I love you Anu! he whispered as he gazed at his beautiful wife’s radiant face....waking up next to her was the best part of his day... as the gentle breeze and the tepid rays broke through, he spent every morning admiring her beauty, her innocence and his love sprinkled on her face.
Resting his head on his palm, he lovingly stroked her hair with the other hand and suddenly broke into a smile when he saw her frown playfully in her sleep....’I must be upto something naughty in her dreams’ he thought and smiled some more as he enjoyed her rapidly changing expressions...
“good morning” she muttered softly as she opened her eyes to find him inches away from her face. “ good morning sweetheart” he replied zestfully and planted a kiss between her brows as she coloured slightly.
“aaj kuch zyada hi pyaar aa raha hai, kya baat hai? ” she asked cheekily trying to sneak out of bed but he was quick to pull her back in saying “pyaar toh mai roz hi karta hoon tumhe par aaj thoda zyada isliye kyuki aaj ka din special hai” he pulled her closer and brushed his cheek against hers and tucked the lone strand of hair behind her ear . “Anuj mujhe jaane dijiye” she pleaded trying to break away from his tight grip. “nahin, aaj hamein kahin nahin jaana” he announced mischieviously. “kyu?, aaj koi chutti nahi, itni saari important meetings lined up hain” she strongly dismissed him and pulled out of his arms and tied her hair in a bun. “kya yaar Anu, don’t be such a bore! , Bunty ne kaha hai ki wo saari meetings sambhal lega and he has officially given us both a day off okay? “ he said jumping his eyebrows. “ but Anuj aise kaise hum kaam ko.....” before she could complete he shushed her with his finger and said “ no more work talk, ab hum sirf pyaar ki baatein karenge aur pyaar bhi karenge” .....
It was their first karwachauth together...Anuj did all his research about the rituals and their importance to make Anupama’s day special. Ever since they got married there hadnt been a single day when Anuj hadn't made her feel special but today was extra special !
Briskly wiping his hair Anuj walked out of the shower and saw Anupama getting dressed...the view was so tempting that he sprinted to grab her in his arms when her phone rang “ Devika! “ he huffed and she answered the call shrugging “Anu, kab jana hai shopping ke liye?” Devika asked excitedly. “ woh...aaj...Anuj...” Anu tried to make excuses when Anuj gestured her to say no.... “ kya mai..yeh..woh kar rahi hai Anu, thik se bol na “ said Devika and before Anu could say further Anuj snatched the phone from her and yelled “ Devika ki bacchi, kabhi toh hamein akele chod diya kar yaar” ......”ohhhh majnu Kapadia, agar mai na hoti na toh tu aur teri Anu abhi tak dosti ke junction par hi atke hote , teri gaadi ko shadi ke station tak maine pohchaya, bhool gaya kya? “ chided Devika boastfully “ haan meri maa tune hi sab kuch kiya hai, ab hamein bhi toh aapas mein kuch karne ka chance de, stop being kabab mein haddi” he said and ended the call leaving Devika gobsmacked.
Anu told Anuj off for hanging up on Devika and when Anuj tried to reason it the phone beeped again, this time it was a message from Devika that read “jaa Anu jee le apni zindagi aur karle jo kuch Anuj chahta hai😉😘😝” Anu read the message out loud first and her voice slowly started to go faint as she read further... Anuj grabbed the phone from her and burst out laughing as he read the message and said pulling her back in his arms “ab toh Devika ne bhi keh diya, ab kahan jaogi mujhse bachke Anu?”.........
cheesy yeah? I know lekin Karwachauth ke avsar par itna toh chalta hai na☺️I’ve seldom written on married couples toh please bear with me.
