Anupama told the truth was nice but what people like Gita are not to be trusted. Today she was adding Mirch Masala to Kavya...

People like Gita are not on anyone's side

I hope you are mature enough to understand why these terms are inappropriate.

@bold are you serious??!?!

For the bold lines I am kidding. It was just a part of fun.

@Guneet...I am writing here. So I don't know a similar word to describe them. But I have 3 servants in house. I address them as not Tu or Tum. I call them Aap. I am a young girl, but still this tradition we have to not disrespect anyone

Even if that female worker brings a kid with them.

I call them Aap (Tamare in Gujarati, As I am a Gujarati)

I am writing here. I dont know a better word to describe them. Even maid is not suitable word. Its naukarani you know

SORRY IF YOU FELT BAD

You are still referring to your house help as "servants" wow.

Also, addressing them as aap or treating them as a fellow human being who equal to you, is not something that warrants praise. It's just basic decency. I really don't know why you're saying it as if you did a really big thing.

I think hindi has a better word, they refer to them as didi or aunty if they're older or just kaamwali works even. But not stuff like naukrani. It's really awful. Nobody wants to be called that.
