Living on property owned by one set of parents (Vanraj & Anu) is the right thing to do. But living on property owned by another set of parents (Dave's) becomes a matter of self respect.

They try to present themselves as quite accepting & progressive. But push the same toxic sentiment that husband's family is a couple's real family, while wife's family are outsiders

Exactly! They are trying hard to show themselves quite accepting and progressive but all are extremely orthodox and believes husband’s family is couple’s real family while wife’s family are outsider.

This is heights of gender discrimination! 😡

The thing is, Kinjal is Daves' only child. So sooner or later, she is going to be responsible for all their business and property. And it looks like she was honed to take up that responsibility. But since she refused to join her family business, Rakhi chose Toshu, who is the closest to Kinjal. And Toshu is not some failure case that Rakhi made a mistake in choosing him. He is said to be really smart. Even Kinjal said that Toshu is more intelligent and smart than her. So it is only fitting that Daves wanted Toshu to take up business responsibilities since Kinjal was not available. And it is a common practice for parents to gift properties and houses to their kids to use as they wish. Whish is what Rakhi did. If Kinjal and Toshu can stay with Shahs, then there is nothing wrong for them to stay in the penthouse, which is technically owned by Kinjal herself.

But this is not the case with Anupama. Shahs are her ex in-laws. Starting a business in their land is completely not OK. If the academy belonged to Samar, then it is another thing. Since he is the grandson, he has a right on it. Same cannot be said for Anupama. The moment Leela and Vanraj goes back to their moron selves, the first thing they will do is to taunt Anu for using their land, free of cost. It is really stupid of Anupama to trust Shahs of people. They change colors faster than a chameleon. The best thing for her to do was to take a small building for rent for the time being and start her academy there. Later, once they have established solidly, she can buy a building of her own. Taking charity from Shahs, especially with people like Vanraj, Leela and Kavya around is so stupid.

Frankly speaking, Anuapama's self respect has gone for a toss from the time they returned to Shah house. She has gone back to her full time maid and sympathizing with everyone role, which is quite disappointing.

I have a different view on this. I dont think there is anything wrong fro Hasmukh to offer Anu his factory since he considers his daughter and she has done more than her share for that family and totally deserves that much.

What should not have happened is them making her stay under the same roof with a cheater ex and his new vamp. Instead of the house they should have given her the factory to start a fresh life.

And yes, nothing wrong with Rakhi Dave for thinking and looking out for her daughter. she has full rights, and more than the shah's on her daughter. Glad she knows that and wont take any crap regarding that.

@bold: Shah house is not build by toshu and Samar ‘s khoon pasine ki kamai . Shah house ke piche paisa bapuji and vanraj ka hai and in a same way penthouse ke piche paisa rakhi ka hai. Technically Toshu and Samar is already living in the house build by father and grandfather and not on their own but if same thing kinjal/toshu does with the property build by kinjal’s parents then there comes gender discrimination in the picture.

Basically in the Indian society if men and wife lives in the house build by his father then his self respect can be protected but in case if they lives in the house built by girl’s father/mother, self respect will go down in gutter!

As you said in the first paragraph, Only daughters have huge responsibility on their shoulder and I am seeing so many only daughters around me who are wishes to stay unmarried only because of genders discrimination of society. When it comes to property, it’s crystal clear thing parents will give their everything from house to property to their only daughter. And here there is no place of self respect words because it is parents choice what they want to do with their hard earned property and to whom they want to give their hard earned house/office property. It is common practice by single girl child’s parent to try to enroll their daughter in their business and if not daughter then son in law. The way Shah family has right on kinjal, Dave family has also right on Paritosh.

Again u took.away my heart with the last para

I can't understand we talk about gender equality ..where does this go when fam structure is discussed.

My bhabs and her sis are only gals. Her sis is in US. So my bro asked his in laws to seek their house in Mumbai and buy a place next to them.in Mangalore. They get some pension and Bhai helps with rest and with chores. We have never felt it's out of place or wrong.

I have another cousin who moved in with his in-laws when they had a health crisis and their business took a toll. He brought it back so Mamu wrote the business and house to his daughter who stood by him and not his son who was in UK. It's his prop earned by his hard work and his decision whom to give it to

@bold ❤️❤️❤️

My devrani(sister in law) is only daughter to her parents. Her parents are settled in Bangalore since years and they have their own IT business .My devrani and devar are also IT professionals and were working in bangalore MNC. Just after engagement my devrani's father decided to take retirement due to his ill health so he wanted to handover his business to my devrani-devar. My devar-devrani found so much potential in the existing business and they take the business to another level with their new ideas and applications. For months my devarani and devar stays to her parent's place because there is nobody who can take care of uncle and my devrani doesn't want to leave her father alone with maids.

It was nothing like my devar has no potential ,my devar is scholar from engineering days. It's just that he found potential in his father in law's business and expanded it so well.

I can truly feel my devrani's struggle in bangalore. She has to look after her ill father+ his business+his property everything because her father wants transfer everything to his only daughter seeing his ill health.

Our family is extremely understanding and we truly accept the fact that the way we have right on my devrani, her parents has all the right on my devar.

Although rakhi is not ill but kinjal is only daughter so i can understand the life of only daughter very well and i can understand the decision of giving house+ office etc to beti jamai.
