Same age ppl can look different either old or youngish. It really depends on lifestyle and life experiences. I’m sure this will be mentioned in the show.

Anupamaa has been through hell recently in this one year. The last 25 yrs she has devoted her time and energy to the house and family, has three kids and doesn’t take care of herself as in doesn’t have the time (and she was content in doing that sadly) so whilst Vanraj is in his own world and affair doing exercise and protein shakes etc. Anu never did. And the constant taunts from all gets you down but the affair news was the shocker for her, that stress and heartbreak and then all the taunts after and then divorce and then cancer.. it takes a toll on you.

Now Anuj different lifestyle and rich background and has maintained himself. Modern and no stress, overworked or no kids probably and keeping fit

So I can understand that and the look. I’m sure the makers will emphasis on it cos the viewers will think about it too.

Gaurav and Rupali age gap is only 4-5 years and that’s fine. Like I said i like that he is youngish in looks and we get a different vibe with them and pairing. And also the romance will be better or shall I say more potential as well.

Chemistry looks good and Suits the characters here. There is reason. Firstly both were classmates but anu got married early and had 3 kids soon and she was made doormat and she herself never took care of herself and they say girls age soon compared to boys due to many reasons,changes they go through ( nowadays ladies do maintain and look younger than boys,partners ) and initial promo vanraj do say Anupama she looks much elder than her actual age .

In bengali version also actor playing Anuj( Rohit) is younger than lead actress in real life . they just have some 4 or 5 years age difference and he is fitness freak also in real life just like gaurav in real life and just like here also in Bengali version also he ( character of Anuj/Rohit ) looks younger than lead actress ) this is to show difference in life styles and how their life was or is.

Anuj is man who don't judge his partner, friend by their looks .even if they were married.. man like Anuj would have respected ,loved his wife ,gf ,mother of his kids , friend like Anupama even if they are of same age but she is now looking drained ,tired or aged this will not make any difference to him. That's the difference between him and vanraj or men like vanraj

Nor do I think she will get one. If lucky occasionally audiences might get one in future like she got salwar during dance competition and in bengali version lead never got make-over and she looks mature than Anuj and he likes her so . This is makers way to show difference between two men in the show and if audiences are lucky Anupama herself may try to change her looks and look better after falling for Anuj and starts taking care .

The problem is how they dress her - her saree, her heavy flashy makeup and that neat hair bun with ugly looking gajra. Even though she does look pretty in many traditional events but it also screams outdated and old lady. She is still pretty young and Rupali can surely pull off any morden clothes.

Her housewife only days are long over - a change is much needed in her routine clothes.

Just come across this post and saw Anuj anupama in one frame!

I feel anupama is looking older and Anuj is looking quite younger than her though they are of same age.

What are you guys feeling?! Please share.
