of RS only, he's a visionary blah blah blah! If he's leaving then why would he do this?

Also, anybody can see the gross changes after the trend! Defo, Sitara had a hand or two to play in it, otherwise the PH had been adamant since months now! It had to be someone powerful than PH to bring about this.

But yes the story needs to move and show some improvement. You know keeping all aside, I refuse to believe that the team that gave us the best episodes until Jan and the most loved character, could really be the ones ruining it. compare the start episodes, or even post Anuj’s entry to before the shaadi - like how can the same team get so bad? So definitely there was something ajeeb there (biased approach, friendship, more ss etc) and the audience being “woke” has caused them this. We would give anything for a good storyline. Still a lot to explore - new relationships/challenges/progress etc. ofc no doubt there will be drama and no one really would mind if it isn’t too toxic!

It is a business after all with pretty high stakes so def something major has gone down behind the screens!

Frankly they gave all chances to Vanraj as sp given prerequal also so that people may understand him but I fail to understand what was that in prerequal that people will understand him he told confidently 🤣

Nothing works for him so they have no option to go ahead with maan as maan fan following and anuj as charector has change the Anupama graph online drastically now a days online is important not like before so it has to be still i dont believe SP left

I agree, that trend was like a ticking time bomb. SP might have put the conditions that he wants his character to leave on a positive/neutral note. I feel they will experiment with less SH drama and new Kapadia house drama and see how the TRP fares. Later they always have an option to bring FOREST KING back.

It was high time for Sitara to do it. TRP falling from 4.x to 2.x is like asking for getting the shop closed. To be honest, Anupama survived because other shows were more worse than this. RG and GK saved it to an extent. DKP and PH never fathomed that Anuj's character will be this popular. I am sure they did know that in OG also, his character was very popular and it was a very good actor who portrayed that role. When he had to quit the show, the show itself wrapped up.

Also there is this other show called Pushpa coming in Sony SAB. I will watch the initial few episodes and see how it is. I loved the promo and I guess many people did. So makers should keep that also in mind.

For the actual last time, I am hoping things would change for the good. I am okay with dramas, bhaashans but atleast act according those. And close all open threads please. Do it however you like but just CLOSE them.

Yes drama toh hoga coz well star plus ka show hai.. but MaAn are married now, with a new house, possibly a new family..

Exactly Ekta. Since GK's entry.. everyone got charmed by him and people started showing that love in SM. I don't know if it's SP or RS or both of them that were hurt by that. After a lame attempt of whitewash at the hospital where he let her go.. they started to shift the focus on Vanraj with that Vanika track which failed miserably.

Yes there are lots of areas to explore: Anupama learning English properly. She said "I Love You" properly though 🙄. How she learns business and runs a dance academy/restaurant. Anuj setting up his own business. Dynamics between the 3 kids and Anuj. Misunderstandings between them and etc etc

EXACTLY! We were tired of screaming this since a few months now! The story is stuck at a place and going on in round and round loop, focusing only on toxicity and refused to close the loopholes (because that would entail serving karma to their beloved hero)

You know the team worked with their best and the show had the highest of high when they worked without pressure! I still believe, all this downfall started with SP's insecurities of Gaurav's craze and insane popularity over few days/months!

Apparently, he initially believed (and even RS) that it would be a passing character (it was anyway experimental from the PH to test the waters and how audience would accept a love angle in Anupama's life) MaAn become a hit and beyond the expectations of even the PH! So yeah! Personal jealous, professional competition, Powerful upper hand over Everyone, trying to impose those powers and all these internal issues affected the screen performance badly( even for the people working behind the screen)

Let's just agree, even as a writer or director you could only do so much to justify a negative character's deeds without making him look bad (which he is)

The next best option was to forget what he did and jump into the next thing, leaving a lot of loopholes and incompleteness in the story.

All said and done, let's hope for the best for the upcoming thing! I hope it doesn't get worst than it already was!

I'm still going with a cautious approach given the trsut issues we have had!
