In case Of Anu, I know it may not sound too good but let’s see her for a second forgetting all drama. She has been in an abusive relationship all her life. Right from her mom’s house where she grew up seeing and probably hearing about an ideal woman’s life and the patriarchal society. Imagine being tuned like this and to top it all her in laws. Imagine being in that state for almost all your life. She is completely broken. She’s not confused. She has major trust issues and of all, she’s the one who needs therapy.

With all Anuj’s love, she can’t wrap her head around the fact that how can someone love like this. Like her basically. Selfless and that too with her.

She wants to go on with the shaadi thing but she is probably worried if her baggage of trust issues will hurt him. To me this looks like she loves him a lot and doesn’t want to be the reason of hurt, but what she is missing is that her actions could do him and her love more harm than good (but this is an extremely debatable point as to where do you draw a line)

The problem point here is she has forgotten to love herself. She has lost her identity which she’s trying to find. She is probably scared on expressing Cus time and again, all her happiness has been taken away by that toxic family. She is an example of “doodh ka jalaa…”

Agreed that she could’ve done the same (crying at the hospital, caring, hugging) for a close friend too and that probably won’t mean love. But is she the same with anyone else? Would she have accepted passes and flirts from anyone else? Again I know they don’t really justify her being in love but she is doing whatever little she thinks will make a difference and will take her point across. For her, if someone had done the same with her, she would’ve been on cloud nine. So using her examples, she is trying to do the same. Make him feel loved in her style. Which I personally don’t think are wrong or incorrect but like I said, sometimes saying it or expressing it in words is important too. We all need to be reassured. And both of these people do too. Hence why Anuj keeps reiterating. She needs to start reciprocating it too. 4 out of 10 times if not 10 on 10.

Also she always had a soft corner for him from the time of his confession. She just probably didn’t realise and it happens IRL too. We don’t come to terms till either someone tells us AND till we are ready to understand and accept. A person who is broken takes longer to understand and tune than the rest

The only thing she can and needs to do Infact is to rip the shah toxic band aid off AT ONCE. Actually, I’ll be ok even if she makes baby steps in this direction but going back to my point above, this will only happen once she is ready to understand and accept the toxicity surrounding it.

And yes the character has the potential to maybe forget Anuj if he was to leave her but having seen her progress so far, I doubt she’ll be willing to let him go

i dont believe she really can ever reciprocate. i dont think she can get vanraj and shahs out of her system in this lifetime. Bae is just there for moral support and like...oh well im already bottom tier in society so what difference does it make having him there in my life or not?

This is our prospective and in it she can go to Anuj wholeheartedly by severing all ties to Vanraj. But acc to Cvs they need Vanraj in the show and that tie wouldn’t ever be severed.
