Kavya was right when she said aise cafe's roz khulte hain & roz band hote hain. And Vanraj, being vulnerable right now, is falling for these stupid ideas because of his family & Anupamaa.

50% cafes close doors in 2 years. 70% cafes close doors in 5 years. It's an extremely risky industry best reserved for those who have other income sources to fall back on.

Anupamaa must be genius at cooking & empathy, but she doesn't understand business AT ALL. She needs to stop sharing her food-first minded ideas with vulnerable people. Because the man she's gave this idea to neither understands food, nor consumer care.

Vanraj wants to be a business owner. Great! He's at the perfect age & career point to do it. But F&B industry is not it. He needs to open up a business that he understands, not one that will close down before the loans are paid off.

Kavya was 100% right in putting her foot down against this idea. But the way she speaks is so sickening, everyone would rather agree with Anupamaa's dumbfu¢k ideas than Kavya's seasoned logic.

Vanraj investing in the cafe is a good idea primarily because of the low amount of investment he will have to make. The land is owned by Hasmukh and he can get the furniture and kitchen supplies for a low rate from his friend.

Yes, these businesses don't last forever but can ensure a good short term return for as long as the place works.

Kavya is giving a decent idea as well, but let's face it, Vanraj is approaching retirement age and at this age, working professionals usually leave 9-5 jobs to pursue hobbies, spend time with family or start their own small businesses.

No one will hire Vanraj and teach him everything about the work processes. He is not as young as Aniruddh or even Kavya, who can still land a decent job.

The most ideal approach here is that Vanraj run this business as something that prevents him from sitting idle and not have any huge expectations from it. It's about time Paritosh and Samar began earning themselves along with their wives, Pakhi completes her education to get a good job, and Anupamaa can support HasLee and herself with her income, because Vanraj cannot be the sole breadwinner of the house anymore, however large his ego might be.

And about VanYa starting a family? Well, too bad it's too late. If Kavya wants one she needs to work for it as well, because Vanraj is neither interested nor capable of doing it all over again.

Nah ah. Even just considering salaries+variable bills, it takes cafes too long to break even to be a good short-term investment. It's just a waste of Vanraj's precious time, as Kavya rightfully said. He needs to build a sustainable business that he already knows.

Moreover, the dude isn't even 50 yet. He's over 15 years away from retirement. In fact people in the private sector work till their 80s if they want. Not just for survival, I'm talking about billionaires & millionaires. And Vanraj clearly enjoys working.

There's no need for him to upskill or reskill too. It's so weird that even startups have rejected him. Usually they chase people like Vanraj & throw crazy money their way. His job issues are clearly not about his age, that's clearly just an excuse. He's senior management in late 40s. He should be extremely hirable. There's no logical reason for his job woes, other than that he's just bad at what he does LOL

But he was removed from his previous job, that also reflects badly on your CV. It was not like he had resigned, but he was thrown out. That could also be one of the reason for him having a difficulty in getting a job.

But he should start business of his own field, if I am not wrong he handled marketing in the company.
