Expectations from working women

This track looks yet another way to show the fact that women who don't do house-work are bad. The maid will almost definitely steal stuff or do something else shady and Kavya will be scolded for it.

But there are so many things problematic about this,

1. If Jhilmil is not coming, why are Paritosh and Vanraj not being expected to contribute to housework? The could have atleast done grocery shopping which men can do.

Kinjal conveniently told Toshu not to get into feminine matters of the house. Why is housework only a feminine matter?

2. If Kavya can afford and wants to eat out of takeaway, why is she being judged? Vanraj may have a pampered gut, but Kavya is used to hotel food right? Why can't she eat it?

3. Anupamaa has micromanaged cooking as per everyone's needs when she was a housewife, but why aren't the people in the house offering to eat typical one-type-fits-all dishes instead of her worrying about if the maid will be able to cook as per everyone's demands or not. Hasmukh may have medical limitations but what about others?

4. I feel absolutely flabbergasted when both Vanraj and Kavya come home from work and obviously Kavya has done actual work compared to Vanraj just attending one interview, but she is being expected to make tea and is looked at with judgemental eyes if she doesn't

Yes I know Kavya is a vamp now, but showing her do things that an average career woman would do and project it as bad, when Anupamaa and Kinjal are shown as super-human ninjas managing work and housework while the men don't give any substantial help is just chauvinistic according to me

I agree with each and every point it’s good to do house work but not on cost of your own well being men of the house enjoying great time and women has to manage both work and house otherwise she is a bad person

This stereotype put so much burden on women in general

Well said…. Pehle toh makers ne dikhaya tha kavya used to manage maid in her precious house but ab zabardasti ka Anupama aur Kavya ka comparison dikhane ke liye Kavya(working women) ko galat dikha rahe hai ki maid rakhna unke liye galat hai and they should manage household work as well…. They are setting wrong expectations… zabardasti maid ko bhi bekar dikhayenge yeh makers….. while this is not the usual case….

And working people do need maids…. Everyone is not as mahan as Anupama jo operation ke baad kaam bhi kare aur khana bhi banaye….

Absolute trash in the name of Women Empowerment

The objective of the makers was to show "Women Empowerment" . In simple words "Women Empowerment" means women should get equal opportunities and...
