Back in the 1800s and up to early 1920's pink was actually a masculine color.

It was in the post industrialization the boomer generation, when advertisers and trying to differentiate and attract parents to buying clothes for young children, did targeted advertising as pink for women and blue for men and now that seems the norm. 🤪

Hence, the colors are arbitrary anyway. They look good in the same way, Anu looks good in blue.😆

I enjoy their camaraderie more, as given up hope on dressing any good casual clothes for Anuj at this point. 🤣

My husband wore pink confidently and in fact it looked really good and he used to get a lot of compliments from women at his workplace. I don't believe in gender-based colors so even for my girls I try and buy clothes in all different colors. Though it's difficult to find greens and blues for little girls in USA but atleast India still has good collection so bought all rainbow colors for us 3 when I went to India in Jan.

Yup, its all about confidence to carry the clothes.

Rainbow colors 🤗

West is so targeted advertising based on data, that nowadays you would not even get ads for clothes of different colors. Hence, it would become even more difficult as only shown online, based on what algorithm thinks one would buy. 😆

and on top of that we end up buying same style of clothes for ourselves unknowingly. At times I just let my friends or my sis pick clothes for me when we go shop. You never know what suits u more! And if I could, I would wear a rainbow everyday! colors brighten up mood no matter how your day is going!

wow, didn't know that! I've always worn all colors (except orange lol orange is just bad 😆) as a child I ended up hating pink because everyone used to force me to wear pink 🤢

but @DJ, thanks for the little info about targeted advertising for children's clothes, just assumed it was something that evolved naturally!
