Totally agree with you. They could have totally kept Kavya's grey and practical. Thats all you need in this house to be looked down upon. Her asking V and Toshu, Pakhi to make their own tea/coffee is enough to start fights in this family.

Anupama's nose budding in everyone's business can also be another reason for Kavya's firm behavior.

Same with Rakhi. She was the best character in this show. She was the only one who could show these clowns a mirror.

They did this to Rakhi and Kavya to glorify Anupama. Which definitely does not go well with the modern/educated crowd.

@bold : Moral of the story is "Education" can make you senseless evil so nobody should study after 12th or should drop school/college mid way because padha likhai se bhi 95% mass evil he hota hai.

Definitely this show is all about showing anupama is always right and whatever anupama does is always right and mainly focus is only on how to glorify lead and demean "Education" using educated people.

Anupama character herself is classic example of senseless, low self esteem woman who always feels over whelming in every next situation and badly needs to attend meditation/yoga session to improve her mental health.

95% educated characters of this show are evil!😲lol only samar and anupama character who are under graduate can behave like good human, otherwise graduate characters are evil/selfish/ what not!

Yeah an undergraduate degree in some or other subject, as well as being proficient in English would be the bare minimum requirements for a teacher's job at an English medium school... you are 100% right, no such school would hire a lady like Anupama as a proper class teacher.

It would have been so refreshingly realistic and genuinely relatable for a lot of the target audience if they had shown Anu's first job being something a woman in her position (educated in vernacular medium, no degree, no work experience) would actually do.

That would have been the best way to show an older housewife's journey to make her own identity. If they really desperately wanted her to do a more white collar type of job (which is stupidly elitist in itself imo), then they could at least have shown her start studying for a degree or something.

But of course CVs have to show something so ridiculously unrealistic just to glorify her character some more 🤡.

Did you watch last 2 episode? Her daughter was damn bratty and insulted her so much . Just like every situation, she used her mamta bandaid as temporary fix and bratty won trophy and become start. All the deeds of bratty are done and dusted now🤢Wow this bratty is damn lucky!

I guess after some time, again some 3rd party will do bratty's brainwash and again bratty will be back to square. Neither anupama nor her family wants to fix anything from the root.

Pankhi's super fast redemption/realisation just by that one incident was just as weird as her ridiculously over the top bratty/rude behaviour before that 😕.

And you are right, they are very likely to turn Pankhi evil again at any random point in the future, and have Anu just quietly cry at her words saying "Maa hoon na" repeatedly (never mind that mothers reprimanding their kids when they feel it's necessary is actually the norm in the real word) 🤡.

I don’t see any discredit to education implied in the show - maybe I am missing something. I see it differently, it is the lack of education and the lack thereof of the means to stand on her own two feet financially that has caused Anupama all these problems. Not saying one needs an education to be successful, one doesn’t. But the premise of the show is that Anupama wanted to pursue a degree and make a career outside of the house which was cut short by the old fashioned constraints of the Shah household.

There is never any disrespect towards Kinjal or even for that matter Kavita about their professional careers. The undercurrent of disrespect and derision towards Anupama is always laced with contempt for being a gavar, for not having an education, for not being able to procure employment outside of the four walls of the house. Maybe that contempt is taken too far, while education is to be prized above all else (Lakshmi can go away, Saraswathi never, is the saying), education doesn’t necessarily have to be book based, so to put down Anupama’s lack of traditional schooling is a bit much.

I hope how the others view Anupama in the Shah household drastically changes with the entry of Anuj Kapadia.
