Which is why, i have said many times, i liked Saans (on the same channel) million folds better.

You said it. Yes, dislike for Kavya cannot be for her affair alone, it is for the flips in her characterization.

Blame it on writers' stereotypical ways. One ALL white, ALL Anupama. The other conveniently black😆.

The characterisation of Kavya is like a sea-saw, like her having told, on many occasions that Anuj and Anupama are complementary and hence ideal.

Like now, she is part of Anuj and Anupama's wedding rituals, happily.

Her, messing up Anuj's job offer the second time round is her probably her allegiance to her husband after the face-off.

Two things here:

1. One needs to understand, Anupama had a Devika, Mr.Hansmukh, her mother, Samar to support and stand by her.

Who did Kavya have other than Nandini? It does make a difference not having someone to share her insecurities and correct her irrational behaviour.

2. Her irrational behaviour (instances you mentioned) was a result of:

a. Insecurity due to the Fear of being ALL alone.

b. Insecurity due to Anupama's presence in the scheme of things.

Think of a scenario:

Anupama and Vanraj divorce and Anupama stays where she is now and the kids visit her regularly. The family, though not readily accepting, and Kavya both get to see and endure challenges. It would then be interesting to see how much Mr.Hansmukh supports his DIL or makes the same mistake he did with Anupama.

On Kavya's part would the presence of a family have curbed her insecure instincts?

On the other hand, have always wondered how do the Shah's live and enjoy the luxuries.
