A point to add here is that even though Geeta was not at her best behaviour, Leela was also not very respectable towards her.
Both Leela and Kavya totally lost track of what dignity of labour is. Leela was not at all behaving civil with Geeta, to the extent of raising her hands and feet to slap or kick her, the moment she was going back to snoozing. Leela could have objected to Geeta's items calmly as well, but she chose to speak in a quarrelsome tone from the very beginning.
And Kavya was expecting her to act as her personal sidekick.
I liked the fact that Anupamaa spoke of her in the same breath as Kinjal, Kavya and her own self, as a working woman who gets paid for her efforts. But disrespecting Leela is something that triggers her, even if what she spoke was wrong, just because she is an elderly person. Is it right for Leela to behave badly with a blue collar worker just because she can? Anupamaa said that Geeta should not use her poverty to play victim. But hasn't she herself and her family too, always been belittled by Leela for being poor?
I knew that Geeta will be kicked out soon, but it would have been more acceptable if she was ousted for doing something grave like theft or giving someone allergenic food inspite of repeated warnings, not because of Leela's whimsical attitude.
