Opinions on Rakhi Dave - Page 2

I don't like her but loved her points. She is very particular in what she does and what she says. She just loves her daughter and wants her happiness.

So far she has came across as a rich, arrogant lady with a caustic tongue but her daughter's interest at heart. Her means might have been questionable but not the ends she wanted.

I really loved her during the resort episode. I still remember her telling how she can understand what Anupama might be going through and how she doesn't want a son of a cheater as a husband for her own daughter. Her points were absolutely practical and spot on.

Of late, however, she is shown resorting to petty means to settle her scores with Anupama. C'mon Rakhi is much classier and better character than the one to indulge in such corny tactics..

However, as a character, she is the most vibrant and interesting among them all. The character is layered with multiple shades. Kudos to the actor playing the role for evoking such diverse and often contrary feelings in the audience..

Tbh i dont like the way she insults shahs all the time i mean i prefer if she insults baa and vanraj then i would be very happy they deserve to be insulted after what anu went through

Kinjal needs to open her eyes and see rakhis practicality i loved it when she said in the resort how can i accept a family that has a man having extra marital affair.which mother would want to see their daughter married into a family where the father is doing all this.and also knowing neither toshu or kinjal is financially stable,rakhi anger and concern is justified.

Rakhi doesnt want kinjal to be another anu which we all can see by toshus behaviour.toshu is another vanraj so i dont think rakhi is wrong as she wants the best for her child if anu can do anything for her children why not rakhi she is a mother after all (but yes she needs to stop venting her venom on wrong people).i would love to see kinjal understanding her mother and take some good qualities from her so she shouldn t get bullied like how anu got from baa.

If we look at this from a non bias pov, if I was in Rakhi position and my only child, daughter was in love, and the boy father was having an EMA, I would be against such marriage. Toshu was always on his dad side, when it came to his life being messed up by his dad, he sided with Anupama for selfish reason.

This does not change Toshu before behaviour, when he learnt about the affair, his mom driving ect. Rakhi knows love is blind, Toshu lacks maturity so she does not want her daughter to be hurt.

It is too late now, marriage has happened, the only thing Rakhi can do is make sure, Kinjal never becomes Anupama 2.0, have her will stamped out and become a doormat. Anupama has woken up but that was after 25 years. So Rakhi method is wrong but what she does, is for the love of her child.

Rakhi needs to play this smart. Kinjal knows she was behind Kavya mess, she needs to stop with the poor/rich speech, stop with the schemes, support her daughter and just be there for her. Anupama didn't have anyone to stand up for her so she was ok to be treated like crap, thankfully Rakhi is not going to let that happen to her daughter.

Though obviously demanding expensive gifts from Shah family, doing the drama at the resort, trying to force Kinjal to marry some guy in America are obviously wrong, all the points Rakhi made against Shah family are right imo...

Till the she found out about the affair, Anu used to let Vee, Baa, Toshu, Paankhi get away with literally anything... ok tolerating bs from husband and inlaws is one thing (though that is not right either btw), but kids being that rude and disrespectful to their mother for no reason, with no consequence is just so wrong on so many levels... and it is not just wrong but extremely weird 😳... your average Indian mom would give her kids the shouting of a life time if they behaved like Toshu and Pankhi in the beginning (possibly accompanied with a beating too 😆)...

And then after finding out... it was great that Anu no longer put up with Vanraj's rubbish (driving, doing dance lessons, meeting Devika, asking him and rest of the family to serve themselves...) but how she felt she couldn't tell anyone about the affair and kept it secret said terrible things about the culture of that family...

Everything Rakhi used to say in the beginning about the hypocrisy and double standards of the Shah family is completely true! And even many normal middle class families of a traditional mindset would dislike what goes on in Shah family btw, it's not just because Rakhi is some overly westernised, elitist snob (or just because she's "mean") as makers sometimes portray...

I love the actress who plays her role she likes all my comments on IG 🥰

Coming to rahki I just love her I’m am only watching for her I agree tht she rly good points to prove but her way is wrong 😑

Yes Vee and Baa deserve all the insults lol... but I agree it makes me cringe when she insults Anu who has been through so much recently, and is so nice to Kinjal 😒...

And I agree with you that it's annoying when Kinjal acts like there is no point to what Rakhi says and she's just being mean... like girl why can't you see the way this family runs is not "sanskari" or even normal at all... to Vanraj and Baa sanskar means only supressing wife/DIL with rules that don't apply to anyone else in the house 😵...

Exactly I actually loved Rakhi exposing the affair at the resort too 👏... it was wrong on Rakhi's part to expose it in front of everyone like that and felt bad for Anu and Bapuji as well but what to do... if Anu isn't going to tell everyone the truth then someone else has to! Vee and Kavya richly deserved to be publicly shamed for their activities, and Baa, Pankhi, Toshu needed to see Vee's reality...

But coming onto Toshu, I disagree that he's just like Vanraj... he really loves Kinjal and he'll literally do anything for her/because she wants it (remember when he was ready to cut ties with his family and become Rakhi's ghar jamai??) But that doesn't mean he won't become like Vanraj later on due to the prevailing culture in his family... (and he's clearly not the best person judging by his treatment of his mom pre-revelation)... so we'll have to see whether in the coming episodes or not Rakhi is right regarding Toshu...

I don't think her core intentions/beliefs are wrong though... she just wants her daughter to marry into a family where she would be respected as a wife/DIL/mother, and allowed to pursue her own dreams alongside those roles too... imo it's just Rakhi's methods that are wrong (lying, shaming Shah family for their class, exposing the affair in public instead of telling the family privately, etc.).

If she had acted genuinely explaining to Kinjal and won her over to her side she would have been respectable. Her actions to hurt Anupama that too below the belt makes her the Voldemort of the plot.

Her character was made worse as the story proceeded tbh... bringing Kavya to the wedding was so unnecessarily nasty...

Though tbf I do feel Rakhi tried to explain her side to Kinjal but Kinjal wouldn't listen... remember she kept meeting Toshu and his family secretly, saving him under fake contacts in her phone, etc. ...

and how disgusting and cruel was when she stepped on Anu s foot withe heal on it , what is wrong is wrong we cant deny that

Yeah that was nasty and also out of character (for the Rakhi we saw in first 4-5 months or so of the show)
